Re: Redskins Patriots game thread.
These CBS comedy promos remind me why I no longer watch AFC football.
How did the Patriots go from a Hall of Fame kicker to probably the best kicker in the NFL back to back?
Huh? Who are you talking about about? |
Re: Redskins Patriots game thread.
Darth Hoody could not have sold his soul to the devil because Darth is the devil.
|
Re: Redskins Patriots game thread.
Gostkowski, I assume.
|
Re: Redskins Patriots game thread.
Because he was beaten one-on-one by Randy Moss?? Man, you're tough.
I think on the first TD he also failed to provide any help even though he was playing deep shaded towards Randy Moss. I'm not positive. |
Re: Redskins Patriots game thread.
Hall wasn't in bad postion on that pass at all, but if Blache thinks he can stop Brady to Moss without safety help, it ain't going to work.
Only way to stop Brady to Moss is PRESSURE from the D line (see also Giants, NY). |
Re: Redskins Patriots game thread.
That first TD was just good execution, Moss had the position on Hall
|
Re: Redskins Patriots game thread.
Chase Daniel 98 yard drive?
|
Re: Redskins Patriots game thread.
Chase Daniel 98 yard drive?
Bring on Collins! |
Re: Redskins Patriots game thread.
Enough Colt crap, we know what he can do.....lets see Daniel already please!!!!!
|
Re: Redskins Patriots game thread.
Gostkowski, I assume.
Is this the same Gostkowski that led Belichick to go for it on 4th and long in the Superbowl, instead of try a field goal that would have drastically changed the game? Has he gotten that good??
I think on the first TD he also failed to provide any help even though he was playing deep shaded towards Randy Moss. Re: Redskins Patriots game thread.
Only way to stop Brady to Moss is PRESSURE from the D line (see also Giants, NY).
Agreed. Taking Moss away helps though. Makes him move to 2nd-3rd reads.
Of course if those guys are open... |
Re: Redskins Patriots game thread.
daniels to break the tie?
|
Re: Redskins Patriots game thread.
Gostkowski, I assume.
Yeah. He is a great pro bowl kicker. |
Re: Redskins Patriots game thread.
That first TD was just good execution, Moss had the position on Hall
Killer audible, then Moss ran a great route going outside/inside on Hall. |
Re: Redskins Patriots game thread.
Chase Daniel 98 yard drive?
Or a tied game, and Chase wins it in OT. Man, I sound like SmootSmack. |
Re: Redskins Patriots game thread.
Damn it, let ARE take some snaps, see if he can earn the third spot!
|
Re: Redskins Patriots game thread.
No Chase. :(

Colt is playing the rest of the way Daniel will get a long look next week Per Mort on Twitter |
Re: Redskins Patriots game thread.
Looks like Zorn decided to open it up a bit tonight. I like it.
They should always play like that. The pass interference call that put the ball on the 1 should be a wake up call. Good things happen when you go deep and even the worst thing that can happen (an INT) ain't all that bad. It's essentially a punt. BELEEDAT! |
Is this the same Gostkowski that led Belichick to go for it on 4th and long in the Superbowl, instead of try a field goal that would have drastically changed the game? Has he gotten that good??
I think Gostkowski is as good as anyone in the league. Maybe not better than 4-5 other guys.
The problem is that Vinatieri's rep got so enormous that be became more than a kicker in the minds of many, which he never was. He was just an accurate, dependable kicker with questionable distance on his kickoffs. Gostkowski is the same deal, but with better distance on his kickoffs. |
Re: Redskins Patriots game thread.

Good, but not the best in the league |

Re: Redskins Patriots game thread.
the o-line did good in giving campbell time tonight
|
Re: Redskins Patriots game thread.
Ouch, the Cult of Colt may be going after Mort after this comment:
mortreport The 'Skins wanted Colt Brennan to be the No.2 this year but he doesn't know how to play QB yet. Witness, the sack he just took.
|
Re: Redskins Patriots game thread.
Good, but not the best in the league
Ok got it. It's pretty sad looking at the kickers we have had recently. |
Re: Redskins Patriots game thread.
the o-line did good in giving campbell time tonight
...and that is why we are going downfield more often. |
daniels to break the tie?
Who is Daniels??? Phillip?? |
Re: Redskins Patriots game thread.
A couple points.
Haynesworth aint playing like a star....decent yes...a mild improvement over Griffen, yes...but not much more. The mid round LB draft picks have been completely invisible. Barnes is legit...Tryon is ok...a tough decision on roster...Westbrook improved. Safetys solid....Chris Wilson established at the #2 OLB easy...HB blades solid...the #2 picks from last year took a step back...especially Kellly...he had opps...just blew them....devon continues to be invisible as well as our backup TE...who is he? who freaking cares...not legit yet....I do like the oline improvement....adequate yes, improved, yes...dominant NOT. Our Punter is amazing, best upgrade. Campbell is solid but needs a dominant line which we dont have. |
Re: Redskins Patriots game thread.
If colt can lead us home he's in
|

Re: Redskins Patriots game thread.
Yup, Phillip has a nice arm!

Damn it, quake. You tease us with a single one liner every half.

I still think he makes a huge difference. |

You can tell he eats his Wheaties |

sorry for the s shoot me haha
|
Re: Redskins Patriots game thread.
great special teams for 3 and 3/4 quarters and then that.
|
Re: Redskins Patriots game thread.
Ya know what...I am very skeptical and a bit negative on Zorn...but the reality is this.....
He actually adjusted play calling for Campbell to establish a vertical passing game which is his strength....to me, that is a major adjustment....one he did not make mid season which kept us out of the playoffs.....I know it wont be mentioned but preseason is also a training opportunity for new head coaches that definately need the work |
