I did yard work most of the day but I did get to see most of the second quarter. I'm really not impressed with Jay offense at this point in the season. It doesn't resemble anything in cincy. At least the defense is the same shit I saw last year and I expect that from a coach that didn't deserve to comeback in the first place. Where the fuck is Jay offense?

Also, I wanted effing knock the shit out of that ref today. What a dickhead arrogant pos. I understand the reaction from Santana, that was horrible. When is that not td? in past Ive seen plays where that is a touchdown.

That's what the good ones do. Read the defense, check your receivers and throw. Kirk was good at it, but doesn't seem to have the mental toughness to shake off bad plays. RG seems to have a lot of struggles reading defenses and finding receivers. He misses a lot of read and holds onto the ball far too long. Colt seems to be able to find the receivers, his accuracy and arm strength are less than desirable. Colt is also really prone to turnovers.

But yes to answer your question, 3 or 5 step drop, make your throw or throw it away. If that's the way the play is designed then that's the way it should be executed.

What offense in the NFL is not based on timing? Thinking that any offense in the NFL isn't based on timing is kind of irrational.

The td call back on Griffin was the correct call. Shitty rule but the refs got it right. I'd be more worried about at happened after that. Moss is a dumbass. He should be cut. You're a vet and you should know better. Then you go scoreless in the 2nd half with more wr's running wide open and special teams issues. Not going win many games doing that. Same old Deadskins.

Disagree it was not a pass does not matter what happened to the ball once he was across the plane and reestablished possession, touchdown.

Yeah it was. I wasnt able to see it until just a few hours ago, but he clearly is fumbling the ball away as he crosses the line and by the time there is any control he is out of bounds. He never possessed the ball at or beyond the goal line.

The TD reversal changed the entire complexion of the game. I doubt if the NYG would have won if not for that bad call.....the defense did well against the NYG run game....but our leaky secondary continues to get scorched. Maybe it's the personnel. Amerson and Breeland got beat by Beckham.....

Agreed the call changed the game and was BS, since he had possesion as a RB before he crossed the plane of the goal line.

Counter factual, the lowly Bicarri Rambo, who was cut, by our Genius coach, just had a two interception game. So I disagree, the biggest problem on this team, is coaching, and the lack of having scheme to suite the players, combined with poor execution and stupid penalties, which are also signs of bad coaching.

It wasnt a TD. The refs were correct.

The problem is that Moss decided to be the dumbass he is and make a bad situation worse. His 30 or so yards of penalties tacked on to the kickoff made it certain NY would try an onside kick. Everyone knew it was coming and somehow the Skins still let NY get the ball. Once NY scored I knew the Skins would lose.

If I was the coach Moss wouldn't play this week vs Philly.

It doesn't matter what we think. The rule is once you lose control you have to re gain control all the way to the ground. It's like a catch. Griffin didn't do that. He was clearly juggling the ball. I think it's ridiculous but the game day ref explained it out clearly.

Anyway, no excuse to have a meltdown before you go into the lockeroom. Then not score a single point in the 2nd half. That ain't the 86 Giants defense. Also is there anyone on that sorry ass defense that can get a sack besides Kerrigan?

The fact that the ball shifted around means he didn't have control and when seen in slow motion it was pretty clear he didn't have control.

I agree its a BS rule but there are a lot of BS rules in the NFL.

Seriously, bs rule all the way. But they explained once you lose control of the ball BEFORE you cross the goalline, it's treated as a catch. He lost control of the ball once he hit the ground. The refs got it right on that one. No one on the Redskins knew what the actual real rule was.

Yup, that's the point. Bad calls happen all the time in the NFL. Players have to have their acts together enough so that they don't get thrown out of the game.

Moss and Garcon practically handed the Giants both a tying field goal and a handcuff on our offense throughout the second half. There is no excuse for this.

When did this garbage rule change? Is this a recent Goodell rule? In the past, this was a TD. Strahan said when he played, this was a touchdown all day long...?

He lost control the second time as he hit the ground so it wasnt because he lost control before he hit the ground. The way Triplett explained it was that since he lost control of the ball prior to crossing the goal line, in order to "regain possession", he had to follow the control through the ground part of the rules (which I personally thought only applied to receiving a pass and not a fumble but I guess not). Since he lost possession again as he hit the ground, it then basically reverts back to a fumble. In which case, RG3 was out of bounds the second time he regained possession which is the possession that gets ruled on.

Seems like a damn stupid rule, but if it is actually a rule, not much can be said.

edit: and you can just click on the 2nd video down to pause it, click again to continue. Griffin had two hands on the ball and didn't bobble as the ball crossed the goal line.

Just play the second video from the top on the link above, when they replay RG3's run, click to pause and continue right before the ball crossed the goal line, then watch all the way through.

Refs botched this one badly.

The only way I could validate this touchdown is to say that he had possession in bounds for 1/3 of a second.
And thats not enough.....I sure as hell would not have awarded six points to the opponent had it been them.

They botched a lot. Living in Giants country, I have had to hear all day about how good Odell Beckham is. And granted, he is something else. But all four of the penalties Breeland was called for yesterday were BS. Total BS. The refs were in love with Beckham yesterday and Breeland wasn't allowed to play defense.

No, most were on the O-line, they kept letting the pocket collapse over and over on Griffin.

Kirk was good at passing the ball to the other team, he was extremely accurate in passing to the opposing team defenders, lol.

Colt was also getting sacked a bunch in the past few games, maybe a few times less than RG3, but its not like he wasn't being harrassed.

No our problem was our weak O-Line play
