I think mike would be just fine if he got to choose the starting quarterback |

And he's the only one remotely qualified for the job. Everyone else is a gamble with an unproven and/or negative track record at the nfl level. |

[quote=GTripp0012;1051079]Won 11 games in 2010 and 2011.

But that Snyder wouldn't let him. Shanahan wisely has seen enough of rg3 to know he doesn't deserve to be the unquestioned starter. If I had to choose between Shanahan and rg3, I'd choose the coach. He inherited a mess from zorn and Cerrato and then got stuck with 36MM in cap penalties that limited his ability to improve the team. Rg3 has trade value. I'd trade him and roll with cousins and see what Shanahan can do with a full compliment of draft picks and a ton of cap space to finally build the team he wants. |

Two similarities: consistent player development and winning football teams. |

I wouldn't mind seeing a coaching staff comprised of Whisenhunt, Bowles and Grimm.

I truly find it astonishing that there is anyone left defending Shanahan. I try to find something he does well... I cannot.

I wouldn't listen to anything that Schefter has to say about Shanahan. The first bold is just moronic and the second bold is Shanahan's fault and really has little to nothing to do with Zorn. Not to mention the fact that the roster has been COMPLETELY turned over in the FOUR years that Shanahan has been coach. |

Why would we bring him back when we dont even have a coach yet? |
Coach Bounty would be my pick, that would be a start. No ideas as to his supporting cast of coaches and assistants.

I think Shanahan stays ,I think everyone stays in place .I just think DS is more evolved in this then some of you think .Sometimes the best reaction is none at all .

All this Shanahan hate is out of control. Its so easy to forget that he is the one who cleaned up all the mess and dysfunction Cerrato and Snyder created. Fletcher, whos retiring, publically lobbied for Shanahan to stay, and said 95% of the players on the team wanted him to come back. If Shanahan were a bad coach, or the team felt that HE was responsible for the current messy situation, they wouldnt be saying that. Ultimately, theres a pissing match going on between the coach and a diva QB. Fletchers comments indicate the players Side with their coach, not the Diva.... yet, so many of you want to rally behind the Diva - the source of the teams problems - and throw the coach away? Explain that to me please. Also explain this to me - if RG3 can do this to Shanahan, a well respected, established Head Coach... how on earth do you think things will be better with a college coach in his first NFL gig? Or a coordinator in his first HC role? Change isnt always good people. |

Maybe we could trade Coughlin for Shamny at midfield after the handshake.

Shannhan has had the worse Redskins defense ever and this year topped it off with the worse special teams ever period.(according to Darren Sharper on NFL network) |

The mess he cleaned up? How about the mess he's created?
We're staring down 3 and effing 13 and his hands are clean and it's all on the "diva" QB? WTF?! |
