Youtube is BS! I thought about getting the Sunday Ticket and YoutubeTV package then cancel the monthly subscription after June and then resubscribe for YoutubeTV in Sept. But the fine prints stated that I must keep the monthly subscription active from now until end of NFL season to qualify for the $250 deal. I would end up paying a lot more than $350 if I go with this avenue..
I believe YouTube TV is one of the most expensive live TV stream services out there. I'm surprised they're not even enticing people with some type of discount for their monthly subscription price. |

I like Hurts, except for 2 days a year. He's a great dude (and not because of a Master's Degree).

Re: Around the NFL - 2023 Offseason Thread
Of course the Defenders go 10-1 then lose a championship to a team that was 5-6. A D.C. football team couldn't win a championship in a 2 team league, if both teams played in D.C. LOSERVILLE!

Fuck Hurts and the Eagles.
That is all. |

I wouldn't mind just eliminating them altogether. But that is the next best option imo. And I'm also totally fine w/ above. |

I've watched zero snaps of the XFL so what did they do? |

Start both sides way closer instead of basically a running headstart for the "defense". [YT]iNkpLQtcIH4&t=9s[/YT] |
Re: Around the NFL - 2023 Offseason Thread
That would be a weird change, only because I haven't seen that before BUT I can see how that would dramatically decrease the chance of getting injured during the kickoffs.
|
Re: Around the NFL - 2023 Offseason Thread
I'd be okay with the elimination of them. The two minute breaks between touchdowns and kick offs and the 1-2 minutes after a kick off add up. This is just me being selfish but I would love for an NFL game to average no more than 3 hours in length.

Yeah I really love the changes MLB made to speed things up, now games run about 2.5 hours which is perfect. |

DHop a free agent:
https://www.espn.com/nfl/story/_/id/37734842/cardinals-release-wr-deandre-hopkins-three-seasons I really hope he goes to an AFC team. Sounds like he wants to: "On a recent appearance on the “I Am Athlete” podcast, free-agent WR DeAndre Hopkins listed the five QBs he’d most like to catch passes from: the Bills’ Josh Allen, the Eagles’ Jalen Hurts, the Chiefs’ Patrick Mahomes, the Ravens’ Lamar Jackson and the Chargers’ Justin Herbert." |

Yep, just bought it yesterday. Based on the fine prints, it looks like it's going to cost $450 to buy Sunday Ticket next year... |

Vikings are expected to release Cook shortly.. There were rumors going on for a while but I'm surprised they are going to release him. Mattison isn't even on Cook's level.

$9m isn't that significant, in my opinion. It will be tough to replace Cook's talents. |

Re: Around the NFL - 2023 Offseason Thread
Regarding Cook being released, appears to be done for 3 reasons:
1) Minny thinks Alexander Mattison is ready to take over the starting spot. 2) Too many negative plays. O'Connell's offense isn't down with that. 3) Salary cap 4 straight seasons over 1,000 yards and still got released. Only 27. Craziness. |

cook is still a really good player but not at 10 million, or whatever it was.
Clearly no team does want to pay rbs. 4 straight seasons over 1,000 yds and only 27 years old. Playmaker. O'Connell wanted more of a back that's not going for the big play all the time. |

https://www.espn.com/nfl/story/_/id/38020269/agent-jaguars-franchised-te-evan-engram-reach-3-year-deal
The New York Giants drafted Engram 23rd overall in 2017 and he caught 262 passes for 2,828 yards and 16 touchdowns in five seasons. He said he wanted a fresh start and felt that signing with the Jaguars last offseason would give him a chance to put up some good numbers in coach Doug Pederson's tight end-friendly offense. Ouch |
