Re: Skins vs Jags Gameday Thread
Hell yeah. Lets not worry about injuries. Team looked good. We can beat the birds and put a whole new feel into this season.

When you drag the opposing quarterback around by the short hairs that happens. |
Re: Skins vs Jags Gameday Thread
If we could just figure out a way to play Jacksonville 14 more times.
Kerrigan with 4 sacks and 10 total. Not used to that from this defense.
Our best OLB by far. We should sign him to an extension. Not the other guy. Did the other guy do anything today? |
Re: Skins vs Jags Gameday Thread
I haven't looked at schedule who are we playing next week?

you mean 17 :) |
Re: Skins vs Jags Gameday Thread
2 things are for sure . . .
1. The Jags suck 2. Cousins played one hell of a game |
Re: Skins vs Jags Gameday Thread
Been a loooooooooong time coming. Injuries aside, GREAT game in all phases.
Super concerned about RG3, but haven't been able to enjoy a blowout in years. |

Yeah, its the Eagles next week. |
Re: Skins vs Jags Gameday Thread
Yeah, I said Cousins, but youre right Soup, the team played lights out all around. Too many penalties, but other than that we saw this team show up like it hasn't in I don't know how long. When did we last have a blowout like this? I mean, the late season playoff pushes of recent memory were exciting (read: heart attack giving), but we haven't played so well in all 3 phrases as long as I can remember. Maybe as far back as '99

Re: Skins vs Jags Gameday Thread
I feel bad for RG3 . . .
But I feel really good about being a Redskins fan today! |
Re: Skins vs Jags Gameday Thread
Feel real bad for RG3 as it looked like he was going to come out and play like he did in 2012. But this is EXACTLY why you keep KC on the team.

Yeah, thank God they didn't take some BS trade this offseason, his stock has at least doubled in one game. Let's hope there is an upward trend all season. |

What's, he not getting enough playing time? Sad that he has outscored my 3 WRs so far this week. |

Only two games come to mind. One against Detroit, and the Dallas Massacre on one of those late season playoff runs. |
Re: Skins vs Jags Gameday Thread
Griffin being out for a long time really takes the joy out of the win for me.
If Cousins can come in and win some games for us, great. I'll be as excited as anybody. But right now I'm basically looking ahead to the offseason. |
Re: Skins vs Jags Gameday Thread
Nice win, congratulations to Gruden on first Redskin victory. Now go do it again.

Re: Skins vs Jags Gameday Thread
Hard to believe that the 2nd game of the season has a make or break feel to it, but this one does. Getting a win today sets a nice tone going into the Philly game and playing for an early season claim to first place. Losing would put this team on its heels with Philly and Giants next (granted the Giants don't look sharp either).
IMO, the Skins should absolutely dominate this game from start to finish. Jacksonville is likely without Cyprien, and they are a good team, but with several weaknesses. That said, it's the Skins :(. Let's see if Gruden makes any substantial changes in play selection. And if our guys can hold onto the ball! Still waiting for a dominating start to finish win. If the Skins are serious to want to be a team in mix, this game ought to be one of those.
Man it was good to see a dominating performance. Looks like the Skins set a nice tone. Should be some excitement flowing for next weeks game. |
Re: Skins vs Jags Gameday Thread
By the sound of gruden press conference, don't expect rg3 back for at least several weeks.
That being said, can't deny cousins has looked better in gruden's offense than shanny's. I also think he has improved in his pocket awareness and the ball didn't sail today like I've seen in the past. I'm optimistic |
Re: Skins vs Jags Gameday Thread
was a fun day at the stadium today :)
by the number of people leaving with 10 minutes to go in the 4th you'd think this was a regular occurrence or something... |

You make it sound like the season is a flop already. That's as silly as the people saying the season was going to be a complete shit show last week just because RG3 sucked hard in the season opener. |
Re: Skins vs Jags Gameday Thread
^^ Pretty hilarious coming off a 41-10 win too.
|
Re: Skins vs Jags Gameday Thread
Kerrigan made the Pro Bowl on today alone.
