$12M for this stunt, unbelievable
Imagine the cost of not securing the border…whistling right past it |
Re: The Most Fresh & Cordial Political Thread Ever
The fact this is what it took for the hypocrites to finally be up in arms.
50 people. I still don’t understand why the wealthy area of Martha Vineyard didn’t let them stay? |

To seek asylum you have to be physically in that country. They are claiming to be asylees. |

Are private residents supposed to clean up DeSantis's dump? Not sure if you've ever visited that area but it's not exactly set up to deal with that type of situation in terms of services and shelter.
The island's lone homeless shelter, she noted, runs only in the winter. It has space for only five to 10 people.
|

Where should they live? Who should be responsible for paying for them? What communities should be stuck with all of the additional people they have no money or infrastructure for? Seems like a majority of democrats want an unlimited number immigrants to flow into the county by saying the magic asylum word. But want Texas, AZ, and FL to deal with all the people. Well except for the ones that Biden flies all over the country without word or complaint from anyone. Under the Biden administration, we're not even a sovereign nation anymore. Anyone can just get to the border, say asylum, and walk right in. Our new immigration policy is: Make it to the border. |
Re: The Most Fresh & Cordial Political Thread Ever
Immigration is obviously a major issue that didn't start under Biden, Trump, Obama, etc.
Doesn't change the fact this latest political stunt is childish, petty, and cruel. WWJD, right? Not this that's for sure. |

And all of these people leaving Venezuela, etc., our making their countries even worse. Its sapping young men and women that should be part of a plan to grow local economies, and future young men and women. Thus making the situations even worse in their home countries, and perpetuating a cycle of even more people wanting to leave. |

Immigration right now is a shit show. Hardline stance won't work and hasn't that just encourages people to find more dangerous pathways into country, encourages more human trafficking and prevents us from actually knowing the details and impacts of the issue. What we are doing now isn't working either. The problem I have with DeSantis and his stunt is that well yes the burden is falling on border states they are gladly utilizing (and they should be) federal money to supply and create the necessary infrastructure for the problem. So his state receives resources from all 50 states to support refugees in his state but he willfully sends people to a place where there is no infrastructure to support them. I just don't see how that is beneficial to resolving the issue. |

I'll come with. I've never been to another country besides Cabo and T.J. in Mexico in college. |

I doubt Venezuela cares very much about losing quality people. It's a bit of a shit hole in case you haven't heard.

I'd think the actual citizens of their country very much care about anything that makes the country even worse off than it already is. |

All liberals are virtual signaling hypocrites Why did Biden not meet with the 26 bipartisan governors last year when they requested a meeting to come up with a solution? Trump again managed the border, flow of illegals coming into this country much better than this shithole of a President
Martha Vineyard is not a sanctuary city you dumb shit! Boston yes. You never cease to amaze us with your fucking stupidity and ignorance ! |
