1) It's at a high school ,while school was in .17 and 16 year olds are still kids.
2) there was no mention of a "drug deal gone bad" in the link
3) ...so because the shooter or shooters only grazed the victims it doesn't really count ,wow.

Just because you read one article that is written with an agenda doesn't mean that's what's going on. The sad and unfortunate truth is you really can't believe anything you read in the news anymore. If you read a few different articles you get a view of the bigger picture.

If you tell lies I'll call you on it, NRA affiliation notwithstanding.

To represent a group of gun deaths as 'children' when the overwhelming majority are gang-bangers would be laughable, if not for the seriousness of the topic.

From the CDC/FBI figures I've been able to separate out it's 0.2% kids under 10 years old, attributable to accidents exacerbated by piss-poor gun safety (i.e. not securing and restricting access to the weapon), the vast majority of the remainder are primarily in the 14-19 age group and are gang related. This totally skews the data and misrepresents the societal cause.

All of them were minors, under 18 years old. That makes them kids. To be an adult, "young" or not, requires being at least age 18.

The tv news wrongly told me of fatalities, so I will edit my remarks: "More kids shot."

So there you go, everyone is now happy: More Kids Shot.

Those facts make what happened early yesterday morning even more terrifying.

Four suspects broke into Carlson’s home with the intent to steal the painkillers that he takes to deal with the pain associated with his cancer.

Carlson struggled with one of the suspects, and managed to grab his own gun, at which point he fired one shot, hitting, and killing one of the suspects, identified as 23-year-old Gypsy Watts.

According to the Grand Forks Herald, Watts was responsible for a series of convenience store robberies when he was 19. He spent a year in jail for those crimes.[/I]

Should the Mr. Carlson have called for police and waited for them to arrive, rather than protecting himself? I'm just sorry he didn't injure/kill the other three scumbags.
