Wentz has some decent weapons around him. We have ???? Thompson but that’s it. Also Gruden couldn’t playcall his way out of a paper bag, week in and week out it’s 60 minutes of playing scared, predictable football.
Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk
We'll be drafting another WR this year. We have a potential WR1 in Doctson. Pryor isn't doing anything and Crowder is "just" slot receiver. Definitely need to spend a good pick on a dynamic 3 down back. I'm over Long and Lavaou. No nasty up front when we need it. Breeland is gone, hopefully Moreau is ready to start. Still going to need another DB. Foster can be upgraded. We need an explosive OLB. Kerrigan, Preston, Anderson, and Murphy are all the same. Jr. hasn't done shit. Need a true FS. Swearinger is a SS. Man, and there's more depth needed. Still have a lot of work to do on this roster. |
If KC played poorly then I'd have no problem blasting him. He didn't get much help tonight. The line was getting pushed around all night and he had zero running game. Even Gruden sucked shit with his bitch ass play calls on 3rd and 1.
This. We had a chance to send a message early, but he punked out. He Coaches scared or thinks he is still playing arena league. Possibly both. It is hard to tell. Just terrible. We have no wr’s or rb’s either. As for the defense- they still cannot get off the field on third down. If we go 8-8 this year I will be pleasantly surprised. |
Re: Skins @ Birds Gameday thread
Basically we are just like a lot of teams, average to slightly below average. It is what it is...

You'll never win anything in the NFL if that's the case. And that's always our case, it never changes. Different toilet, same shit. |

Up 10-3 near midfield and he can't convert 3rd and 1. That was the decisive momentum shift. Wentz makes a play in that spot.

Sent from my SAMSUNG-SM-G920A using Tapatalk
He's been better than I expected. But I want a bonafide stud at FS. Nicholson is definitely good depth at both S positions. |
Re: Skins @ Birds Gameday thread
Its so demoralizing to never be able to convert 3rd and 1s. I'd run the ball every fucking time for rest of season in that situation. Don't care if 11 guys are in box. It's about having a mind set that no matter what we're getting this yard on you. And it's coming down your neckhole.

It will be over next week when we get our asses handed to us by another division rival at home. Grudens next stop...the hot seat. |
Re: Skins @ Birds Gameday thread
If we lose to Cowboys, I'm losing my shit. Not winning in Seattle after that. So that would be 3-5.
|
Re: Skins @ Birds Gameday thread
more 2nd half woes. i can;t even fathom what i just saw right now but really, i expect nothing less from Gruden, and this team. Sad as fuck man.

Re: Skins @ Birds Gameday thread
Skins vs. Cowboys on Fox here. Saving money 2 weeks in a row. Too scared to watch in public.
|
Re: Skins @ Birds Gameday thread
Pryor is not the answer at WR after letting both Garcon and Jackson walk. I don't mind if Gruden limits his snaps until Pryor gets a clue. Josh Doctson and Ryan Grant are clearly more reliable.

I put those 3rd and more on Gruden. If he wants to be in gun then you have to make the defense respect the QB on the read option, the back on the run and a slant. I saw none of that. |

Re: Skins @ Birds Gameday thread
Swearinger had a bad, bad game. Need to have Nsekhe back soon, he’s missed badly.
|
Re: Skins @ Birds Gameday thread
Swearinger can not cover and that's been the knock on him. The Eagles exposed him. Their guys won one on one matchups, our guys didn't.

Yeahhhh, he gave up a crucial long range completion and let Ertz waltz in for a touchdown. Not his best game. Its times like this you realize how vital Norman is to the defense. |
Re: Skins @ Birds Gameday thread
Also, love Dunbar's enthusiasm but for god damn sake he needs to learn to look back at the ball when they target him. Everything else I don't have a problem with, but that shit is one 50+ yard PI call away from me calling him a worthless shit.

Re: Skins @ Birds Gameday thread
Week 8 and I've already given up on the division and now have to move on to monitoring every NFC team for Wild Card.
Eagles went from nothing to 6-1. When was the last time we were ever 6-1 or close to it? So annoying that other teams take these big leaps, and our big leap is going 17-14-1 over 2 years. |
Re: Skins @ Birds Gameday thread
Basically we are just like a lot of teams, average to slightly below average. It is what it is...
You nailed it!! The front office is to blame for all this. We can't let Both top WR'S go at same time, failure to recognize if we do that we need a stud RB and we don't get it. The whole Cousins situation reminds me of something the cleveland Browns would do. Factor in just plain bad luck with the injuries and we are 8-8 at best and go into off season without a QB (Cousins is leaving and can't wait to get away from this mess..) The Eagles are the real deal with maybe best young QB in league Dallas has a good QB situation..what do we have long term? Thanks Front office! Am I wrong ?? |
Re: Skins @ Birds Gameday thread
I honestly think Cousins is the best QB we've had in forever, and if we had signed him when he was affordable, than this team would have had a real shot at a title or two, but at this point even if we sign him long term we won't be able to build a team around him that is good enough to beat Wentz and quite possibly Prescott. We would have a better chance building depth on our lines and getting some WRs and a RB, and having a serviceable veteran that is affordable until we find another young QB with talent.

https://streamable.com/nw67x
Yep, new year same stuff happens. Like many have said we are cursed. We get a "sure thing QB" he has an amazing rookie yr brings life to the fan base and he turns into glass man. Kirk is much better but still u get the point. Then we draft a big time WR from tcu and he can't stay healthy. Draft a "star" DT this yr and he goes down for the year. The redskins are cursed man, we'll F up the cousins deal and he'll leave. That is just our luck. Sent from my SAMSUNG-SM-G920A using Tapatalk |
Re: Skins @ Birds Gameday thread
Bottom line is Wentz really was the difference last night. He broke our defense. Swearinger for all his leadership got exposed. He can't cover at all. Neither can Foster.
Also Gruden sucked last night, as he did at the end of the SF game. He didn't do anything to stop the 3rd down blitz. It was like he wasn't expecting it at all. Why are doing drop back plays on 3rd and 1? Did we throw one deep pass to the wr's? Pryor may be useless but he's big and tall. Give him and Doc some jump balls. Maybe you get some PI's. |
Re: Skins @ Birds Gameday thread
People keep complaining about Garçon and Jackson being gone. I’m complaining about Ike Hilliard not developing our young WR’s, need a better WR coach.
|
Re: Skins @ Birds Gameday thread
Ryan fucking Grant is not a starter and Pryor is a free agent bust...we need to move on from both.
We need a starting RB...Rob Kelly is nice, so is Perine but both are not starters. |
Re: Skins @ Birds Gameday thread
I echo the frustration - the Eagles trade up to two and get what appears to be a MVP candidate by his second season. We trade up to two and get a fraud.
We never get to make the leap. It's disheartening. Eagles are the real deal and figure to be so until Wentz gets an extension and it gets hard to pay everybody. Until then they're a force to be reckoned with. |

He’s been responsible for 2 of our wins. We need a new WR coach to develop people like Pryor, Doctson and Crowder, a Torian Gray for WR’s. |

If Jay is sitting Pryor and Pryor is healthy, it's because Pryor can't do it. @JReidESPN Pryor thing is a problem. Front office didn't do Kirk any favors. If you're gonna let Garçon and Jackson walk, gotta get him a proven guy. Pryor was a huge mistake. That's the norm with this team. Huge mistakes. I guess the positive in this is that he was only signed for a 1 year deal. At least we've got that going for us. |

This is the truth. There is practically no problem we have now that wasn't created by Snyder ignoring and then forcing out of the organization competent player personnel executives and coaches. |

Bruce is just a puppet; someone for Dan to hide behind because he is so unpopular. But like I said in a previous post everything is gamble especially with personal. Oh well, we win next week we are 4 and 3; you can build off that. |

As infuriating as last night's game was, (and trust me, when you stay up until 6am so see this, you're infuriated), it's just a loss in a game where we were the clear underdog. The team that beat the Raiders and the Rams and could've beaten the Chiefs is still here. |
Re: Skins @ Birds Gameday thread
I like how their QB is stronger than our front 7 players. Do the Redskins have a weight room and stength & conditioning program? Looks like they send them to the local gym to mess around and do some curls.
We're an 8-8 type team. Those teams always have a few games a year they look good but just as many games where they don't. There are definitely some plays we left on the field. But our coverage talent got exposed. More huge plays and 3rd down conversions. And Gruden was terrible last night. That's the type coaching people want you fired for. We make 3rd and 1 look like 3rd and 21. |
