Re: is there a way that we the fans can be heard???
I know protest by going out and buying a dallas jersey and everyone show up wearing Dallas stuff. How about protest by buying a beer at the game then dumping it out. I know don't go to game or use your allready paid for tickets.

If you or anyone else organize the website and paypal stuff I promise to donate $20 to it. Do they have billboads in DC though? I know Fairfax doesnt. Maybe in MD on 495 by the stadium? |

How about "Honk if You Hate Danny Snyder"

Re: is there a way that we the fans can be heard???
I just spoke to Jay at USA Outdoor Media, and the whole DC area is protected with beautification laws. However; there are still billboards available that were grandfathered in. Basically all this means is low supply in a area with high demand, so it will cost 4-5k for the whole process (including making the advertisement). I think raising that in DC would be easy if Buffalo can pull it off pretty quickly.
I don’t have any website experience and the people I know are pretty amateurish. Is anyone willing to put a website together? |

Re: is there a way that we the fans can be heard???
Personally I think we could take inspiration from other disgruntled teams' fans' ideas, like for instance how we're organizing this DC billboard thing because of the Bills fans doing it. There are other ways we as a fanbase can voice our displeasure as well. If we could get enough people that go to the games behind it we could all march, and wear paper bags on our heads as we march. We couldn't get kicked out partly because we wouldn't be wearing paper bags in the stadium, and partly because as long as it was a civil march, similar to the ones they did in Detroit to get Millen fired, than it would be a peaceful protest that would be handled civilly.
The only thing though would how would the fanbase organize such a mass protest for the people actually going to the game? Then again you wouldn't need tickets just to march, you'd only need tickets to get into the game. |

10k of them? I have no idea. I'd love to see it happen but word would have to be spread. But the great thing is you don't need people that have tickets, you just need Redskins fans that want things to change bad enough that they are willing to drive out there and participate in this march. I don't think that would happen but a man can dream. |

No more Redskin merchandise for me, that's the only way that I can have a voice.

It allows you to set a fundraising goal (ie 5k), everyone pays via paypal and if we CANT raise enough everyone gets their money back. Plus being a third party takes away a lot of the ifyness of giving money over the internet. I am waiting for a detailed quote from Jay, if its reasonable im going to start the fund. Anyone interested in helping out send me pm. Anyone with any legal background please chime in about what not to do (ie use the Redskins name, logo, colors, Dannys name, anything). My hope is that we have something together by the Monday Night Eagles... |
Re: is there a way that we the fans can be heard???
You have a good point, that would be tempting. I'm kinda superstitious, so I would not switch to the game because it would jinx them and cause them to start losing.
Speaking of superstition. I told this girl living with me, not to talk to me during the game and right when the punt at the end of the game was kicked, she walked in to the room i was watching the game in and asked me if i wanted a beer. As she is saying that im watching the game and i see a fair catch being called, and again I hear the vioce of defeat "Do u need a beer" and BAM there goes the game. Im sorry for the loss fellas. I keep thinking if only I filled the ice chest up and locked the door. We would have won but no, I focused to much on what i was wearing the last game we won, and what mug i was drinking out of, and that i was opening the beers before the play not during. I could go on but. It was all her fault, The Bringer of Defeat. And trust me she had an earful of my drunkin rant, of how she is all that is evil in the world. And why at that moment and time did she have to come and ask me for a beer? While during the whole game i did not hear a peep. Am I over reacting? |
