It's not the Oline scheme, it's the fact that our QB is not as fast as he was last year. He covered their deficiencies with speed. Also teams didn't realize how good Alf was, now they do. Bringing in Gibbs and Kubiak would do wonders for this team.
Its also the lack of talent to run the zbs. They are the rite size, but so was my 11th grade physics teacher. He just couldnt play football. |
Re: Choose Your 2014 Redskins Head Coach
To those of you who are actually around the team and know a bit more than me are there any names floating around as legitimate candidates at head coach?
Is shanny really on the hot seat or is this something everyone is making up due to the losses this year. I know personally i'd have to THINK he's on the hot seat, and after seeing Kubiak go down it makes sense other coaches could follow, but sitting out here in California i only know what the media feeds me and its BS. With Shannahans name being brought up a lot considering the Texans next head coaching job, does that prompt him to leave? If he had the open door there would he pass up his final year here and start fresh there? |
Re: Choose Your 2014 Redskins Head Coach
This duke team doesn't have the horses but they don't seem to care. They play hard and believe. Nice to see. Anyone know anything about Cutcliffe?

Manning loves him. He was working with him when those tapes came out i believe. i think he was at tennessee when manning was there. Turned duke around as well. He's a little old however and not sure if he has any pro experience at all. |

Re: Choose Your 2014 Redskins Head Coach
Jay Gruden is not my favorite option on this list, but he quickly becoming the best this organization can do. Snyder simply isn't going to have his choice of any coach in the country. Any coach who has a good current situation isn't going to do more than interview for the Redskins job. Limits the team to coordinators only, pretty much.

So is Bevell. |

Jay Gruden works for Mike Brown, so if he's offered the position here, I think he takes it. |

Why is everyone blaming Snyder now? He is paying Shanahan $7 million a year and expects better than a 3-10 record and embarrassing performances week after week. |

They are all to blame, but to change the culture cant have to owner going back to his old ways of having a open door policy with the superstar player. So yes Shanny has failed on making us a good franchise, but Synder under minded his ability to do that if all these rumors are true. So bottom line no coach is going to want to work for a boss who is going to undermine their authority. |

Yeah but he has stayed out of the picture and atleast let Shanahan try to do his job. That is what we all wanted from him. Not his fault Shanahan has completely lost any ability to coach a team. |

That may be true about his ability to not coach, but if the rumors are true Synder hasnt been out of the picture. |

Take the team back.
But he hasn't been a great beacon of strong ownership either. He's, by all accounts, an obstacle that needs to be worked around instead of through. |

Funny, all the talk down here in cowboy land last year was that Dallas/JJ should follow Washingtons lead in how to put together a winning team for ghe future.

The open door policy is with every player for starters. But it's naturally tighter with the superstar. It's the way it works. Everywhere. Always has been, always will be. |
