Re: Dream Draft Pick of the 2010 Draft
I thought it was a coin flip
It's a coin flip in the case of a strength of schedule tie. We have a higher strength of schedule than KC so if the season ended today KC would draft 5 and we would draft 6. |

Yup. It's all about strength of schedule. |
Re: Dream Draft Pick of the 2010 Draft
I hope it plays out like this
Round 1 Russell Okung Round 1 (trade next years 1 and 5th) Colt McCoy Round 2 Ryan Mathews If this happened I would be estatic
who's he? |
Re: Dream Draft Pick of the 2010 Draft
RB-Fresno State
Unless he was thinking of Ryan Mallett? |
Re: Dream Draft Pick of the 2010 Draft
I'm going to jump on the Suh bandwagon. Then find a way to trade back into the first and get an OT in the mid to late 1st round. Sign a young free agent at Guard and Center. I'll probably be changing my mind tomorrow.

Re: Dream Draft Pick of the 2010 Draft
i think if we draft anything outside of o-lineman, my head will explode. we, as a group, have done nothing but bitch and moan about how bad our line sucks. this is our time to take care of some of that problem.

id agree if there were another jake long, joe thomas, chris samuels type of elite prospect at the OT position worthy of a top 3-5 pick. do you think okung is in that class? some think so, im not so sure. id rather not reach to fill a need. i guess it really depends on where we pick. |

If we don't reach then we need to trade down. any pick other then OL would be ridiculous. I guess, I could modify that if a stud, along Orakpo's situation, fell to us, and we wheeled and dealed and got several OL in the later rounds. But we normally are on the losing end of wheeling and dealing so if we reach we reach. 2010 is the year to right the OL. |
Re: Dream Draft Pick of the 2010 Draft
trading down will probably be the way to go. i love me some Orakpo, but wanted Oher

Re: Dream Draft Pick of the 2010 Draft
we have a legitimate chance to win three more games, we will beat oakland, and dallas at home, and we have a shot at the giants they don't look as solid as everyone thought. i doubt we will be in the top 5 we will most likely be 8 i hope we some how manage to get the 11th pick cause then we would have a better chance of trading down

Re: Dream Draft Pick of the 2010 Draft
Here's another small school guy I like. Running back out of Buffalo. Missed this year with a shoulder injury which has dropped him from a potential 2nd round pick to possibly the 4th or 5th round. Could be a steal

Re: Dream Draft Pick of the 2010 Draft
I expect guys like Suh and Eric Berry to be long gone by the time we pick. Even though they may become good pro's, I hope we don't trade up for Clausen or Bradford. I think the smartest thing we could do if we don't trade down for more picks, would be to take Okung with our first and someone like Trent Williams with our second if they're available when we pick. Take a RB and maybe a QB in the 4th and 5th. If we could put together a package to get another second, I would take Gerhart and then go LB, (Micah Johnson available in the 4th?) instead of RB in the 4th or 5th, but that would probably have to involve trading a player plus pick, or something from next years picks.

Can you please be our GM? |

If he think's Trent Williams will be available in the second then he doesn't have my vote for GM. |
