Re: Beat the snot out of Carolina game thread
It's not over and we probably still make the playoffs..but this is shit. Joe should not be employed after this.

Re: Beat the snot out of Carolina game thread
Take ur helmet off Kirk. The season is over buddy. If you were smart you would get the hell outta DC and go find a winning franchise to play for.

Re: Beat the snot out of Carolina game thread
Correction we need the Vikes to win this weekend
Saints too. |
Re: Beat the snot out of Carolina game thread
Look, our defense sucks. We need a minimum of 7 new starters. The offense can't ever play even mediocre and have a chance to win. And you're not playing 16 great offensive games so until our defense can pick up the slack more than maybe once a year we're going to have a hard time winning 10+ games.

Re: Beat the snot out of Carolina game thread
I miss the days when our Offense sucked bug our defense kept us in games.

Beat the snot out of Carolina game thread
You sound like me. I like it. We can't match other physical teams. They lined up ready to ruin our season as they should and we lined up face down ass up and took it. They play defense like I wish we could
Lol. Im letting it all hang out tonight. But honestly hAve been wondering all year did we turn a corner? Or are we the same? Are we the team who whooped GB? Or are we the team who lost to Arizona, Pitt? Not that pitt is bad but we got smoked at home. After tonight when reality smacks you in the face I know exactly who we are. We have countless holes on the defense and zero run game. We have no kicker. We have no coordinators. Our rz offense is straight trash. McVay is not ready yet. Not even close. We may not even have a HC. He should be our quarterbacks coach. Lol. We are not making the playoffs and to tell you the truth im not sold on Scot to make this right. |
Re: Beat the snot out of Carolina game thread

Re: Beat the snot out of Carolina game thread
Lesson learned last Friday. My basketball team lost and I was all pissed off then I found out my grandpa died. Puts things in perspective.
Winning is awesome and losing sucks but in the grand scheme it's unimportant. Florida State won a title a few years ago and it was oh so sweet but I still had to go to work the next day. Life didn't get way better. And it won't be way worse tomorrow. Carolina just has our number. Hope everyone has a blessed Christmas. God bless you and your families. |

I'm glad I missed the game and didn't ask my pops to record it. I only saw a few minutes. Ignorance is bliss. One day we'll have a defense that pounds teams into submission. That's what I long to see. Sheer defensive domination. That's how you win regularly. Or have Tom Brady. |
Re: Beat the snot out of Carolina game thread
We need to win out and we need GB and TB to lose one each. They both have two tough games. Though we have no shot of making noise in the playoffs and a couple weeks ago I thought we could.

Re: Beat the snot out of Carolina game thread
It is time to blow up this team and start over. There will be plenty of cap space. And they must sign a few good free agents on defense. Then add a few more draft picks....and get
DL OLB CB S ....G/C/T that can run block. TE, RB WR too. Just add 10-15 new players. And coaches then they will be decent. |

And we didn't even have our #1 pick this year. He's gonna be a good one. Just go to YouTube. The defense just isn't there yet. But I think SM knows where we're at and we will have a lot of turnover on D next year. We have extra picks and a good salary cap situation. I just hope we add lots of speed. We're like old foggiest out there right now. Our defensive identity is molasses. We have a chance to really load up going into next year. Note - typing mid flight on a brand new phone is not easy. |

GOod news is, Djax pushed me over the top for a win. :) I turned the game off late 3rd since I was tired of watching that shit show of an offense. |

I think the Saints got TB's number, GB on the other hand yeah the Vikes need to steal one like Carolina did here. |

1 amazing off season is equal to 2 good ones. I'm you tonight and you're me. Where's that punch optimism lol? Let's dare to be amazing. I also think Breeland comes back strong next year. That's like getting another pick back again. I don't want to play Carolina next year though. Please don't finish in the spot in your division. |

Well GB has to go into Detroit in last week. Green Bay already beat them once. If GB goes in there at 9-6 and Detroit is 10-5 than Detroit would have to beat them for the division. Tampa is at Saints, than vs Carolina. I can see TB dropping one and finishing 9-7. GB 9-7. Skins 9-6-1. |
Re: Beat the snot out of Carolina game thread
I keep thinking back to the Skins letting Alfred Morris leave town. We could have resigned him, instead the skins went with an unproved Matt Jones who is buried on the bench. Now Fat Rob is the guy who works his ass off, but does not have the talent of an ALMO.
Not sure if I really have a point just frustrated overall. |
Re: Beat the snot out of Carolina game thread
I don't think Almo makes a huge difference at all. He had already lost his mojo before he left imo.

Sorry for your loss
Exactly, at the end of the day this is just a hobby. As soon as the game ended I thought "well this is mildly depressing. At least The new Star Wars movie is just a year away now. And there's a good chance well get a new trailer in March." :) |

I used to be a big, fantasy football guy. I noticed late last season that my passion for it was dwindling. I played this year out of habit. I barely did much to my roster throughout the entire season, and find myself in next week's championship game, per my league. It'll be my swan song to go out on top. LOL I may eventually have a change of heart, but I think this is probably my last season participating in fantasy football. |

Sorry for your loss
I've long moved past the days where I'd be livid or bothered for days on end after a Redskins loss. It's been years! You get older and, hopefully, more mature and other things in life is more part of your focus (kids, wife/girlfriend, job, other activities, etc.). Then, this stuff called sports isn't a huge deal when your team loses. Unfortunately, there are still older folks who'll get seriously bent out of shape when their team loses. Once, you reach a certain age, then this stuff shouldn't create emotional shifts. Those type of people, IMO, have some type of shortcoming(s) in their life and vicariously live through sports for some type of gratification. I was irked throughout the game. I thought about it for a minute or two, once it was over, then moved on. I love to see the Redskins win, and would love to get back to the days of Gibbs I. I hate losing. But, these loses doesn't sting as bad, as in years past due to where I'm currently at in my life. I can say, I'm glad those days are in the past. |
Re: Beat the snot out of Carolina game thread
Bottomline, after two full offseasons and drafts we have about three keepers that he was responsible for. Crowder, Norman, scherff. Am I forgetting someone worth keeping that he is responsible for? And dont tell me give Smith time. That dude is a straight bust. He doesn't even show glimpses.
We needed a DT this year and we got Doctson, a guy who might very well be a bust when it is all said and done. His going for football guys spiel is moronic. Who cares if they are football guys. Hell I am a football guy, but that doesn't mean I can play S for the Washington Redskins!!!!!!!!! Get the best available at the position. This draft was a waste if Cravens can't stay healthy. If Ionnidas develops along with Fuller the draft might end up half decent, but right now it was overhyped. Also Norman's stock has gone down a bit, not necessarily of his own doing either. One guy can't be expected to cover an entire field because his fellow secondary mates suck ass. We have so many holes to fill on the defense still that Scott can draft virtually any position on defense and look like a winner. I am not about to bail on Scott, but I am not sure he is the next Bobby Beathred either. |

He would have a 1,000 yds if he played for Dallas. *lets drop the Fat Rob nickname... he deserves better |
