I dont know how you call him a bust considering at least 20 teams would trade their current QB for him right now.

We live in an age of click trolling, whether its PFT or bleacher report...its allllll about the ends folks.

I want RGIII to succeed, I absolutely think he will succeed, but the big fear is that if he doesn't, then this franchise will sink back into the quagmire of the 2000's. The fact that we haven't had long term stability at qb in like forever just sits out there.

Looks like Morgan is going to get some reps with the first stringers.

At this point I would be happy if you were getting reps on the right side!

Chester and Polumbus looked awful against Cleveland, I'd like to see what these rookies can do against starters.

I was extremely happy with his accuracy the other night and the way he moved. Had that burst. One ill advised pass, and the bad decisions on a couple of slides or lack there of. He is going to be just fine. I personally do not expect him to be elite this season (though he could be). If he has a solid year - say like top 15 type stuff - I will be extremely confident about our decision to draft him and what it cost.

You are right. Hence my strong argument the SOMETHING must be done to force Griff into safe sliding.

It would suck to finally have our guy, only to watch him self-destruct.

Some valid points here by Gruden, sometimes it's just not that easy when it comes to sliding

ESPN 980 - WASHINGTON D.C.

Jay Gruden seems to have as good of a grasp on the issue as anybody. A former quarterback himself knows some of the challenges Griffin faces. “Sometimes you have premier looks to slide and it's easy. Sometimes you're running at a 45-degree angle and you’ve got somebody chasing you from behind, somebody right here and you‘ve got somebody coming at that angle and sometimes it's hard to get your feet exactly underneath you for the perfect slide."

Dont doubt any of that but how come Griff seems to be the king of the awkward slide? Lol

Griff gives JC a good run for the title.

Maybe we need to bring back Zorn and the slip 'n slide.

Look at a guy like Nick Foles. He played in a new offense last year and had a great season. He's a 2nd or 3rd rounder? There's too much talent at the skill positions for RG3 not to have a great year. If Foles can do it then RG3 should be able to.

Either way I think JJ Watt's mouth is watering week one.

Only problem is that offensive line....

Part of that is getting rid of the ball, which hopefully he'll be better at. But Polumbus and Chester? I don't trust them.

agreed. and i hate to say it. prepare for some rg dipping and dodging followed by an awkward slide or a no slider. that or worse. i dont trust that line. wheres chris samuels when you need him.

I agree. He had bad timing last year. But if the Oline played like last year they will still be a mediocre team, if that.

A defense that will probably be lucky to be mediocre and an offensive line that might be even worst usually means the QB has to be elite in order to make that team relevant. We will see though what improvements they made.

Even Matt Ryan couldn't do that last year, but then again, he didn't have Alfred Morris or 3 great targets to throw to like RG will. No excuses for mediocrity this year. I don't think he'll be "elite" or even "great", but 4000 yards, 26 TDs, and 10 picks would be a definite success in my books.

I dont think Samuels would help the right side, but I pray Moses catches on with Godspeed and Griff doesnt get killed in week one.
