Well a lot of my mod powers have been removed so I won't delete this. And I completely understand all the frustration here. Let's just try to focus on the positive here. A new exciting Redskins site is coming soon, and the opportunity has presented itself for some people on this site to really step up. As Matty has indicated, the current regime is not to his standards anyway.

That people of good intent should disagree on how to best execute a labor of love is not a new concept. Sometimes such disagreements lead to new and innovative concepts and sometimes they fall flat on their face. However this should work out ... fair winds and trailing seas to those that must leave the nest. To those staying here, I will continue to enjoy your company.

I was gonna stay out of this, but I can't...I've been coming here too long. I wasn't around for the Yahoo! days, but I was here back when BrudLee hit his 1000th post the first time. On the old boards back before our post counts got reset.

I've been coming to the Warpath for a long time and I have to say this really bothers me and as much as I respect Matty's ability to attract people to this site, if this is real, I won't be a member here when the new one opens. You can change my avatar or whatever you want, I don't really care. I'll be a "Defector" it doesn't matter to me. I agree with Gman that we have a right to know what the hell is going on. Plenty of us do. Plenty of people have been members of this site for too long to be kept in the dark, however Matty wants to try to take the high road...that's fine.

However, when you banned Malcolm you lost me. That's ridiculous. If this is a hoax I'll be angry. However, if it's not, I won't be attending this site for much longer.

This is a shame. I guess as things grow, there are going to be differences between people. Brud, for the record, I loved your power polls. Playing it straight can work, but Howard Stern has proved that playing it on the edge works too. Either way, I cannot see myself leaving the warpath as my premier site. Honestly, you guys have your work cut out for you. Good luck to everyone. I'm sure I'll check with the new site too.

Malcolm was starting to get a little out of hand both here on the boards and with his PM's to me. I gave him a temporary ban to chill out and he agreed with the rationale.

The whole story will come out in time, right now it's just too hot of an issue.

Ok, it's gone on long enough that if this is a joke, you've got me. I was convinced it couldn't be real......but i have to think it is now because too many members of this site are way too PO'd to keep it going on any longer. So if it's a joke, good job getting everyone on board to make it look pretty darn real.

If it's not a joke, then this is a very sad day indeed and I'm sorry to see it have come to this. I reiterate that I will probably visit both sites as regularly as possible, and I wish the best to TAF, Brud, Sheriff, Schneed, and TMC in their new endeavors. I'll still consider this my primary "home", but I see no reason not to wish the others well. The more successful Redskins Fan sites we have on the internet, the better this world will be.

I'm now off to my vacation, convinced that when I come back, this won't be a joke after all.

It is something we have consistently strived to do, unfortunately I think all the moderators can agree we have let our personal pride take over what is best.

Throughout the day we have continued working behind the scenes trying to resolve this issue, even while sadly slinging mud in public. This behavior is not typical of any of us and is of no good to any of you.

At this point our differences amongst the mods are simply too far apart. However, we have agreed that the best decision is not for any of us to decide. We're going to let the people decide and "settle the score" as it were. Let's not continue with the namecalling in this thread, let's hear from all of you now. What do you want? What's missing? What's good?

Now is the time for all of you to step up and tell us why you keep coming back to this site. But more importantly, what you want to see that will encourage you to come back more often, participate more, and tell your friends about it.

And hopefully we can resolve these petty differences and work together to create the best site for everyone.

this is a great site. frankly, it is a little bit embarrassing watching this kind of public flogging being aired. it is not the way professionals handle things. change the locks and call security to escort the miscreants out the door. set up an alternative site and all of us out here will decide where we want to spend our time. it serve zero purpose for you professionals to descend to the level of us amateurs and sling mud.. behave like the adults you all purport to be.

As far as what i liked, I like the power polls, I like the cap sheets, I like most of the people, I like the clean look and ease of use.

Scheed, I know you said CC was possessive and didn't work hard enough, but every time i've ever brought up a problem or question, he's always had it fixed or answered the same day, and the cap sheets just don't change enough to merit weekly updates, but whatever, not here to get in a pissing match, I just don't think those comments were called for.

I regret everyone who feels the need to spout insults like 5 year olds. I'm not privy to the private mod discussions, maybe its justified, but i doubt it. Hopefully everyone's cooled down now...

I don't know what i'm doing about the whole thing (As if anyone cared :P) but i'll try to get a hold of someone on IM first anyways.

I think this is really simple at this point. Regardless as to what all of us want (and you'll get hundreds of different answers to that), the real question is after all of this, can all you get along? Can what was said be forgotten and move on? And if it is water under the bridge, is that permanent, or will it just fester for a couple of months and then come up again?

If you all can really work it out and truly forget about it, I personally don't see why their can't be room for all of your ideas to grow in this one site. It's easy and convenient for everyone to come to one place to express [B]ALL[/B] of their ideas.

If you can't truly work it out, or if the damage is too much for you all to have a good working relationship [B]FOR THE FORSEEABLE[/B] future, then I say it is time to go your separate ways and start a second good site. There can be benefit two good websites.

The content of a website is only going to be as good as those who run the site allow it to be. If you can't all agree on that, then the site could begin to deteriorate.

This is just the two cents of someone who has lurked here for quite a while, so take it for what it's worth.

I guess they're going to keep this charade up for now so I'll just point out why this is obviously a joke. Based on the (admittedly sparce) information from the mods their disagreements they have seem totally ridiculous. All of the things that this "new" site would supposedly have seem like good ideas to me and probably 98% of the other people. I have been around long enough to "know" what kind of guy Matty is and does anyone think Matty would want this site to be the "Sports Center"? No. That's not what it is now and he's not going to turn an online discussion community into a bunch of articles and rumors. Guys this is a joke that has probably gone on too long now. What's the over-under on when they let the cat out of the bag?
