Thomas is better , playing well on special teams .....Thanks for letting us get him.
He occupies a roster spot and does nothing but sometimes recover muffed punts. Good luck with that.
I much rather lose in the championship game then have the 6th pick in the draft.
AMEN to this!!!

6th pick in the draft means - - measurably - - that only 5 teams in the league sucked more than you did.

I guess when that is your team's status, you have to find some kind of solace somewhere...

I'm happy for Devin Thomas. Pretty cool for a guy who just completely could not do anything we needed him for to go elsewhere and be a playoff "hero" if you want to call him that.

The Giants have got to stop putting him on offense though, but it's tough when you only have three NFL receivers on your roster.
Agreed. Giants would have lost if the ref's would got that right
.......and the 49's would have lost if the refs got Davis stepping out of bounds right but it is ,what it is......no need to cry.

people get so caught up in it, if the Redskins won the super bowl this year or next or whatever, my personally life doesn't change. Unless you were gambling on the game what does matter let it go. Plus if you are niners fan you should be pretty happy to just be there this year considering what their team has been in the recent past.

Another even sadder stat is that domestic violence goes up after NFL games.

I think last week people were harrassing Jermichael Finley's wife online. His wife, for crying out loud. It's pathetic enough that people make death threats against the players but then to bring other family members into it is beyond disgraceful

On another note...Vince Wilfork, who's probably weighs 330lbs, played 67 of 70 defensive plays. Not only that but he abused Matt Birk all day long. Did he get Hayneswoth money? Cause that's a guy who most certainly deserves it.

Also...is Vernon Davis ever going to grow the f*%k up? I actually thought he got it until yesterday, when that fool made it all about him. Two 15 yarders in a game of that importance is unacceptable!!!!!!!!! Mike Singleatary was dead on. Can't win with losers like him.

If this is what losers do in the postseason, bring it!

10-catch, 292-yard, four-touchdown postseason

I think he is a very emotional guy and with maturity may get better.

Also, not to condone what Davis did, but the refs were too hands off on that altercation (that led Davis to jump up on the Giants' player). One of the 49ers almost got his head ripped off and the refs did nothing and just stood there watching.

While penalties like that can cost you a game, Davis penalty had nothing to do with the 49ers losing.

Nothing wrong with emotion. But what he did was stupid. When you score do you have to jump up on what looked like a stand that held a camera, fold your arms and basically say..."Look at me, I did all by myself!" I can't stand that crap! How about celebrating with the linemen who blocked so the QB had time to get your ass the ball. Can't stand Vernon Davis. Once a punk always a punk.

I've seen that movie, it's pretty great. I've often wondered what I or someone else would do if we were in Oswalt's position. If it were me I'd probably sue the athlete and press charges, I wouldn't want a prick like that playing for the Skins anyways, and on top of that I'd want him to pay for any and all damages occured, i.e. hospital bills, pay for wages lost, etc.

Big Fan is great and should be mandatory watching for all Warpath members. We all have a little "Big Fan" in us, gotta keep things in perspective.

The movie is a true story based on Giantone's life ;), with a stellar performance by Michael Rapaport as Philadelphia Phil.

I'd beat his ass, then prosecute. I've accepted that fact that there are many asshole players out there (NBA/NFL/MLB/MLS/NHL/etc) and are human like everybody else. Which is primarily the reason I never put them up on pedestals like many fans do. I don't want their autograph, I don't care if they are going to attend this club I'm visiting, I don't even care if they are sitting next to me in a restaurant. I just want them to produce come game day and act like non-retarded civilians on the outside.

Imo, booze and anger...are two goons always trying to murder...or at least stun Lady Reason so they can get their facetime. For only a temporary moment, the fan turns into the raging fan, and the raging fan's moral compass is going just a bit haywire until he becomes just a fan again.

Totally gonna name drop here, but my mother gave me a football autographed solely by London Fletcher for x-mas (as well as a photo of him + her to prove it) and you can believe me when I say that football and picture will be one of the treasured Redskins-related artifacts for the rest of my natural born life. London Fletcher embodies everything about what a role model should be, and I have no problem giving him the props he deserves for that.

As far as the whole "players of questionable intelligence" thing goes, I wouldn't put any player on a pedestal that didn't deserve it. I'm sure there's a dickhead or two on the Redskins right now, and if I knew who they were I'd probably pull a SmootSmack come gametime and root for the plays they make, but feel a pang of guilt on the inside for rooting for an asshat.

Good thing the league willingly acknowledges that and takes maximum preventative measures to keep that from happening during games, instead of massively promoting it as it is a key source of income.

Speaking of fans, I'm not sure if I would ever hit that "crazy" fan stage in my life. I have seen some fans do things that I would never ever even contemplate. Greeting the Redskins, at Redskins park, when they roll out on the team bus or greet them when they arrive home from away games at Redskins park. I know fans right now that do that every single away game. They end up spending about 3 hours (drive to and there and 45 mins waiting) just to wave at the players on the bus driving past them. Now, to each their own really, but I simply have too many other things going on in my life to ever dedicate myself like that to the Redskins.
