Oh man I thought AZ won that game, but the refs gave it to Pittsburgh. On that turnover that was run back for a TD there was at least one totally obvious clip right around the ball that didn't get called. The Steelers may still have scored, but nothing is for sure. |
Re: Around the NFL...Week 4 Style
That idiot Barden cost his team the game with that moronic PI he did.
I don't think so. Asomugha was in perfect position to make that pick. Barden had to play DB to prevent the pick. Take the penalty and give the offense another shot. Or, let Asomugha intercept and game over right there. Barden did what he needed to do. I was shocked that Eli went deep on the next play instead of trying to give Tynes just 5 or 10 yards for an easier kick. 5 more yards and he makes that FG. |
Your calling that PI iffy? Barden wrapped his arm around Nnamdi's head and wrestled him to the ground. Although had he not interfered, Nnamdi would have had the pick since he was in a better position.
I need Brandon Marshall to have 150 yards receiving and a TD for fantasy football. That would make me :).

Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk
You call a guy with a 44-40 record excellent? The only reason the Cards even made the playoffs those years is because they play in the sucky NFC West. Put that same team in the NFC East or even the NFC South during those years and they finish last or next to last. That talent he had on that team, was already assembled prior to his arrival. It's not like he went out and built this team from scratch. |

Whisenhunt is a good coach but he's not great by any means. I do like what he's doing there though.
Wow, Watch the body language of 61 and 69 from 12s to 14s on that clip. I agree that that is really odd. No enthusiasm for Cam at all, and one looked like he was going to say congrats but decided not to when he started doing that dance/skip thing.
I've no strong feelings for or against Newton; but is there still a rule in the NFL that prohibit team demonstrations in the endzone? Aka the old anti-"Fun Bunch" rule? That would explain teammates shunning him as he "performs".

He's gonna be alright. He didn't take any heat after his team lost games last year because it was year one, no one expected wins and he was playing above rookie level. Eventually, if they keep losing, he'll get some blame even if he plays well and he'll tighten up his attitude. I'll bet he gets his demeanor right by the second half and they win a bunch of games. |
and the only reason the steelers won the super bowl was because they play in the sucky nfl, since they barely got past the cards. that's also why the cardinals won 3 playoff games to get to the super bowl
If memory serves me, the Steelers squeaked into the playoffs that year and managed to put together 3 nice games in a row. There is a lot of LUCK involved in winning a Super Bowl. Any coach will tell you this. (even ones that have won it) The thing about NFL playoffs and the Super Bowl is that the best team doesn't always win. It's the same with NCAA basketball. How often does the #1 ranked team after the season win the NCAA tournament? Not very often. How often does the best team in the NFL win the Super Bowl? Not very often. I know many of you can't grasp this concept, but it's the reality of it. A team that goes 16-0 is by in large a better team than one that walks into the playoffs at 9-7. Does this mean the better team is going to win? Nope. That's the beauty of it. It's a one game elimination and if the stars align, and the ball bounces your way, chances are you may end up winning that game. AGAIN, don't bother responding about how the best team does win the super bowl..and blah..blah...blah. Yeah, been down that road, heard it. Still doesn't make it true. What it does make them is Super Bowl champions. As a side note, the only professional sport you'll see the better team win it's championships more often than not are the NBA, MLB, and NHL. Anytime were you have a best out of X games type of series, the chances are in favor of the better team winning out more often than not. |
Re: Around the NFL...Week 4 Style
i'd rather be a super bowl champion than be on the best team

Re: Around the NFL...Week 4 Style
^ lol. That dude is a perfect fit on the Jets. Him and Cromartie sit around and talk about how not to tackle.
The personalities on that team is f*ckin amazing. Santonio, Bart Scott, Cromartie, Landry, Tebow, Revis...and Rex |
Re: Around the NFL...Week 4 Style
there was another play where he blew up one of his own guys in the pursuit of the almighty tackle. like a puppy running around on slick hardwood floors

I think anybody would. That's a given and the ultimate end goal. The fact that the 12th best team in the NFL can win the championship is what makes it so fun and the league so amazing. |

I didnt call him anything? I was asking you if you were LOL'ing at him being underrated, or excellent. Obviously you were LOL'ing at him being excellent. They have won 11 of their last 13 games with HIS team though. |

That is exactly what he is trying to do. Line up a big hit instead of tackling the damn dude. Ive said it once and Ill say it again - greedy, me-first, Sean Taylor wanna be. |
Landry is what he is, no sense in hating on him still. Honestly I'll say he's better than Williams and REED D.

Re: Around the NFL...Week 4 Style
Dez Bryant, still overrated, never done a damn thing in the league.
