Re: Lost Some Faith In Shanahan
You know what, yes, the whining is out of control. You know what else, it's completely fukcing justified. This isn't Rex Grossman or another Joe who got hurt. This is possibly the greatest talent we've seen at QB in our lifetime. I don't think that's an over-exaggeration one bit.
Those of you who are telling the rest of us to cool it, chill, or whatever -- seem to be missing the point (or maybe you're not). This could have been avoided. That's what has everyone pissy. It's not the nature of the injury or even the fact that it happened. We all know this is the NFL. Shit happens. Superstars get hurt every week. You move on. It's the gross negligence and carelessness that has the fan base up in arms. I'll bet this shit will go on for a good little while too. |

Injuries happen, it's football.
People need to get a grip, and maybe some perspective on life just a bit? |

With RG's style of play it was just a matter of time. He should have slid legs first (against Baltimore) and he never would have got hurt in the first place. But he did, the kids got an ego and thinks he's Superman when everyone kept telling him he needs to protect himself. I put just as much blame on RG3 as I do Mike Shanahan for keeping him in there when he was obviously injured. |

It is obviously not that obvious given a lot of these posts. |
Re: Lost Some Faith In Shanahan
I might be more pissed if Beck or Grossman were the back ups. I just have complete and total confidence in Cousins. He's performed very well in pre season, he's performed very well against Cleveland and I expect him to be even better next year. That pick a lot of us bitched about sure looks pretty damn good now doesn't it?

This most certainly could have been avoided. I'm talking about the Baltimore game, all the ensuing games, snaps it was clear he wasn't close to 100%. Not even 70%. Should have been pulled after that second TD. Maybe he shouldn't have played at all. The Baltimore hit is what it is. Clean play, clean hit. That happens. No one's upset about that. |
This thread is going somewhere it doesnt have to go. Im not sure why we cant talk about our future(rg-3) and his injury, without (as usual) choosing sides. Lets morph away from blame and concentrate on the recovery of Griff and the future of this team. Imo Griff will be 100 % at the start of the season. Also - and imo most important the chance of a freak injury (like the ngata hit which started all of this) happening again are no greater than they are for any other player with a football in his hands. Just last nite the word was he is out for 2013 possibly. An hour later it was he will be ready for the opener. In three months he will be he should be dressed for last game ofthe pre-season.

My guess is he will start on PUP list, I think he would have to miss first 6 games not sure.
Bottom line is we can't go back in time and take him out of the game. There is no one person to blame for this it's mix from coaching staff, RG3, medical staff. We have to move forward and the team will find ways to improve this team to be better next year with or without RG3 to start the season. It's a positive that Kirk can get all the offseason reps and be very prepared to start the season and who knows, we could get off to a hot start with Kirk. |
Re: Lost Some Faith In Shanahan
hire del rio! he's a proven winner, and just what this team needs.

Httr
Dude, how about letting people vent and say what's on their minds? If people choose not be "negative" and focus on the knee, fine. If they want to talk about how much Shanny sucks, there's a thread for that too. Fans are justifiably upset. There's nothing wrong with that. Let people be emotional. EDIT: This is the Shanny sucks thread. So it's totally fine to post that shit here:) |

I was more referring to the fact that if i, or you say what we feel it becomes so black and white. If i say Shanny ****ed up i am a whiner or i want him fired? Lol. So im trying to take the high road and get on with the future and the recovery of Griff. Believe me im the last one to stand in the way of the voicing of any venting or opinions. Wouldnt be a good forum without it. |

Edit: im not sure ive ever met a mormon period? Are they the ones that knock on my door all the time? They seem nice.
Probably. When we were little kids some mormons gave my friend (who was poorer than my family, which was no small feat) a bike!! I've never forgotten that. |
