How is it negative that i'm not taking an unsubstantied report about one of our most beloved redskins leaving us at face value?

All the best to our free agents who leave. Go out and earn us some compensatory picks!!!

Greg Toler to the Colts...

Grant Paulsen ‏@granthpaulsen
The #Colts have announced that they've agreed to a deal with CB Greg Toler. Former #Cardinals DB was on the #Redskins' radar.

#Redskins have reached out to D. Hall about coming back but he's generating lots of interest: Dal, NYG, NE, DET, ATL, MIn, TB

This has got to be like a junkie's withdrawal for DS, and those who are hooked on the Skins grabbing the FA headlines every season. I'm not sure if I qualify, I didn't want any out of the gate signings, yet from 4pm on Twitter and theWarpath have been my primary focal points. (work is so yesterday anyway!)

Yesterday there were reports moss was cut. A few hours later he was restructured. These nfl "insiders" get a lot of their info from agents, who often have reason to leak false info out to get a better deal for their client. We've known for a while skins were going to let Lorenzo test the market. That's what he's doing. It doesn't mean he gone.

ATL? I can't see them bringing him back in. NE, NYG will not pay him what he is looking for & I can't see him wanting to go to DET. I don't see Dallas as well because he seemed to leave here on good terms.

I see the main players being us, MIN & TB due to their cap room.

Lol people don't realize that you can't just take one person who has the ''measurables'' and move them to another position and they'll just --like the snap of the finger-- fit right in and work out lol

I hope Dallas signs him so that RGIII can burn his ass on a regular basis.

Dansby wouldn't be a bad pick up for a low cost.

redskins5044 03-12-2013 07:05 PM

It feels good not to be spending big in FA anymore, teams are built through the draft and filling holes in FA with value players at a low cost.

I completely agree. Notice how a lot of the premier teams, if not all the premier teams are not making much noise right now.

We have solid depth along the front line. Adam Carriker returning and Jenkins will hopefully be improved after his second year off that injury.

Excellent point. Boring free agency means solid depth and growth from within and a reliance on the draft. Model for success in the NFL...although, the irrational fan in me loves those free agency press conferences announcing new players...guess that's why I'm a fan and not a football exec

Boring free agency also means we got bent over with a bogus cap penalty. Otherwise we would be more active. Not Vinny/Danny active, just more active.

I like the moves that we have made thus far though with taking care of our own and restructuring some contracts.

My bet is we sign a DB, maybe an O-lineman, but not much else...

Great point about the cap crap. Am just trying to be positive and not even mention it. The cap thing makes me wonder not what free agent splash we could have made, rather, what needs could we have filled with a solid pickup, of which we can't even afford because of the imaginary infraction we supposedly committed.

Interesting. I don't see that being a possibility as I don't believe Reggie wants to return to his role with the saints. I also don't want a reason to slow down Morris to much. But who knows.

Seems as though there should be better ways to spend the little money we have.

True but u also have to think about how much of a playmaker Reggie could be and a great change of pace to Morris he could be.

bush could help as a #2/outside/3rd down pass catcher. morris kinda destroys it between the tackles, which reggie is kinda terrible at, so it's not a bad idea.

I don't know about how much money he wants though.
