So the Green New Deal is officially dead (for this session of Congress at least). Manchin stated he was a no. Big victory for McConnel as he maneuvered this outcome. Unfortunately for McConnel, the populist faction of the Republican party (Trumpers) are too stupid to realize he was behind the defeat of this legislation.

Well Joe Manchin just went on Fox News and said he is a firm no on Joe Biden socialism bill.

Gotta be honest, I’m a lil surprised they got nothing.

Man Manchin has the kingmaker power right now. If he could translate it to moving compromise legislation through - bypassing hardliners on both sides - that would be awesome.

Privately Senator Sinema has been telling people it’s not just her and Manchin who are opposed to #BuildBackBetter — many of their Democrat colleagues are opposed as well, but afraid to speak up. She tells them they’re “hiding behind her skirt.”

Biden hasn’t governed like a moderate, that’s why he’s been a disaster. The folks in charge of the administration aren’t really good at this.

Puh lease. There is not one iota of socialism in there. The only thing it is is an incredibly rich country with plenty of money deciding what they are going to prioritize. Joe Manchin has proven time and again he cares nothing for the people of his state or country unless it benefits him. I don't see how you can praise him for his personal gains at the expense of our country and then with a straight face criticize others.
