Adam Schefter @AdamSchefter Saints land replacement for Carl Nicks, sign Ben Grubbs to a five-year, $36 million deal, including $10 million signing bonus. Also, Brees hasn't signed his tender and by all accounts said he wasn't planning on it. Guess Chase Daniel reaps the rewards?...lol
You're starting to sound like skinsfan69. |

Buffalo has met most of the conditions for a deal for Texans free agent LB Mario Williams and is "close to a deal." Answer "real soon."
What do you wanna pay them with? Trident Layers?
Calm down bro. I just don't want to pay a guard 7-9 mil/season. |

So the Cowpukes sign Brodney Pool...not like we need a safety or anything like that.

Got trucked by Ahmad Bradshaw Brodney Pool?

I can't take someone seriously who's first name is Brodney. Sounds like his parents got smashed when they came up with his name. A combination of Brody and Rodney? Brad, Rodney and Whitney? Bryan, Ronald, and Neyney? |

I guess, he can replace got trucked by Brandon Jacobs Laron Landry. Sent from my Samsung Galaxy Tab 10.1 |

The Bills get Mario Williams, in related news the NFL may ban hits on QBs to protect Tom Brady.

Now if Peyton can hurry up and make a decision we can have a new topic.

And they'll do it in a secret meeting and it will cost the redskins 30 mil. |
And they'll do it in a secret meeting and it will cost the redskins 30 mil.
:laughing- And the reason they'll provide for the punishment is that by the Redskins actively trying to defend against Tom Brady, they are upsetting the uncompetitive balance the league is seeking to achieve. |
Re: 2012 NFL Free Agency Tracker
In regards to Mario's contract.
Adam Schefter @AdamSchefter Mario Williams' deal in Buffalo: six years, up to $100 million, including $50 million guaranteed I blame Vinny and Dan for this type of stupid contracts. Had to go and set the market with a 100million dollar defensive lineman. /facepalm At what point is it going to stop? You can't dedicate but so much money to a player to field a competitive team. Make no mistake about it, I think the players should get a bulk of the money, but paying one guy(not a QB) that? |

Re: 2012 NFL Free Agency Tracker
Why do folks get so wrapped up about the money? Who gives a shit it isn't my money or yours.
They could pay Mario Williams 10 billion for all i give a crap. |

I LOL'd
Aaron Rodgers @AaronRodgers12 Congrats to Mario Williams signing in buffalo... far away from the NFC north, thanks big guy |

They could pay Mario Williams 10 billion for all i give a crap.
Actually, it is your money (the fans). That said, it wouldn't be a big deal if their were no salary cap, but it doesn't make very good business sense to dedicate that type of money to one player that isn't a QB. I don't think Houston dropped off when Mario went out, which is exactly why they are letting him walk. This isn't about how much money he's making. It's how much a % he's taking up of the salary cap. |

To me the salary cap is a joke ever year teams figure ways to beat it. They make lots of money (shocker) get over. |
Re: 2012 NFL Free Agency Tracker
You gotta figure Bills signing Mario Williams won't help whatever shot the Dolphins had of getting Peyton Manning
|
Re: 2012 NFL Free Agency Tracker
They make lots of money (shocker) get over.
The fact you said this, tells me you didn't understand exactly what I said. This isn't a argument about how much a guy is making. It's a argument about bettering your team by allocating that money elsewhere to provide quality depth and skill at other positions compared to dumping it into one player who really can be replaced with not much drop off. |

I don't support the Bills and I don't think the salary cap really handicaps teams. There always seems to be away around it. |

I have just discovered Smoot is really Adam Schefter. Adam Schefter @AdamSchefter One more strike against Miami's pursuit of Peyton Manning: Mario Williams now plays in Buffalo, where his job is to make QBs miserable. |

Yes. But we'd need to understand his other offers to comprehend the situation. If the second best offer was for $10 mil. less, well, I'd be all about the money too for $10 mil. |
Re: 2012 NFL Free Agency Tracker
Anyone who goes to Buffalo is all about the money. What other reason could there be?
The weather? The team's talent? The team's history of championships? The nightlife in town. The chance to play New England twice? New York's income taxes? They do have one of the most-committed fanbases though. |
