I think the feathers shirt-gate highlighted displeasure with the name and brand…moved it from the back burner. Like it or not, message has been sent
It needs to go sooner rather than later |

I couldn't be happier with shirt Gate lol I dunno about a C tho... I'd keep the W above most else sans our logo.

Re: 2024 Commanders Off-Season Thread
old uniforms were great, i'd love to have them back. W helmet is fine, but I do miss the old logo.
I 100% disagree with this. I think Snyder knew his time was coming to an end and wanted to put a stamp on the team. This name is truly Snyderesque and there is 0 chance that Riveria had controlling input on the name. I do think it could have been a lot on Jason Wright, but Snyder is 100% responsible.
Sent from my SM-G781U using Tapatalk
Towards the end of his ownership tenure, all Snyder cared about is to get as much money as possible out of the team. He took out a $55 million dollar loan under the team's name, was charging the team $10 mil annually to use his private jet, and even charged the team $4.5 mil to put the team logo on his private jet as "advertisement" (https://www.cbssports.com/nfl/news/daniel-snyder-allegedly-charged-commanders-4-5-million-to-put-team-logo-on-his-private-jet-per-report/). You really think he gave two shits about the name change, something that was costing him money? |

(Jason Wright?) At first, yes. But these are big organizations that need to keep functioning during transitions. Plus they are useful in other ways to the new regime. Over time, just like water, they will settle to their rightful level. Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk |

Mayhew and AP worked together before so no it's not a big surprise.

Naw nothing that serious, just sexual assault. 😵*💫 u gotta think on a plane full of witnesses they must feel pretty confident to bring this suit. McManus should get his bags packed especially if there is video |

It sounds like they have only adopted it for one year as a trial. It does sound like it will make kickoffs more entertaining and far less predictable.

I'd absolutely trade a 2nd for Tee Higgins if they reached an extension prior to the trade. He's a stud.

McManus cut:
https://www.espn.com/nfl/story/_/id/40265196/commanders-cut-brandon-mcmanus-sexual-assault-lawsuit Kind of expected this for Quinn to institute a no bs policy. McManus may bigger problems than this soon though. |
Re: 2024 Commanders Off-Season Thread
sucks that we need a kicker again, but expected.

If Mcmanus did it why aren't the cops involved? Why do these ladies want money instead of having him prosecuted?

Re: 2024 Commanders Off-Season Thread
My guess is we didn’t know about McManus situation, kinda like we didn’t know about the other foot on Johnny in the draft.
Another knock against the proclaimed “infallible” FO. These guys have made multiple mistakes this offseason while also doing a lot of good things. But it’s been more mixed than folks want to talk about. |

Always difficult to decern the truth from the outside. As I understand it he burden of proof for criminal charges is greater than that for civil litigation, and doesn't get them compensation in the end If it was a targeted shake down why pick the kicker and not the star QB with a reputation to protect. As I said. It is difficult to know the truth from the outside. Apparently Josh Harris still has a large share holding in the company that runs the airline, so likely his contacts fed him info others weren't able to get, may help to explain why the team cut him before the NFL had any chance to react. |

Many still keeping their fingers crossed about the new OL coach. With all of the physicals before the draft, especially for a guy with an injury, it is highly likely they knew about the other foot but weren't bothered that much, may have been why he slipped to us. |

wonder who they will try to bring in to be the new placekicker now ? with the release of mcmanus

If you look for mistakes hard enough, you'll find some things that you can label as such. Since I don't expect the Commanders FO to act like a branch of the FBI, I'll let them slide on the events you mentioned. |
