Re: Carson Palmer to Oakland Raiders for 1st/2012
No Jamal Charles has produced big time ford hasn't not the same thing bro
Let's start from the top. Argument Jacoby Ford has 9 catches out of all games this season(6) That means he averages 1.5 catches a game Therefore he is average. Problem here is that averages don't count games the player doesn't participate in. Ford averages 2.25 catches per in each game was eligible to play. So, even though Ford has been deemed ineligible for 2 games this season, they should count against him. So, why don't we apply this to everyone else and not just Ford? I don't care if it's Peyton Manning or JaMarcus Russell. Stats like yards per game are meant to be objective measures. So, should every "per game" stat like catches per game or yards per game count only if the player is active or should it be that every game his team players, even if he is inactive? You can't have it one way for every "unknown" and then favor every superstar with a different stat. |

Bengals owner: Okay Carson, they are offering us TWO really high draft picks for your washed up services. Go out there and get us the first overall, and we will have all the power. mwahaaaahaaahaaaa!!! |
Re: Carson Palmer to Oakland Raiders for 1st/2012
I think Palmer's failure to perform can be primarily attributed having so little time to learn the playbook. John Beck looked like a total scrub and Kerry Collins was also ineffective when they had to do that.

Plus no training camp, no practice time, etc. This week says little about Carson Palmer. |
Re: Carson Palmer to Oakland Raiders for 1st/2012
Palmer really had no business playing this week. He said he knows about 10% of the offense. And that's probably a pretty generous estimate on his part.

Ah well, at least the Colts game took a little heat off of him.

Agree in full what were they thinking putting him in after the game was out ouf reach anyway, i know i was a division game but geeeesh. Now the team moral is in the dumps as if it wasnt already. |

Well, Al Davis decided that Kyle Boller was worth a roster spot. Looks like even after death, he manages to make fans desire a real GM for the Raiders. |
Re: Carson Palmer to Oakland Raiders for 1st/2012
Oakland really missed Jason Campell yesterday. Wow.

Re: Carson Palmer to Oakland Raiders for 1st/2012
People judged this trade to soon, you can't expect a QB who's been sitting for 1.5 years come in and perform a miracle. As Palmer learns the offense the Raiders will play better and be contenders, I still think it was a good trade for the Raiders.

Good trade for OAK still, better trade for CIN in the long run. Unless of course OAK wins the big game... |
I didn't think Carson had a single good game left in him. I stand corrected. I still think they will be few and far between though. Cincinnati wins.

Re: Carson Palmer to Oakland Raiders for 1st/2012
Bengals won this trade folks yeah palmer had a good game last night but his first 2 were bad, ntm he's getting older and hasn't really played well in a few years, I still think SD wins the west at 9-7

Re: Carson Palmer to Oakland Raiders for 1st/2012
Palmer seems to be getting up to speed pretty quick, and his arm looks strong.
