Re: 2021 NFL Draft Day!!
Another great pick for Washington!
Dyami Brown was a Round 2 receiver. He's capable of being a Deebo Samuel-type receiver. Very good YAC ability. Four picks. Four home runs. Matt Miller |

We certainly are a fast team. That is for sure. On both sides of the ball.

Seriously... except a second TE, and admitting Cosmi is ready to start as our LT... do you guys see a legit hole in our roster ?

Long snapper? Kidding ... kinda. Safety. Unless someone moves there. Linebacker depth. It wouldn't hurt my feelings if we snagged another one, honestly. Jabril Cox perhaps? And this may sound silly, but we need to replace Kerrigan (assuming he finds a home elsewhere) .... So an edge rusher for depth there. |

QB,FS,OLB,OLB,b-up RB that can take it to the house, big WR that can actually stay healthy and produce in red zone especially, elite talent on O anywhere, b-up TE. I think we are much improved from old suckfest days, but gimmie a break with the Kool Aid LOL. If we can get consistent 4-quarter production from O we could be much improved, as our D becomes even more of a monster and can be more aggressive. We still only have 1 truly elite player, Chase Young. SB caliber teams usually have 3-6, including QB. Without an elite QB, none of it really matters though in terms of winning SB. Still we are much improved. Our FO was competent, which is a miracle compared to days of old, but whether it is brilliant remains to be seen. We reached for need quite a bit. |
Re: 2021 NFL Draft Day!!
Dyami Brown is my favorite pick so far. I would have been happy with him in the 2nd.
This offense is gonna fuck around and be exciting this year. Gonna look a lot different. Love this pick. B. Jordan still available. That would be sick. |

I'd be in favor of bringing KJ Wright on a 1yr deal or Kwon Alexander if the achille is ok. And some help at safety would be welcomed. But I wouldn't call Holcomb-Davis-Bostic and Curl-Reaves legit roster holes. You can start games with those guys. Envoyé de mon SHV48 en utilisant Tapatalk |

Logan Thomas and Wes Schweitzer ended up being real nice surprises. But before the season started those were worrying roster holes. I don't see that on our roster this year. Yeah as really need to be in the filling up the gaps. And the holes there. As losing Kerrigan is such a very much a huge hole that needs to be that. Filled

That's 5 picks we have 4. Fortunately, FO has no choice but to go BPA in 7th round or won't make team. :-) Man you'd hope there is at least 1 QB we like somewhere, but seems like FO just going to let it ride. FS is the one absolutely gaping hole on roster, true high center fielder. A good LB could easily start on this team. Good stuff. |

Look at the final four this year Tampa, Green Bay, Buffalo and KC all had issues. Tampa probably most complete team but hey when you fall as backwards into the GOAT at a bargain price and then he convinces his freak of nature friend to unretire that really helps. Re: 2021 NFL Draft Day!!
The more I read about T Cosmi the better I feel about the pick.
At first I was a little surprised and maybe disappointed. However I read Cosmi is an excellent athlete with size. His PFF pass pro scores are good. Cosmi ran the fastest 40-yard dash for an offensive lineman at his pro day. He ran the 40 in 4.84 seconds. Seems like a guy that with help from John Matsko, will develop over time. Cosmi played HS ball in Texas and College ball in UT, so he has played against top level competition. |
Re: 2021 NFL Draft Day!!
Solid picks in positions of need.
I disagree with the analysts saying QB is an immediate need. It is not for this season. Long-term, yes, but we're good with the trio we have now, especially Fitz. Offense starting to look scary too...so deep at WR and I don't know who to cut. I feel AGG needs a shot in a normal season, rookies were at a disadvantage last year with no preseason. Wright and Harmon deserve to stay. Sims, Jr. is gone, especially with that return specialist from Houston we signed. Either LB Jabrill Cox or TE Brevin Jordan needs to be our next pick! I can't believe they're both still available. Real bummer we could have had JOK as the Browns took him just after us, but Coach Rivera clearly has a plan to fill holes and is sticking to it. Refreshing to see. |

Cosmi played HS ball in Texas and College ball in UT, so he has played against top level competition.
Read THIS: (bolded) Washington Football Team selected Texas OT Samuel Cosmi with the No. 51 overall pick in the 2021 NFL Draft. Cosmi (6’7/310), ranked outside the top-100 OTs in his recruiting class by the 247Sports composite, vastly exceeded expectations in college as a three-year starter and two-time All-Big 12 selection. Cosmi played LT and RT in Austin, and comes with more than enough athleticism to be a potential option on the left side in the NFL. Cosmi tested as the second-most athletic RAS tackle to enter the NFL since 1987. Cosmi's 40 (4.87), broad jump (9’9), short shuttle (4.39) and bench (36) all ranked top-15 all-time for tackles. Cosmi moves like a tight end and has plenty of upper-body pop, with a veteran's understanding of his assignments. But hip stiffness causes Cosmi to play too high, which can sap him of power and teeter his balance. And with 33-inch arms (same as Rashawn Slater), Cosmi doesn’t have the reach his height suggests. Opponents erase Cosmi’s athletic and strength advantages when they win the leverage battle and get him on his heals, which K'Lavon Chaisson did in the 2019 opener. We see Cosmi similarly to Taylor Decker, a former first-rounder who’s been an above-average player his entire four-year NFL career, if never dominant. Envoyé de mon SHV48 en utilisant Tapatalk
Agreed, and what we have to also account for is how much the improvements we've made not only improve their positions, but also the positions around them. 3 good WR = forcing defenses to decide who to double, leaving 1 or both the other guys more open (+Thomas). Improve OL = less pressure on passing game and defense (longer drives etc.). Better run D (LB and DB) = more opportunities to pressure pass offenses and get turnovers. But it also improves the players. With better corners and LBs around him, the whole DL and Holcombe should improve. Better corners means the Ss should look better (especially if we pick up a FS starter this weekend). Dangerous WRs to complement him means McL should look even better, and it won't hurt Thomas either especially if we get a TE. For me if we pick up FS, TE, LB and OL with the remaining picks I'd be happy. Even a QB. |

I wouldn't oppose to the idea of signing Tre Boston after the draft. Although I wonder if WFT is content with Reaves as a starter? Granted, Reaves has a small sample (only a few games) but he was ranked as 5th best safety in the NFL for all games he played. It's weird how this worked out for Reaves - he was on practice squad for a while, got cut, resigned and then finally got a chance to play after Apke got benched and Everette got injured, and then all of sudden he played well. |

Re: 2021 NFL Draft Day!!
Based on who is available now in the 4th, the talent match to need is not good. Its basically a special teams play. We wont fill our FS, TE or QB needs based on what is out there, therefore, I'd go for the last player that could poentially start for us, Jabril Cox ILB. I dont know what it would take for us to move up 19 spots to take him, guessing our 5th rounder, but based on the dearth of talent and our LB needs, I would do it immediately. Anyone know the cost to move up?

I think are glaring needs are taken care of. Quarterback was always going to be next offseason/draft (unless we got lucky) pending on Fitz and or Heineken doing whatever they are going to do this year. TE is not glaring because LT will only continue to master his craft. Yes we need another but I would not call second TE a glaring need. Brevin Jordan would certainly fill that need though imo. Watched every game he played in college. He is really good. Not a great blocker. FS is probably an issue. Who knows maybe Collins will earn a paycheck finally? To move up 19 in the fourth- yeah our 5th rounder would get that done I believe. |
