Damn, almost a sweet catch by Austin. Is it me or is Beck inaccurate?
Well, it's not Jason Campbell inaccurate. |
Williams showed a little power and can pass block. They'll want the latter.
I wouldn't be suprised if they kept Parker at this point...I've seen very little to merit a change...except Parker needs to work on blocking |
Re: Skins vs. Cards, Pre-Season week 4 Gameday thread
Damn, I wanted Albert to get another series since he is so out of shape...

Re: Skins vs. Cards, Pre-Season week 4 Gameday thread
I like when even our offensive guys are going for the strips on ST, turnovers, etc

AH proved today he can go a whole game, that's a good thing. I think DT made the team solely on his returns Banks missed the team due to his fumbles Austin makes it solely on the numbers. And if a good receiver is cut on another team we will pick him up
I heard someone talking about TJ Housh getting cut by Seattle. If we can get him cheap, he'd be a nice addition. |
Re: Skins vs. Cards, Pre-Season week 4 Gameday thread
Awesome. Muffed punt and then he coughed it up again later.

Re: Skins vs. Cards, Pre-Season week 4 Gameday thread
Banks was thrown back about 6 yards after his progress was stopped. lol

Mr. Pineapple did a fine job tossing INTs in the red zone. |

Beck has obvious footwork needs

I am not convinced we will be able to stop Witten at all but I think we have a good shot if McNabb plays. |

I don't know man.. Parker is great when nobody is in his way, otherwise he's very average |
Re: Skins vs. Cards, Pre-Season week 4 Gameday thread
I hope they keep the press away from Albert. I don't want to hear any b.s. the week before the season starts.
|
Shanahan will focus on penalties in his presser, that was really sloppy by a few players

Parker still playing like it's 2005 when he has clearly aged and needs to be less cute. |

Oh you know they are going to bait him. If not, Jason LaCanfora will make some shit up, and pass it to his butt buddy Florio. |

I agree with that...but Torrain wasn't good with open gaps tonight...and Williams is flat out average at best. We are talking the #3 RB after all....kinda like Rock..Parker is every bit as good as Rock. My question are WR's...did Austin do enough? He may make the team since Kelly is on IR. He really shouldn't make any pro squad...but he may for the skins. I see no reason for us to carry 6 WR's especially since all but one are average at best anyways. Heck...our TE's are better recievers than ALL but Moss....thats not good |

I hope they put dozens of microphones(I was gonna say mikes but decided that might sound wrong :D) in front of him and he says the right thing. Keeping him away will only breed speculation. |

Heck...our TE's are better recievers than ALL but Moss....thats not good
Rock could play special teams. Parker? Yeah right....#3RB is usually a special teamer along with being an RB. All three of the WRs that showed some good things are questionable in some respects, and don't even bother with Shay Hodge, as he stunk it up. Banks has issues with holding onto the ball for various reasons, DT is inconsistent, and Austin is sometimes on, sometimes off.. |
Re: Skins vs. Cards, Pre-Season week 4 Gameday thread
Now that the pre-season is over...what are your concerns?
Mine are 1. WR's still a problem 2. Running game weaker than I thought it would be 3. Running defense way worse than I thought it would be 4. Haynesworth looks weak 5. We may have found a decent WR in Armstrong 6. Without Shanny and McNabb, this team is no better than last year...except arguably the oline's pass blocking....the defense is far worse, due to the 3-4 transition, andre carter and orakpo and other situational pass rushers have been neutralized since they are no longer on the line where then excel. This is a 6-10 team...but I will be an optimist and go with 7-9. What do you think? |

I mean, these guys are catching passes from Grossman, Bartel, and Beck. Just saying. |

I think we have a good top 3 in Armstrong, Galloway, and Moss, and McNabb has made the likes of Todd Pinkston, James Thrash look decent, so yeah they would likely look better. Some actual gameplanning from the younger Shanahan would really help as well. |

I would have liked to see McNabb play against the Jets, get him more real time reps in a game situation 3. Our d-line outside of AH are not pushing blockers (see Bills game) 4. Questionable covering skills from OLBs 5. Not thrilled with the RBs behind CP 6. We still not have a good covering Safety (we have a bunch of SSs) |
huh?...when?
I saw him catch a single pass in the middle of soft zone coverage last week...otherwise, he's been invisible
NFL.com say 3 catches 29 yards for the preseason....for a #2 receiver? cmon...that is horrid |

If course McNabb has every defensive coordinators respect in the NFL. No one respects Bartel & Beck probably minimum respect if any for Grossman. Look at it this way they didn't respect JC so they stacked the box and made him make plays. Totally different story with McNabb if you give D-Mac one on one coverage with Moss, Banks Armstrong & Austin on the outside they will blow by defenders all day with their speed. Bombs all over Fed-Ex Field if that happens. |
