lol I hit my wife in the head pretty good one night. It was weird too because I was half awake but I couldn't stop myself from dropping my forearm right across her head.
I've never done that, but I've been on the receiving end of it. I was sound asleep and I guess my wife turned over quickly in her sleep and her forearm came down hard right on the bridge of my nose. It was the equivalent of getting woke (awakened, waked??) up by a punch to the face. I was seeing stars man. I was NOT happy. Even though I know she didn't mean, I was still pissed. hahaha. |
Re: What's your pet peeve?
As to hitting someone in their sleep - once, early on in my relationship with my eventually-to-be-wife, I had a dream that I was in a knife fight with her ex-boyfriend. In the dream, we are struggling, I roll him over, get a clear shot at him, and plunge my knife into him hard right between the shoulder blades...
I wake up just as I as my fist is swinging down into my wife's back, hard, right between the shoulder blades. I mean I thumped her good. She woke up screaming both from pain and fright. She took a couple minutes to calm down. Given her terrified screaming, I was surprised the neighbors didn't call the cops - it was so piercing. And, yet,she married me ... Hope that wasn't TMI and sorry for the threadjack. Back to peeves: People who threadjack; People who share too much information; People who talk about their dreams.
That is an awesome story. :goodjob: |

People who carry on a one-sided conversation with their dog.

Re: What's your pet peeve?
Seeing ads on football forums advertising panties for men. Now maybe nylon panties for men isn't what it sounds like, but to me it sounds like panties for men.

I am dead serious he lives with his mom, usually he is in his room which looks my room when I was in 8th grade. Even sadder he has a kid. Overall he is a nice guy and always eats his crow, look for a JAWAD on youtube now he is a$$hole. |

People who mow in the rain.

Re: What's your pet peeve?
^ Is she (I'm assuming that's a she based on the Capri pants) also holding a purse? And are those bath mats and newpapers covering the lawn mower? And why is she so concerned with her grass that she feels the need to mow it in the rain but she is not concerned with the amount of garbage in her yard?
So many questions... |
Re: What's your pet peeve?
Electric lawnmower too. Also, mowing over trash apparently also.
|
Re: What's your pet peeve?
Maybe its her kinda therapy
|
Re: What's your pet peeve?
I'm gonna guess she is bringing it in from the rain.
|
Re: What's your pet peeve?
all that garage and she left it in the yard.. and enough time for someone to get a pic?
possible I guess |
I'm gonna guess she is bringing it in from the rain.
The patch behind the mower and to the right are clearly mowed. No stray blades of grass sticking up like to the left. I have the explanation for this photo...it was taken in CANADA. |
Re: What's your pet peeve?
bars that warn that their wings are hot then you get them and their not.
then you go to a place and order their hot wings, the bartender tries to warn you, you wave his precautions off given past fallacies, get the wings, your crying after the 1st one with sweat pouring out of your forehead, snot running down your nose and your face is bright red. i ate 3 of them phuckers. i could have ate more but there werent anymore drumsticks, just the wing parts which I wouldnt dare try b/c when i eat those sauce gets all over my face. i havent been right for 12 hours now, barely slept. |

Re: What's your pet peeve?
saw a lady in the far right lane talking on the phone leaving about 5 car lengths of space ahead of her. a guy comes up on her left and signals that he wants to change into her lane in front of her.
what does she do? puts the phone down for a second (holds it aorund her chest area), speeds up to close the open space in front of her so the car couldnt change lanes in front of her, then went back to talking on her cell phone. the guy just ended up changing lanes into the right lane to exit a few cars ahead of her. she went back to talking on the cell phone and leaving a good 5 car length space ahead of her. |
Re: What's your pet peeve?
I really hate people that play those petty games on the road. If someone is signaling and needs to move over, just let them over for crying out loud.

You should wait even if they have on their turn signal. I never trust a turn signal. |

Re: What's your pet peeve?
People who use their caller ID instead of listening to their messages. It happens in ours office all the time where someone looks at there phone and calls back asking who called them. Well we have 4 people in the office and if you listened to your Fing msg. you would know who called and for what. Instead we have to guess and ask around who called who. That's even tougher when they are on the phone so its not like you can go around and interrupt everyone.

Re: What's your pet peeve?
My new one and it is climbing to the top very quickly.
Overall supportive moms who talk to their kids in a Sing/Song Rah/Rah cheerleader voice. IT is so annoying. Lady next to me daughter just went away to WVU the girl calls 4 times a day to tell her how she is doing. IT is so annoying! "OOOOOOH you got your first A on your homework, that is so awesome, you must just feel on top of the world!" "Hurray for Kristen!" My wife will do it with my two year old son as well. It is annoying I am like do you want him to think we live in Candy Land the board game, just tell him how it is not all sing/songy! Grrrrr.... I know sometimes when you are down it is nice to have your mom pick you up but doing all the time is so annoying. |

I kind of hate voicemails period when it comes to being at work. I don't mind them when it's my cell phone or home phone, but at work I'm like, "Mother f-er, how hard is it to shoot me an email about what the problem is? I GET my emails on my cell phone so even if I'm out, you're going to get a MUCH more immediate response. Otherwise, you're: looking up my extension, waiting for my lengthy voicemail message to cycle through, leave me a message, wait for me to get BACK to get that message, put in my voicemail code (which is way more difficult where I work than it should be) THEN listen to your entire message. EMAILS. |

They are slowly switching them out so everyone keeps trying to break their Avaya in hopes of getting a new phone but not being to obvious about it. I have literally proud water on to the key pad a few times and the damn thing still works!
