Rex looked shaky early on too.
But it takes a bit to get settled against a d like the ravens. See my main thing is that the bootleg works so well with the stretch run. Advantage Beck, in that regard, as he is more mobile. Rex wins out in everything else. |
Re: Redskins-Ravens: Gameday Thread
I thought Moss had him beat with a better throw by Rex
And Suggs was holding him too by the way. But yeah, Rexy could have thrown it better. |
Re: Redskins-Ravens: Gameday Thread
Flacco starting still? Sounds kinda risky.
|
Re: Redskins-Ravens: Gameday Thread
Consider that Anquan Boldin, never, ever consider a burner in his career, had no issue whatsoever running right through Brian Orakpo's zone and playing keep away.
|
Re: Redskins-Ravens: Gameday Thread
Rex wins out for the QB competition mainly because of experience. He started in Chicago, in the goold ole black and blue division, and did get to a SB. Beck has only been a bench warmer thus far. Do you really want a benchwarmer/clipboard holder to try and take the heat that the Gmen and Philly are going to bring almost every down?

Re: Redskins-Ravens: Gameday Thread
Anyone hear on Jenkins
|
Re: Redskins-Ravens: Gameday Thread
Nice job Ravens, you couldn't STAND to lose to the Skins first team. *slow clap*
|
Re: Redskins-Ravens: Gameday Thread
BTW, that's the Ravens first team offense against our second team defense.
|
Re: Redskins-Ravens: Gameday Thread
The Ravens are bringing alot tonite and we hung with them no problem. 1st teams vs 1st teams. Id say tonite a relative success once again this preseason. HTTR

Rex wins out in everything else.
Right, just saying for those knocking Beck for looking shaky, Rex had that extra series to settle down |
Re: Redskins-Ravens: Gameday Thread
Kerrigan jersey available?
|

Agree. |
Re: Redskins-Ravens: Gameday Thread
I thought Moss had him beat with a better throw by Rex
It certainly could have been completed with a good throw, but Moss wasn't turning the corner. Suggs was in good position.

Re: Redskins-Ravens: Gameday Thread
Gotta' say, the few times I've seen Thompson in coverage, he's been stride for stride.
|
Re: Redskins-Ravens: Gameday Thread
Rookie Thompson right there with Lee Evans... nice to see..

There's an imprint of his jersey on Flacco's back. LOL. :food-smil |
Re: Redskins-Ravens: Gameday Thread
HB Blades BLEW that one

Re: Redskins-Ravens: Gameday Thread
Halfway through our 3rd preseason game and I still don't know who I want to start at quarterback.
|
Re: Redskins-Ravens: Gameday Thread
This is it. The reserves are in now and this is probably their last best chance to make the team.
|
Re: Redskins-Ravens: Gameday Thread
Redskins twos against Ravens ones right now.
|
Re: Redskins-Ravens: Gameday Thread
Our second time is doing a damn good job against one of the top three lines in the league.
|
Everyone be mindful this is ones vs twos. No need to get terribly upset over each play.
|
Re: Redskins-Ravens: Gameday Thread
Blades 0-for-2... given the Ravens about 30 yds on this drive
|
Re: Redskins-Ravens: Gameday Thread
I wonder if Harbaugh is going to say he rolled right over the Redskins when his first team plays into the fourth. LOL.
|
Redskins twos against Ravens ones right now.
You type too fast...lol |
Re: Redskins-Ravens: Gameday Thread
Cutting the team down to 80 & then 53 is going to be tough.
|
Wow..:-) .

Nah. The first cut down date I think you'll see the majority of the no-names get cut. The second cut down date is when I think the real questions will be answered. |
Re: Redskins-Ravens: Gameday Thread
Our second string agaionst their starters, this should be interesting
|
Re: Redskins-Ravens: Gameday Thread
Well we know their 1st team is A LOT better than our 2nd team... lol
|
Re: Redskins-Ravens: Gameday Thread
Rushers need to get the HANDS UP!
|

Meh let him have that. Im glad tirico is repeating it a bunch. |
Re: Redskins-Ravens: Gameday Thread
Just completely carved up ... .horrible reserve defense.
|
Re: Redskins-Ravens: Gameday Thread
Aw. Big men. Leaving their starters in against the backups. How classy.
|
Rushers need to get the HANDS UP!
And they stay there.... |
Re: Redskins-Ravens: Gameday Thread
I appreciate that the announcers are stating that it wasn't THAT impressive.
|
Re: Redskins-Ravens: Gameday Thread
Looks like our first team defense better stay healthy... sheesh.
|
Re: Redskins-Ravens: Gameday Thread
I love how Mike Tirico keeps reminding that the Ravens are going against our back ups. Yet Jaws and Chucky keep talking like they are playing against the Pats' starting defense.
