Does it really even matter? I don't give a shit what it is as long as he's not giving the wrong impression to his players.

Also yes, I'd be much more concerned about this if it wasn't 98% guaranteed they're going to fire him sometime between Sunday night and Jan 2nd.

As it is, this looks like a classic tarnish-the-rep move before they can him. Why else are there horseshit media reports floating around like "Jay Gruden doesn't like Adrian Peterson, Jay Gruden didn't want Dwayne Haskins and now video of Jay Gruden smoking and macking on some girl."

I hope Jay is fired after the Redskins get CRUSHED by the Patriots. He wants to be fired and is doing everything in his power to be let go so he can be the OC with the Raiders. He’s doing ridiculous things, like starting a QB with only a few reps since he was hurt last year. Is Colt even recovered from his injury? He just wants Dan Snyder to cut him.

Snyder needs to cut Gruden, Manusky and Bruce Allen immediately. But I think Gruden will be the sacrificial lamb on Monday.

We're the only team who has had one coach design the run game and Smith design the pass. The average fan on the couch could list reasons that's stupid.

Those pics can be deceiving, though. I saw similar pics and videos per Cowboys fans in New Orleans last week. Rest assure, it wasn't more Dallas fans at the game than Saints fans.

Regardless, the Redskins faithful are likely dwindling each season.

We always hear winning cures everything, well last season this team was 6-3 and top of the division and people still weren't going. The FO has lost so much capital with the fanbase it is sad.

That may have been the worst 6-3 team in the history of the league. They were basically outgained 2 to 1 by a Bucs team lead by Fitzpatrick.

Twitter was blowing up last night from a post made by a guy who said his brother was at a bar last night and they ran into Jay Gruden. Jay was having a nice time and then left to take a phone call, the phone call allegedly was someone telling him he had been fired.

Still, other beat guys were saying that Jay had been fired in the immediate aftermath of the game, but it was unclear when the redskins were going to officially announce it.

I agree with you, it seems weird to announce it at 5:45 AM on a monday morning.

Since I started this thread, perhaps I should end it. The consensus of most sports writers is that the firing of Jay Gruden should have happened after last season. He was forced to play and coach on a game-by-game basis instead of having an overall strategy for the season.

After listening to Bruce Allen it is clear to me that Dan Snyder NOR Bruce Allen DO NOT have an overall strategy or plan for the team except to “WIN NOW”. By not recognizing that the team needs to change its corporate culture, the team REGARDLESS of who is HEAD COACH, is just doomed for failure. Dan Snyder nor his lackey BA seems capable of learning from their mistakes or failures.

Jay Gruden joins and ever growing list of Redskin HC, who failed to thrive here. Dan Snyder simply does not understand that HE HIMSELF is the main reason for all the HC’s failing over the last 20 years. He may find a promising HC for next season from outside the organization, or more likely from within it (such as O’Connell) but they too will fail, because Snyder will continue to exert control of the team either directly or through the use of his lackey, Team President, Bruce Allen. Allen may be the most delusional leader since the Iraqi General who said the American’s weren’t in Baghdad. After we go, 1-15, Allen won’t be able to say, “damn-good” team culture. “One player away from the playoffs”.
