I know you are referring to free agents in general, and Vernon turned out to be a huge grab for us, but I think French was looking for some help on the other side of the ball.

Except everyone knew it was coming. Washington took only a little over a minute to score on that pass to DJax. And that was right after Dallas had another long scoring drive. As soon as Jax scored I told my wife "Washington scored too fast and they will want to give their defense more rest. Watch for this onside kick that is coming."

But Vernon Davis is exactly the caliber of player I'd love the Redskins to pick up on D this year!

Has anyone looked at potential FAs for next year? I didn't see anyone who was really lighting my fire. If we have the money leftover, I'm kind of over the "solid guy" pick-ups we've been getting lately. Not saying I want us to go apeshit, but versus getting 4s and 5s in FA, I'd love to spend a little more and get some 7s or 8s.

It doesn't look like everyone knew it was coming. Dallas clearly didn't hold at the 45, and if the ball had died right, the Skins had a good shot at it.

I think it was a very good call and time for the call. It just didn't work...
