Not a big COVID story but I enjoyed this read about this former NYPD officer (who just passed from COVID) that saved MLK Jr's life back in 1958. Just imagine coming to work and you end up saving the life of one of the most influential people of the last 100 years.

RIP Al Howard.

Hopefully it goes viral and we get a Trump tweet saying this video is fake news and he gives us a detailed explanation of how all the different suits he's wearing means it's fake.

Heard a rumor (that I totally didn't just make up on the spot), Trump is in the middle of rewriting the pledge of allegiance to weed out anybody who isn't dedicated to his cause.

I pledge allegiance, to MAGA, and the United States of Trump. And to the Republic, for which it stands, one nation, under Trump, divided, with liberty and justice for those who support our cause.

Tucker per the usual is right here. U wouldn’t see this coverage on msnbc when Abrams made similar claims in Georgia and your not seeing the same coverage in NC as the same arguments are being made currently by dnc.

I’d say do the recounts and certify the results. Also, if ballots were found to be illegal either by date or other abnormalities that don’t meet the requirement set by the law...then they should be removed immediately and taken out the count.

It’s fucking ridiculous some races haven’t been called. It’s been a train wreck from day 1 because of Covid which lead to this absolute shit show which is vote by mail.

For those who say it wouldn’t matter, we have already seen races called and then had those calls removed....and in one case seen a winner declared and then after the count, it was run and the other person was declared winner.

Local elections have been affected...more could be affected if ballots were counted which should not have been. It’s insane to think everything has gone well.

USA TODAY Entertainment
Tucker Carlson gives 'update' after segment on Sidney Powell, voter fraud draws backlash
Charles Trepany, USA TODAY
Sat, November 21, 2020, 12:28 AM EST
Tucker Carlson has issued an "update" after a segment on his Fox News show about voter fraud allegations drew backlash.

On Thursday night, Carlson delivered a monologue in which he discussed President Donald Trump's attorney Sidney Powell and her claims that rigged voting software switched millions of votes from Trump to Joe Biden in the 2020 election.

According to Carlson, Powell refused to send him evidence supporting her claims, despite multiple requests from "Tucker Carlson Tonight."

"When we kept pressing, she got angry and told us to stop contacting her," Carlson said in the Thursday segment. "When we checked with others around the Trump campaign, people in positions of authority, they told us Powell has never given them any evidence either, nor did she provide any today at the press conference."

Earlier this month, a national coalition announced there is no evidence that any voting software deleted or changed votes in the election, per USA TODAY. The security group — which includes the Department of Homeland Security's Cybersecurity and Infrastructure Security Agency and the National Association of State Election Directors — described the election as "the most secure in American history."

"There is no evidence that any voting system deleted or lost votes, changed votes, or was in any way compromised," the coalition concluded.

Carlson's comments drew backlash from Trump's supporters online, who argued Powell is saving her evidence for court rather than revealing it to the media first.

The Fox News host later updated his statement on Powell, in a clip shared to his Twitter account Friday.

"An update on our reporting on Sidney Powell’s voter fraud investigation," he wrote. "Watch."

In the clip, Carlson said that Powell's refusal to provide evidence does not mean her claims are false.

"It doesn't mean it didn't happen," he said. "It might have happened. It means they haven't seen any evidence that it happened. And by 'they,' we are including other members of Donald Trump's own legal team."

Carlson also brought up that Powell has "suggested we may not have to wait much longer" for evidence

Chris Christie calls Trump legal team a 'national embarrassment'

Former New Jersey Gov. Chris Christie had harsh words for President Trump’s legal team as it pursues its increasingly quixotic quest to overturn the November election.

“Quite frankly, the conduct of the president’s legal team has been a national embarrassment,” Christie said Sunday on ABC’s “This Week.”

Trump lost the Nov. 3 election to President-elect Joe Biden, but has launched a series of lawsuits seeking to claim victory in states narrowly won by the Democrat. But the cases have been largely dismissed, and judges have consistently rejected Trump’s claims of widespread voter fraud.

Re: Election Day Thread - Nov. 3, 2020

No loser in the Presidential race has ever won even a small percentage of these election law suits. Hillary Clinton didn’t and neither will Trump.

Trump gas no one to blame for losing this election EXCEPT HIMSELF. It is highly unusual for a second-term President to lose. Only lousy Presidents like Jimmy Carter have lost in their second term race.

Trump completely mishandled the COVID crisis. The path forward at the beginning of the COVID pandemic was very simple: declare the pandemic as a wartime crisis and treat it as such. Trump started out correctly by banning flights from China, but then just fumbled the ball after that. First of all he needed to make a military man or retired military man as the COVID 19 “CZAR”. Instead he picked Pence. Nothing against Pence, but when has he ever led a large organization that is continually racked by crises, losses, time crunches, etc. All the critical issues a gifted military general has faced before. FDR had Marshall, Lincoln eventually had Grant, etc. All Trump had to do was provide this Covid CZAR with people and resources and be the cheer leader for these efforts.

By declaring this pandemic as a war-like crisis he would rise above politics and the American people would support this effort as it did with Lincoln, Wilson and FDR. Eventually COVID 19 will kill more American’s than WWII (over 400,000). Trump totally mishandled this crisis and lost the election because of it!

(Reuters) -A federal appeals court on Friday rejected an attempt by U.S. President Donald Trump's campaign to block President-elect Joe Biden from being declared the winner of Pennsylvania, dealing another significant setback to Trump's bid to overturn the Nov. 3 election.

"Free, fair elections are the lifeblood of our democracy. Charges of unfairness are serious. But calling an election unfair does not make it so," wrote Stephanos Bibas on behalf of a three-judge panel.

"Charges require specific allegations and then proof. We have neither here," wrote Bibas, who was nominated by trump

Trump must be happy too, whatever he spent for the recount is probably dwarfed by the amount donated by patriots to his "election defense" fund. He makes money/pays off his other debts and still gets to cry fraud. Win/win.
