Such a ridiculous response. You spend an unhealthy amount of time thinking about him. No matter the subject it's always about Trump to you. And it drags down every political thread. It's beyond frustrating. Obviously you won't care about this, but it's where I stand. And I imagine others do too, but they don't want to say anything, because arguing with you about politics is beyond pointless. |

And my post had nothing to do with Biden either. So you are complaining about something that didn't happen. Who are the sheep loving Trump Republicans here? Chico, me, and Nonniey are the only 3 conservatives that post here now. Nonniey certainly doesn't like Trump. And I don't give a fuck about him and will call him out when needed, and have many many times. Sometimes I think Chico actually loves Trump and other times I think he just likes arguing with you. So at best there is 1 Trump lover here. You're creating a situation that doesn't actually exist here to justify constantly talking about Trump all day every day, even if not relevant to the conversation. You do enough shitting on Chico for the whole planet. He is your surrogate Trump, no one else needs to pitch in. Also, saying you will do something 1st then doing it, doesn't justify it. To add - G1, I like you and enjoy talking to you in every other thread. But when it comes to politics, you're impossible to deal with. And that isn't true with anyone else here, besides you, no matter how much I might disagree with them. |

I'm looking for the trump lovers to admit their wrong doing and jump on his shit like everyone should, chico just doesn't deserve serious discussion others are better then I for engaging him but when it comes to politics and World affairs he is by far the most ignorant of all. You have started or moved three different political discussions but you get upset when others don't see eye to eye with you. I like you and your post's most of the time but go back and look at your Hunter Biden art thread post #27. Guess my point is that you think I'm worse then chico and that only proves my point. |

Hey guys I think both of you should settle down on this one. I enjoy reading both of your posts - G1 I think occasionally brings quality content here that I tend to agree with, and SD I think you are fairly rational for a conservative. G1 if I had one suggestion to make - it would just be to ignore Chico more often because Chico is great at one thing - and that's blurring the line between trolling us and actually convincing us that he would be a fluffer for Trump if the job was open. SD I see you getting worked up over G1 and I just think it's not worth it. Nobody is gonna convince anybody their POV is superior in any way so the sooner you both accept it - the more we can work on things we all agree on - like term limits and convincing Chico to spend more time hitting J's instead of the keyboard.

In this case the amendment is relevant to Covid policy and money. So Mitch is following the science which says most of the countries where these illegals are coming from haven’t vaccinated, are anti-vax, and vax rates are extremely low…so makes sense to keep title 42 up and running to protect against unnecessary outbreaks.
Thanks Mitch for looking out for the health of the country. |

chico and FOX at it again! https://www.yahoo.com/entertainment/fox-news-doctored-clips-obama-164352197.html Fox News Doctored Clips of Obama’s Visit to the White House to Make It Seem Like Biden Was Lost The only problem is that both clips were taken out of context. Biden does look a little confused in the first clip, but it’s only because he’s looking for someone, perhaps Interior Secretary Deb Haaland, whom he brings up onstage to applause shortly after the conservative media cut ends. The second clip ends right before Biden gets Obama’s attention and introduces him to someone. Twitter user @acyn helpfully attached the full clips to the end of the Fox News segments lambasting the edited versions |

Actually I do understand it, he was painted that way by Trump in an effort to try to win, and Fox News and others caught on and are working to perpetuate it. I'm a moderate R and I can't stand Biden's economic policies, but you have to acknowledge that the approach with leading NATO with respect to Ukraine has been masterful. They intentionally release intelligence info on expected Russian moves right before each Russian action takes place. They say Putin will invade, he invades. They say he will attempt to encircle Kyiv, he attempts to encircle Kyiv. They say he will increase missile attacks, he increases missile attacks. They say he will use an indiscriminate bombing campaign, he does just that. That series of releases gains the US immediate credibility with respect to understanding Russia. Which puts Biden in position to lead NATO and unite them. So much so that Germany increases its defense spending, something Trump whined about but couldn't successfully get them to do. You can stand up there and whine and bloviate about things all you want, but making things happen takes strategy, credibility, and leadership. Biden's administration has executed it brilliantly and NATO is looking to the US once again to set a rational, measured yet resolved tone. It's lending to stability in a period where there's increasing instability in Europe. |

I’m actually surprised to hear less saber rattling than I thought I would. I woulda sent the migs tho. With regards to NATO, it’s now encouraging that they are now increasing spending which is a result of pressure campaigns. Germany laughed when accused by Trump that ties to Russia energy didn’t align strategic goals..they arent laughing now. I don’t see anything brilliant in a war that broke out again in Europe under another administration Biden is a part of. That’s like Trump saying Putin is brilliant for sending in peace keepers. I don’t know how this ends, Gen Milley said originally Kiev would be taken in 72 hours…Ukraine proven to be a lil more resilient. Can the Ukraines win? Maybe? Title 42 comes from a 1944 public health law to prevent the spread of communicable disease. It was implemented in March 2020 by the U.S. Centers for Disease Control and Prevention. The CDC order empowered border enforcement agencies to remove migrants crossing into the United States, including those hoping to apply for asylum, which is their right under U.S. law and international treaty. https://www.voanews.com/a/explainer-what-is-title-42-and-its-effect-on-us-southern-border-/6518286.html A bill by Senate Republicans to terminate the national emergency declaration for the COVID-19 pandemic narrowly passed March 3 on a party-line vote. The legislation passed 48-47, with several absences on the Democratic side of the aisle, in a rebuke of the administration's pandemic policies while it is seeking billions from Congress, Politico reports. The bill has a narrow chance of passing the Democrat-controlled House, and the White House has promised to veto it if it reached President Joe Biden's desk. The president moved to extend the declaration of COVID-19 as a national emergency in a Feb. 18 letter to Congress. https://www.beckershospitalreview.com/hospital-management-administration/gop-effort-to-end-national-emergency-declaration-for-covid-19-clears-senate.html The federal Centers for Disease Control and Prevention, which initiated the move two years ago, said earlier this month that it would lift the ban next month. The restrictions, known as Title 42, have been harder to justify as pandemic restrictions have eased. Trump administration officials cast the curb as a way to keep COVID-19 from spreading further in the U.S. Democrats considered that an excuse for Trump, whose anti-immigrant rhetoric was a hallmark of his presidency, to keep migrants from entering the country. Rep. Judy Chu, D-Calif., said she supported terminating Trump’s curb and questioned GOP motives for seeking to reinstate it. “I find it very ironic for those who haven’t wanted to have a vaccination mandate, for those who did not want to have masks in the classroom, for them to suddenly be very interested in protecting the public,” she said. Re: The Most Fresh & Cordial Political Thread Ever
Title 42 was implemented to prevent the spread declaration of Covid during our national declaration of a pandemic.
GOP says pandemic is over and have spent 2 years downplaying and denying the dangers of Covid. If GOP thinks Covid declaration should end .. then so should the implementation of Title 42 invoked for Covid. ------------- Personally I think and thought our immigration laws already on the books did what Title 42 does. But for this matter, Title 42 was invoked for Covid. If GOP thinks Covid Declaration is over then so should Title 42 declaration made specifically for Covid. Send up a Bill looking to make the restrictions of Title 42 permanent. But .. GOP cant spend years downplaying covid then feign concern of covid when it comes to immigration. (This is just how I feel. Not claiming Im right or anyone elses thoughts are wrong) |
Re: The Most Fresh & Cordial Political Thread Ever
Immigration laws, gun laws, X laws, we have hundreds of thousands of laws and pieces of legislation.
Most issues don't need more laws/legislation. We need enforcement of current laws and legitimate punishments for breaking laws. Politicians don't abide by the laws we already have, so making up some new ones is all for show. They treat them as mere suggestions at best and outright ignore them altogether at worst, when politically convenient to do so. |

The point I was calling out was the claim the GOP attached an unrelated amendment when it certainly isn't unrelated as even your info shows (May be contradictory to what the GOP was pushing in removing domestic COVID policy but then removing the restriction would also fly in the face of what the Biden administration's position is on COVID). |
