Yeah as really the guy being signed is indeed a huge risk over being injured. It is that C.T.E. thing sadly!

It's a 7th rd pick, hardly a huge gamble on our part.

yeah, seriously, as much as I'd like this guy to come in and be the body moving Center we need, first & foremost is his health.

Really hoping science finds something to help curb the concussions in football.

It definitely happens too much.

He'll probably fare better than Jimmy Graham.

Graham had the same type of injury that Cruz had, and I've heard that it is very difficulty for players to come back from it. Cruz had that injury two years ago I believe, and had trouble coming back last year.

how do you guys feel about the bosa situation? if it were our team i'd be pissed at him but w the chargers, i say stand firm and see what happens.

the major divide is the amount of guaranteed money this year, is that about right?

As mentioned on the last page, Bosa isn't asking for anything different than what any other #3 pick of the NFL draft has gotten since the new CBA rookie scale.(2011) Either they have had deferred bonus with no offset language, or they had upfront bonus with offset language. They're received one of the two conditions. The Chargers are trying to break that trend, and give him neither the full 100% bonus upfront nor negating any offset language. No agent in their right mind is going to cave to that shit and rightfully so. It would be like asking a #3 pick to take less than a #11 pick. The Spanos are just arrogant dumbfucks, which is exactly why Eli forced a trade out of San Diego.
The fact remains that, since 2012, the third overall pick has had either no offset or no deferral. The Chargers knew this when they earned — and kept — the third overall pick. If a team doesn’t want to pay the price that goes along with drafting a player that high, the team either should finish lower in the pecking order or trade down.
It's not helping them either talking trash in public about negotiations. At this point, I wouldn't sign with the Chargers even if they gave into the demands. Those idiots are about to lose their #3 overall pick for being dipshits.
