Re: Around the nfl: Pre season week 1
He will. Even though this was an exhibition game, he looked the same as he did in college and it will translate to the pro game. When it's all said and done (barring career ending injury) he will be one of the best of all time. I hope RGIII plays as well, I'm more familiar with Luck, his most impressive quality is his ability to make a quick decision.
He won't be. Not just because he can't stay healthy, but because the previous 5 years in the league he hasn't done diddly squat. He had potential. But as John Gruden said "Potential means you haven't done it yet." He's just never healthy and with the position he plays, he never will be healthy. Backs today start to become finished by age 30. McFadden's about to be 25. He won't even be mentioned in the top 50 all time. SIDE NOTE. What happened to Nield? EDIT: Wow my bad..I need some sleep definitely thought you were talking about McFadden and not Luck still. Yes Luck definitely can be one of the better QBs this game has seen, but so could/can Mr. Bob Griffin |

Re: Around the nfl: Pre season week 1
Do you think we keep 2 DTs if Neild is serious and goes to IR or would they keep 3 regardless?

Yes we keep 2. We did it last year. Baker has been getting rave reviews in camp and if you saw the buffalo game the other night you would've seen why. Do I smell an Anthony Bryant signing coming soon..? |
Re: Around the nfl: Pre season week 1
Dear Dallas Schmowboys,
You looked like crap last night. Your pal, Alvin |
Re: Around the nfl: Pre season week 1
I'm still amazed that Oakland gave up all those picks for Carson Palmer. What a terrible trade.
With all the hype about RG3 and Luck, what about Russell Wilson? |

Not during his playing career, but still former arrest for striking a woman when he was 22. Never heard about this |

Re: Around the nfl: Pre season week 1
So, in the Dallas/Oakland 3-0 game, should we be impressed by the defenses or laugh at the offenses?
Oakland sacked Romo in very limited minutes. Dallas had a few INTs. Or...are both teams just completely inept on offense? I did not get to watch the game but when I heard the score this morning, I did laugh. |

It was delightful to watch. |
Re: Around the nfl: Pre season week 1
Going to have to catch the replay, at least of the 1st quarter.
Dear Dallas Schmowboys,
You looked like crap last night. Your pal, Alvin
Hey, lets give kudos to those replacement officials shall we. They routinely threw penalty flags in excess of 20 yards with more power and accuracy than Rudy Carpenter did with a football. |
Re: Around the nfl: Pre season week 1
You're right, the refs wouldn't let your o-line block anyone.

MY o-line? MY o-line? Hey don't associate my name with that POS interior! My statement was a jab at Rudy Carpenters inability to play the position of QB. I wouldn't even give him clipboard to hold, he might drop it. |

Every MLB game scored more points than that game did yesterday (Hell the nationals scored more points than 1/4 of the games did this past weekend) |
