Re: Who Will Be The Redskins 2011 Opening Day Starting QB?
Well.. If we are not going to get Luck.. Then, I would rather have a QB who has alot of skill and a year under his belt then someone like Locker who is unproven.
Yeah. I will only hesitantly agree to this because I don't think Locker can cut it. But I'm not saying Clausen can either... |
Re: Who Will Be The Redskins 2011 Opening Day Starting QB?
I was thinking the same thing SS. Spend our first round pick on a good WR, bring in Palmer, and use the rest of the draft to shore up the OLine. Sign a new DC, (Phillips) and name Torain the day 1 starter at RB. Keep rex as our backup, and sign whatever veterans we think will be an upgrade for defense and OLine. signing veterans...., that is what we are good at anyways............

McNabb says he wants to stay in WSH..
I'm not buying it NFL.com news: Benching upsets McNabb, but he wants to return to Redskins |

Thats just more of the same. It's time to bite the bullet and at least start to attempt something that resembles a rebuilding effort. |

I could see going after a Solid QB like Orton, Schaub etc.. But Carson Palmer? He's been bad for a while now. |

Bulger also might be a decent veteran option but I'd like to see a rookie with a reclamation project. Either our very own John Beck or Alex Smith. Marc Bulger if they want another veteran because Palmer is going to be looking for a decent chunk of change coming off a $100 million contract, not to mention all but a guarantee to start. |
Re: Who Will Be The Redskins 2011 Opening Day Starting QB?
Yeah Carson Palmer not = stellar this year. I still like Orton, you know Denver is going to go with Denver's version of Pineapple Jesus, Gator Jesus.

I'm going to have to throw a flag on this one. Personal foul. Bull S#!++ing the passer. 15 yard penalty. 4th Down. |
Re: Who Will Be The Redskins 2011 Opening Day Starting QB?
But the decision that I would still like to know about is:
Who was the "driving force" behind the contract extension for McNabb at the end of the bye week?

I just dont trust Smith, he reminds me of Ramsey imo.. We might as well keep Rex if thats the case. |
Re: Who Will Be The Redskins 2011 Opening Day Starting QB?
I still want Christian Ponder
That would be an excellent pick. I hate FSU (Canes fan) but he has impressed me for 2 years now. He has Peyton Manning-like intelligence too. I think he could figure out any system. I still think McNabb will be back and starting. I really think this "demotion" is more about determining if Grossman is worth re-signing as a backup than it is about McNabb. Our playoff chances are shot, and Shanahan knows it's a rebuilding process, so he's getting a head start on season #2. Locker...please no. |
