the same as it was for Romo, "cant win big games" which I think is a joke
It took Peyton 8 years to finally win a big game when it mattered, that argument sucks. |
Re: Cousins Saga 4.0. Is he done in DC?
People still think Peyton didn’t win “enough” big games. It’s the ultimate team game except when it comes to evaluating QBs for some reason.

Re: Cousins Saga 4.0. Is he done in DC?
I literally go back and forth on resigning him (based on how much he'll get). I think I'm just going to let the chips fall where they may and roll with it. I can see arguments to both sides.

Either scenario 1 or 3, preferably 1.

I'd take Baker or Allen if KC walks. |

He's got an arrogant attitude but he's a guy that nobody wanted, he has that chip on his shoulder that u want in a QB. |

yea i do think that upon entering the league theres a good chance this gets toned down and the kid gets a bit humbled. You would hope for his and his careers' sake |
Re: Cousins Saga 4.0. Is he done in DC?
Well I wouldn't say he played great last year. If that was the case we would've made the playoffs. But good to very good sure. He was great against the Packers.
The Skins didn't make the playoff last year because the defense was terrible not because of KC. |

team layed an egg in a win and in situation... kinda hard to shake that one off for me. And of course, the game ended on a cousins INT sadly. |
Re: Cousins Saga 4.0. Is he done in DC?
Kirk was awful in that Giants game, that was not on the D.

Bogus! If there's truth to this, it's probably coming from a receiver in which we all know got benched for being horrible, and that's Terrell Pryor. |

None of our WRs are even worthy of having their opinions considered.

I could also see a scenario where Andy Dalton's name comes up if they don't get a deal done sooner than later. He knows the system well and is a solid QB

Ryan Grant is top 10 in catches while in traffic per PFF, I saw that little post of their's the other day. I will say he's a solid number 2 or 3 |

I agree, but don't think it's worth getting too upset over it because literally no-one else has confirmed the report. |

Oh god no! Grant can't separate from DBs that's why all his catches are in traffic. He has a TOP 5 QB but Grant isn't in the top 50 in any meaningful receiving categories. This guy doesn't make the practice sqaud with Pittsburg or Atlanta. |

Smells like BS
You know, I did a little research on the whole Kirk Cousins situation and what Marshall Faulk and Steve Smith Sr. were saying about Kirk Cousins. Was it Faulk or Smith who said he didn't see Kirk go over and comfort Crowder on the sideline and as a result faulted his leadership? I would love to see a clip of any decent QB in the NFL "comforting" a professional receiver after a a performance like Crowder had. It would be much easier to find clips of NFL QBs chewing their ass. |

Re: Cousins Saga 4.0. Is he done in DC?
After seeing all of our holes, idk if we shouldn't just let go, sign other players that can help and draft a QB (Baker) in the 1St. I love KC and would take him back but not for 28 million

Time to start over I guess. Why can't I just settle down with a nice competent team. Why do I always go for the crazies?

Sent from my SAMSUNG-SM-G920A using Tapatalk
The guy has a losing record as a starter and doesn't really play like he wants to stay. I mean he is stinking up the joint as of late, when he should be playing lights out to get paid. I thought of him as a nice backup to RG III, nothing more when we drafted him. He was a good QB at MSU, but nothing really spectacular, as most MSU QBs end up being serviceable backups in the NFL. We tricked ourselves thinking he was more than what he was. He did very well last year for a stretch and the media got on the bandwagon into this season. They were all saying pay the man like 3 weeks ago. I wouldn't pay him $20 million, much less $25 million now. Another thing, the QB/WR relationship is purely symbiotic. A good QB will only do well with a good WR corp and vice versa. An elite or very good QB can only make a really good WR look better. Our WR corp is a god damn joke. Even if Kirk was playing good and the losses and failures on the offense were mostly on the WR corp, it would be useless to pay all that $$$$$$ if the guy just doesn't have the tools to work with, but alas I don't think Kirk is all that, so just cut the cord and start over. Our roster sucks period!!!!!!!! |
Re: Cousins Saga 4.0. Is he done in DC?
I now fully expect to see KC go somewhere else no matter what offer the Skins make. I don't think he wants to be with a dysfunctional organization like the Skins anymore.

I agree and its a legitimate reason to not be here. I do wonder if we tag cousins again, would San Fran be willing to trade Cousins for Jimmy G straight up? Id take that trade....call Josh McDaniels to see if he would be interested in HC job and fire Gruden. |
Re: Cousins Saga 4.0. Is he done in DC?
I love Kirk, best QB we've had since Theisman IMO but I don't see him here anymore. If I'm the Vikings or Dolphins I'm paying him 30M to come.
