Funny that I haven't heard a pip about JC not doing well in camp today. It's the third day peeps, chill the f' out and let the guy play.

Agreed. I think JC having one bad practice isn't necessarily a bad thing. QB's have off days. He'll be fine. Apparently he looked crisp and decisive on Thursday and Friday, so it's not like he can't do it. If it continues, I'll be concerned. I doubt it will.

Today(Or yesterday, since it is no longer Aug 1) was a [B]very[/B] bad day for the O-line. That probably explains why all the QBs didn't have great days.

This was definitely part of it. Samuel's was having the devil's own day with Orakpo and Haynesworth was giving two men all they could handle every time. Andre Carter was also coming free a couple of times.

In terms of Campbell's performance, I'm totally chill. I think he's the best QB we have. I just don't think he had a paricularly good day, even when you take the O-line into account. Remember that the pass rushers run past and play continues, so even when the O-line got blown it was still basically a 7 on 7 drill.

not that i'm concerned but thur. and fri. was in shorts. the first time jason had live action coming at him, he did not perform well.

I consider that to be outstanding news, especially the Orakpo part! I know the OL struggled. But the D is always ahead of the O on the first day in pads and we know folks like Samuels will get it together. To me, the salient point of your helpful description is that the D was so dominant - not just good, as expected - but dominant.

Our first 3 pre-season games are against some of the toughest defenses in the league. These should be a good gauge for our offense but I'm nervous about the injury risk factor. I'am I being a nervous nelly?

He had a tough 2 min drill today. One ran out of time and the other he threw a int. And in the QB drills he was knocked down by a barrage of pads. Its still early, we will see how it goes come preseason. Hopefully our defense is JUST THAT GOOD.

I went to the TC yesterday and today. I have been extremely optimistic in the off-season, to say the least. These two days kinda brought me back to reality. I am still upbeat and excited, but now, not quite as much. I don't know what the coaches were trying to accomplish, but during the 2 minute drills today, I never saw any long shots, even as the clock ticked down. They had the lineup we/I want to see, Moss/DT/ARE. in the 2minute you have to take atleast one shot, whether its there or not. But the receivers never even came close to the endzone. That for me was discouraging.
I will say Orakpo looks good to me, the whole DLine just looks imposing. Not talking about the play just the physicality of it. I think the O-Line can only improve by going against them day in day out.
OK, now I am ready for pre-season.

Most 2 minute drills, in game action, don't consist of any deep shots because the defense is specifically protecting against them. Why practice something that likely won't present itself in the regular season?

I saw on ComCast that Golston and Sellers had a mild skirmish today. Good to see the guys getting fired up. Everything I've read about the defense sounds really good. This front four is going to bring some pain this year! Tryon is also playing well. Needless to say....Haynesworth is a beast!

yeah the 2 min drills seemed to consist of short routes for small gains. was that by design or was it JC checking down?

Maybe, But if you get the ball to the 35, like they did both times with 15seconds left, you sometimes take a shot into the endzone. I know they are just beginning the TC, but what I saw was several 2minute drills stall at the 35ish, and reminded of last years troubles.

I thought the goal of the drills were to get the team into field goal range?
