Unfortunately a coach or person who is getting paid that much is being influenced heavily by money.

We don't need another coach who is influenced by a lot of money or the luster of a head coaching job.

The next coach needs to be impervious to cash influence and value his own pride. Basically we need a coach who wants to come here to improve the team for his own pride not to pad his resume or pocketbook.

I also think that #2 is ultimately the decision he will make...

In my opinion, one of those guys is worth $10 mill easily, considering the experience and value they would add. I won't, however, commit to when they should be paid that check b/c I honestly don't know what to think about Zorn. I'm trying really hard to take the loss with a grain of salt and not get into the typical sky is falling mentality. It's hard for me to do this when, the team itself seems to be imploding (when they start pointing fingers internally, or calling out a fan base publicly).

As far as the dollar value, I think 10 mill is a drop in the bucket that is the skins organization. If we finish say 6-10 or 7-9 and miss the playoffs (without one of them), I would wager that one of these guys would represent at least 3 wins above that next year. That turnaround plus the hype associated with adding one of those names to the organization could itself generate enough of a revenue to pay for a large chunk of that salary.

Lol, you stole my avatar. Besides I personally just don't see the Ravens as a true Redskin rival. I respect how they are run as an organization and I root for them to do well. They basically serve as my favorite AFC team. Plus the signature should serve as a hint as to part of the reason why I chose to use a Ravens avatar.

I'm glad to hear that. With his promotion early this year I was wondering how hard it would be to snag him from the Ravens. Now I guess the only questions that remain are:

1. Will Snyder strip Vinny of his personnel duties?

2. Would DeCosta be crazy enough to come back to the Redskins (he was originally an entry level intern in 1995)?

Holmgren didn't have a whole lot of success as a GM. Obviously I'm touting Decosta now/again so in all honesty I only want Holmgren as a coach/playcaller. They do need to consider a new Defensive Coordinator. 51% on third down is pathetic especially for a defense with this level of talent.

With Cerrato I picture a Rich McKay type situation where McKay took on a more organizational role and someone else gets hired to run the show. Ironically if it went down the same way as it did in Atlanta Vinny would become President Cerrato.

When you lose 8 of the last 11 with a talented team I find it hard not to blame the coaching although it may not all be his fault you just shouldn't be losing that much with a team who has this much talent.
