Donald Trump Mocks Jimmy Carter on His Milestone 100th Birthday

Donald Trump mocked fellow former President Jimmy Carter during a campaign speech on his predecessor's historic 100th birthday.

Trump, 78, brought up the 39th president of the U.S. while speaking at a manufacturing facility in Waunakee, Wis., on Tuesday, Oct. 1, according to PBS.

After calling President Joe Biden the worst president in U.S. history, Trump told the crowd, “Jimmy Carter is the happiest man because Jimmy Carter is considered a brilliant president by comparison,” according to The Daily Beast and USA Today.

Trump's comment about the Carter legacy was made as other Republican leaders put aside partisanship to honor the longest-living president's centennial birthday, which came more than 19 months after he entered hospice care in February 2023.
There is no limit to the level of A-hole for this man. And he has a damned good chance of winning the Presidency. We are so broken as a country.

Walz appeals to me as the only progressive of the four but he definitely was owned by Vance. There really is no difference between Harris and Vance as they are both soft money whores for corporations. Trump is to but he sets himself apart as trying to dismantle our democracy via a false elector scam.

Nether one was impressive but Walz made Vance look stupid at the end. Walz wasn't my pick but he is head and shoulders above Vance.

It's him being a progressive that may cost her the election. It undermines her ability to present herself as more moderate. And boy you must be very far left.

You really don't need to be "far left" to understand that creating fake electors to try to steal an election is wrong and most definitely undermines our democracy. And of course illegal. But it's apparent that the law means nothing to the Trump supporters.

And what has that to do with the price of tea in China? The comment was that Walz being progressive is what may cost Harris the election (May - not will) and a comment on Baltimoreskins, given his criticism of Harris, as being on the very extreme left - Jill Stein or Amy Goodman territory.

I guess I view left as relative. I prefer to think I will vote for you if you are the right person for the job. (I voted Hogan twice, I voted Chris West our State Senator and Wade Kach our County council all Republicans because while I might not agree with them on every issue I appreciate some of what they have done). For the President for me that is they have to make civil liberties a priority over corporate interests. I have voted for Jill Stein. I did not in 2020 because she did the bat shit crazy anti vaxxer thing to cater to the home schooling hippies. Prior I voted Ralph Nader. Basically if you were interested in the rights of the worker and those whose voice is drowned because we decided having money = having a voice.

This article highlights the problem the Dems refuse to see (which will continue if they win). Both parties need a massive course correction, but whoever wins won't make that correction.

"....We are three weeks out from Election Day and one thing has become clear: Trump might actually win.

A Trump win would raise a lot of questions for Republicans. He's an objectively bad candidate who doesn't represent conservatism well.

However, it would raise even more questions for Democrats. How could they have lost to such a uniquely awful opponent.......

...In the past couple of decades, the Democratic Party has built its foundation around far-left ideas. If Trump wins reelection, it will be yet another indication that much of the nation has rejected such progressive policies.""

I believe Trump will win. I believe there are a ton of voters who are voting on nothing more than the price of eggs. They are too stupid and uninformed to understand that post COVID inflation was a global problem and not specific to the US. They probably can't stand the guy but have been convinced that the country was better under Trump based entirely on their grocery bill.

So they will hold their nose and vote for Donald Trump and their vote counts as much as mine does.

Trump won 56% of the popular vote in Kansas in 2020. So to "save" the above votes you would then need to "incinerate" the majority of Kansas votes. The Electoral College is the only thing that gives Kansas as a state any voice at all.

Populists use divisive them versus us tactics, resort to making promises to address acute or short term needs of a group of people (which is why populists are usually Dems in the US) that often are detrimental to the long term interests of those same people and the country as a whole. This MAGA version is isolationist, xenophobic nationalist, anti-immigration (problem is it includes legal immigration), is opposed to free trade and opposed to entitlement reform for entitlements benefiting to their group (In this case social security).

This is an Opinion piece I agree with.

from just this week alone!

https://news.yahoo.com/news/opinion-trump-said-many-stupid-080339071.html

Trump started off the week at a town hall in Pennsylvania moderated by South Dakota Gov. Kristi Noem. Early on in the night, two supporters needed medical personnel. His response?

Trump told his crew to play the music "nice and loud".

Then, for 39 minutes, Trump swayed while his favorite songs played. The playlist included “Nothing Compares 2 U” by Sinead O’Connor, “Y.M.C.A.” by Village People and “It’s a Man’s Man’s Man’s World” by James Brown. He walked off the stage to “November Rain” by Guns N’ Roses. “Memory” from the musical “Cats” rounded out the night.

At 78, Trump would be the oldest president in our nation’s history – something that becomes more apparent every day. He doesn’t seem to think it’s an issue.

The next day, when talking about his Supreme Court nominees with Bloomberg at the Economic Club of Chicago, Trump made a comment about the age of his appointees.

“You tend to put them in young,” Trump said. “Only stupid people put old."

Trump jokes about family of Georgia woman who died because of abortion ban
Right before a Fox News town hall in Georgia, he joked about the family of Amber Thurman, a 28-year-old woman who died after doctors delayed necessary care due to the state's six-week abortion ban. To Trump, that's an acceptable punchline.

"Amber Thurman’s family have come out on a press call, and they’re doing what’s called a prebuttal to our town hall right now," Fox News host Harris Faulkner told Trump before the event began.

"Oh, that’s nice," he said. “We’ll get better ratings, I promise.”
It shouldn't have to be said, but death should never be a joke.
It's especially vile when you remember that the overturning of Roe v. Wade happened because of Trump − something he has bragged about on the campaign trail.

He has repeatedly tried to obscure his record on abortion rights. At the same Fox News town hall, that extended to in vitro fertilization, a practice that has come into question in the post-Roe era.

“I’m the father of IVF, so I want to hear this question,” Trump said when asked about the procedure. No, no one is really sure what he means by that.

Trump previously expressed support for in vitro fertilization in the wake of the Alabama Supreme Court decision that threatened it. The Republican Party could do something about it, but no: A bill to protect access to the procedure is stalled in Congress.

Trump continues spewing lies and hate about immigrants
During his interview with Bloomberg Editor-in-Chief John Micklethwait, Trump doubled down on his claim that a Venezuelan gang has taken over an apartment complex in Aurora, Colorado, despite the mayor calling this story “grossly exaggerated.”
Then, on Wednesday, he would not take back his false claims about Haitian migrants in Springfield, Ohio, eating pets when asked about it during a town hall for Latino voters hosted by Univision.

“I was just saying what was reported, that's been reported – and eating other things too, that they're not supposed to be,” Trump said.

These stories are harmful to the communities they purport to be about. It is shameful that Trump and his running mate, Sen. JD Vance of Ohio, refuse to apologize for spreading these falsehoods.

No matter where Trump goes, he says something awful. We as a country deserve better than an overgrown, spoiled oligarch who can't stop spouting hate.

This man is a moron, how smart intelligent people can follow this moron is a mystery , these people are idiots it is a cult, a dangerous one.
