How much does it hurt everyone to watch what McVay is doing with the Rams knowing he could have been ours? We’re Like the Browns with Bellichek.

Yes. Maurice Harris needs to be our #1. That man has always balled out when given the chance.

Stupid nickname. Swearinger says they haven't done anything yet, but yet they have a dumbass nickname for themselves. Which one is it? Haven't done anything or so great we get a nickname?

Individually I like our secondary players, as a unit, its a shitshow against good passing teams.

So the NFL has held him down his whole career? If he was as good as AS, he'd be starting for a team by now.

Where’s the guy who kept saying 5-2, yup!......Like I said, and I’ll go quote me posts. Just because we were 5-2 doesn’t mean we don’t have a problem at QB. Alex Smith cannot shoulder the load, and cannot win a shoot out. This is the third one we’ve been in (Colts and Saints the other two), and he can’t sling it. Sometimes our defense will have a bad day, and we need to put points up.

Colt or cousins cant fix - 3/5ths of our line out out. 8 holding penalties and Doctson with 4 drops by himself. Davis lets a ball out of his hands become a pick. This wasn't all on smith. Team played like shit, got injured and shit the bed.

This is why I just can't get excited about this team. I know we have zero chance against a team that can score. Our defense is solid but not elite. Our offense basically depends on a 33 year old rb.

Lol, I love this honesty. This is my favorite post of yours. I'm choosing the refs and everyone from our D that played in SEC.

Payne and Allen were 2 tumbleweeds today. Dunbar wasn't good either. The pick was thrown right to him. Preston Smith, he apparently played, but did he really?

Dix, no comment, he just got here and I'd need All-22 to make inforned opinion.

We should double down on the D and try become elite.

I like the idea of investing in the defense and O line.

It looks like we are going to be wondering through the wilderness for a few years looking for a QB.

In the meantime, being able to keep games close should be a priority.

He doesn’t have Cousins anymore, and Smith cant throw a ball over 5 yards.
Alex is obviously a downgrade from Kirk as a passer but he also doesn't have any weapons at WR, when u have Maurice Harris leading the way that should tell u something.

It comes down to us just not being good on offense, this is as bad as the JC era redskins.
Cousins had the same weapons last year and threw for 4k yards. The sad part is that Alex had his best passing game today and the OL got hurt and D didn’t show up.

This is true but he won’t do shit without WRs.
VD was out go to guy when the game was on the line much like last year.

Harris should replace JD.

I agree with this. Build your best unit into a great unit, then do everything else. Plus defense is and always will be the most important.

No, Cousins had LESS than Alex. Our offensive line was missing everyone most of the year, Reed and Chris Thompson were injured most of the year, and we didn’t have AP.

This is just Alex Smith's first year in the system....he's not really regressing and he's not progressing either....is he a stop gap? Colt McCoy is a veteran backup and nothing more....I would like the Redskins front office to invest a 2nd or 3rd round pick in Buffalo Bulls young QB Tyree Jackson and have him learn under Smith and McCoy.

Kirk is the better passer nobody has said otherwise. Alex is the smarter safer QB. At the end of the day we still need weapons that scare teams, we dont have that.

Disagree, McVay as a coach or any decent QB would bring out their potential, I guarantee Docton or Crowder gets cut they would be picked immediately by someone.

Crowder is a good #3 but hes been hurt all yr. Mcvay has a LOADED and I mean LOADED offense, yes hes a great offensive mind and I miss the guy but lets not act like they are not good at every skill pos. Josh is not a #1 WR, he wasn't with Kirk either, its time to face the facts that he's what he is. Reed isn't the same as he was a couple years ago, VD is old. So its not like Alex has a shit ton of help, he has a good line and a 33 yo RB.

define immediately. Crowder will have many team looking at him. Docton wll find another team but he would be a tier 2 or 3 free agent.

Yeah and the receivers are household names right? Brandon Cooks on his third team, Robert Wood a forgotten man in Buffalo, Cooper Kupp a mid round draft pick and so on. The reason they are producing because of Goff another so call bust under Fisher, are producing because of a creative offense and smart QB who is not afraid or is hesitant. I don’t care what fans say, we have talent at the WR position.

I used to feel this way.
I blamed Kirk for not utilizing his WRs.
KC has the NFL Leading WR in yards right now.

Doctson isn’t a starter in this league but he will be on someone’s roster.

Disagree on Doctson, last few he has been getting better, yes had an early case of the drops but redeemed himself with nice catches including that end zone which was a hell of a catch and throw. I’m on the Doctson bandwagon and don’t give a shit what anybody says about him.

Half way through the season and he doesn’t have 20 rec or 200 yards total.
Mo Harris put up 10 for 124 today.

You can’t have a #1 with damn near no production. Yes he had one nice catch for a TD but that was a fluke and likely his only TD this year.

I'm so fed up with him that I traded him to the Houston Texans for a 2nd round pick on the Madden 19 game....

....and undrafted Mo Harris played his heart out today....

Re: Skins vs Falcons Game Day Thread

It is hard for me to buy in to the ref-skins conspiracy. Here is the NFL penalty tracker for 2018. Through 8 games Washington has had 8 more calls in favor of than against. That is 5 best in the NFL. At home they are tied for third most in beneficiary calls at home (behind Cleveland and Arizona) but are at the bottom in beneficiary calls on the road. Total flags were are middle of the road but it is the net advantage that is most important. The Skins are the beneficiaries of ref calls more often than not halfway through the season.
