Also, thanks to the fucking shitty Redskins, I almost lost my opening fantasy game. Was cruising going into tonight with my having DeSean Jackson as my last starter and DeAngelo Williams as my opponents starter. Shit has ended 124.26 to 122.74. :cussing:

Based on just this game, assuming we have a pick in every round, what is your positional mock draft.

I'd go with: QB, Center, Defensive End, Nose Tackle, OLB, MLB, RB.

Not gonna lie, I think that was my prediction. I had an extremely concentrated batch of kool-aid. Based on tonight, we won't beat any teams with winning records this year either. Good thing Cowboys are 0-1.

I'm a little concerned about Jones. Yeah the Steelers defense is good, but how many total yards did he have this game? It couldn't of been more than 30. That's inexcusable. You can't win games having less than 50 yards rushing. Come on man.

I love the criticism on JUST defense, when our offense mustered 9 points in 3 quarters.

Cousins played like crap, we have no running game, and our offensive line probably had more penalty yards than our offense had yards.

Licht is damaged goods. Horrible game. We have no d line. At all. Williams had a head of steam by the time he got to LBs because the d line was totally absent.

Kirk was bad tonight he has some serious rust and I hope that's all it is. Last yr he started slow too so we'll see. Next week will be an easier opponent and if we lose to Dallas at home we are in trouble.

8-8 here we come. What concerns me most is how bad Cousins looked. Sure, we will beat some crappy teams, but be has to prove he can beat a good team. The second thing that was most glaring was our lack of adjustment to the Steelers zone scheme. In my opinion, the coaches shoulder the blame for this loss. Not sure what it is about Gruden, I know he is a bright offensive mind but it doesn't mean he is a good head coach. You didn't see Steeler players committing the dumb penalties we were, they know Tomlin ain't with that. Being a head coach is about so much more than X's and O's.

Unfortunately I am married to a Steeler fan and Pittsburgh native :) As we were watching she says, " Why does your coach look like he is lost?" "Your team looks like a bunch of sons playing their fathers"..lol She knows nothing about football, but I think she got this one right...

Pittsburgh likely will beat the whole nfc east. So as far as the season goes it is likely not a big deal but simply puts on tape how far we still have to go.

After tonight, there is no arguement I can muster....

I'm shocked how unprepared and how poorly executed that was...I'm shocked folks. About a poor offensive scheme and game plan I can remember. From the first snap it didn't look right.

Yeah, you aren't going to get 7 good starters, but if I was the GM that would be my preference on positional picks.

I just want a Franchise QB. Ughhh. Really, we've never really had one even going back to the 80'/early 90's when they were winning. We're freaking due!

Against another good team, Cousins played like crap. Turned it over, misses open guys, etc. It's starting to become a trend.

So far, Scott is looking like a genius for only franchising Cousins this year, and not giving long term deal.

I'm gonna start watching Sudfeld highlights and tricking myself into believing he is definitely the guy if Cousins keeps playing like that against good teams.

I have to call out SM a bit in not addressing the interior defensive line. A big weakness last season, and we got a whole bunch of scrubs in the offseason.

Our receiving corp is being wasted with no running game to keep defenses honest.
Our defensive backfield is being wasted with no pash rush to keep offenses honest.

The world is not ending tomorrow. We do not need a new QB. We knew going into the game we needed D-Line help and a Center. We also knew we would struggle running the ball against their front 7.

Our MLB are fine if the D-Line does their job.

What is frustrating is the penalties. I have never seen a team that get so many in bunches. 1-10 holding penalty, 1-20 false start, 1-25 draw play for 7 yards.

It was a game of inches. It RK falls on the ball we have our second turnover, one inch and Breeland breaks up the TD on 4th down, and one more second and it's a fumble. We win big, it was not our night and the sun will come up tomorrow and we will be one game out of first place.

Rolling my eyes at most of the comments.
This game is on McCloughhan.
And if Gruden cant make better adjustments in the future more games will be.
We all talked about the lack of running backs/running back depth.
We all talked about the interior D'Line lacking real starters.
We were right....we saw it tonight.

Agree. So far he:
1) Passed up on Leonard Williams to get Scherff, which seems like the wrong move at least right now. Williams could have sealed a big hole in the D and Scherff hasn't shown All-Pro talent yet at guard.

2) Passed up on a bunch of Dline talent in draft again this year for WR, hybrid LB, 3rd CB. This may work out but seemed to have hurt us so far.

3) Neglected to sign any big FA on Dline.


Love Scotty McC, but our lack of Dline is what crippled us this game, and will kill us all year. to have a 34yo 2nd string RB run for >140 yards is embarassing.
