Re: Redskins v. Falcons Gameday Thread
Garcon had a sh*t game, he is one of my favorites but 4 drops on 4 catachable balls, one drop for a TD the other for an interview.
|
Re: Redskins v. Falcons Gameday Thread
Didn't have to come down to OT.
Had plenty of chances to win the game Offense couldn't make plays....still believe J and McVay haven't truely embraced a run identity Kyle on the other hand leaned on the run and stuck with 1 guy Still believe the offense is sub-optimal |
Re: Redskins v. Falcons Gameday Thread
Cousins will learn one of these days.....or NOT! Snatched Defeat from the Jaws of Victory
Nothing new...... |

Yeah wash this game away and look to a jets team that is a surprise as well but can't score so it's another def game
|

Lol. Weirdest response I've ever got on here. |
Re: Redskins v. Falcons Gameday Thread
Tough loss, but proud they came back with 24 seconds left. Sad it had to end this way, but this team is showing resilience and growing. A great job by our patched up secondary, like I said before Breeland is our best CB, heck of a game.

Re: Redskins v. Falcons Gameday Thread
Kirk goes half the field in 20 seconds to lead us into OT, Grant literally fell down on the INT, yet we're blaming Kirk?
Maybe I'm watching a different game |
Re: Redskins v. Falcons Gameday Thread
cousins made the right throw, off target but to the guy with single coverage.
unfortunately it was fucking grant.., if you look at all of kirk's ints, I'd be willing to bet at least half of them had fucking grant involved in some way. |
Re: Redskins v. Falcons Gameday Thread
Looks like Brad Pitt, plays like Brad Shitt. Looks like Robert Redford , plays like Robert Redturd. I feel bad for rest of the team. Any chance we can suit up Joey Theismann next week?
|
Re: Redskins v. Falcons Gameday Thread
Did not get to see the game but I'm watching the replay and doesn't look like cousin's fault at all, looks like Grant slipped and fell down that's why the ball was intercepted

Should've been playing Ross over Grant. Dude's just better than him.

Re: Redskins v. Falcons Gameday Thread
Cooley said Grant fell on a timing route.
Sucks to lose but still team showed a lot today. Sent from my S6 Edge |

Maybe I'm watching a different game
Grant fell down trying to readjust to the throw being nowhere near where he thought it was going to be. The ball was not thrown to where the receiver was. Either Grant ran the wrong route or Cousins read it wrong; either way it's too early to know; we're going to have to hear how it is explained in the post game. |
Re: Redskins v. Falcons Gameday Thread
Atlanta has beat us like 5 times in a row now or something.

Re: Redskins v. Falcons Gameday Thread
Hope they don't even think of franchising that fool they call a QB. Smh
|
Re: Redskins v. Falcons Gameday Thread
One thing I will go back to, that WR screen on 3rd and goal when we had run that play all game, gotta at least try to throw into the end zone
|
Re: Redskins v. Falcons Gameday Thread
Did anybody hear Joe Bucks comments? Cousins just can't shake the turnovers. He has no idea what he is talking about. Can't wait to hear Rodney Harrison's comments tonight.
|
Re: Redskins v. Falcons Gameday Thread
In Italy so didn't see the game. Hopkins missed a fg. How long? Would that have made the difference and prevented OT? Very sad to see the game end this way. Kirk a hero last week, and pick 6 in OT the next. Ugh. Even if it was Grant's fault. Ugh. Chances to beat Miami and now Atlanta. Good teams win those kinds of games and we just aren't there yet.

All I'm seeing is a comeback breaking slightly towards the sideline, and a ball thrown a little high, but at Grant's outside shoulder. (if standing) |

That's saying something because there have been some seriously stupid ones |
Re: Redskins v. Falcons Gameday Thread
The game was lost in two areas.
1. Playing that horseshit prevent defense on Atlanta's go ahead drive. I put that on Barry. You can't play that bullshit defense in the NFL against a high powered offense. 2. The coaches for calling that wr screen that got blown up. Throw the fucking ball to Crodwer in the end zone. Just playing not to fucking lose there. |
All I'm seeing is a comeback breaking slightly towards the sideline, and a ball thrown a little high, but at Grant's outside shoulder. (if standing)
I don't know. It's really hard to get an idea of how high exactly the throw was. If it was at the right height, it was still behind Grant. A good throw would have put that ball into his gut, and there's no way that's where that ball was going. If Grant didn't slip, I can still see that ball being intercepted, perhaps off of Grant's fingertips. If Grant was supposed to break to the sideline, the throw would have been perfect. Again, it may have been Grant's route running or it may have been a poorly thrown ball. The replay isn't clear enough. Regardless, I don't really give a shit. This game, while painful to lose, was a major step forward for this football team. Couldn't get the ground game going, QB was off on his throws, a number of bounces went against us, it was on the road against an undefeated team, and we took the game into OT. A few more games like this and I might not be so ashamed about being a Redskins fan. |
