Yeah I couldn't figure that one out either. |
Suddenly I don't feel so bad about our secondary.
Kevin Barnes is in the mix to start at CB along with Chris Houston for Detroit. We probably would have cut him.
Sure, if you don't want to count the fact that Detroit has lost it's top three CB's to injury and those three weren't very good to begin with. |
Re: Secondary a Primary Concern
Chuck, charlie, charlie sheen, winning.

Well, that's kinda the point. The fact that K.Barnes good be in the starting mix for anybody under any circumstances would indicate that, bad as our secondary issues are, there are teams out there with much worse. Again, we have issues that keep us from the top of the league but even in those areas there are teams with worse situations. At least we have some areas of real strength (LB's and DL). Maybe not elite, but certainly good enough to compete with top teams. |
Re: Secondary a Primary Concern
Im gonna miss the game tonight because of my pay league fantasy draft, but tonight is a HUGE night for a number of guys in the secondary. C Griff, Thomspon, Crawford are fighting for the nickel corner position. And the Safeties are still fighting to see who slots where as well as who makes the team. Should be a good battle between Gomes, Reed and Berstine.

He was pretty good when he was here, as a reserve, but that's scary that a team would be starting a guy cut from our team at RB in Week 1...and another potential cut from our paper thin secondary at CB. If Stafford reverts to his injuy-prone self, it will be a long, miserable season for this Lions team that everyone loves in preseason predictions. They also have so many off-the-field issues and Suh's on-the-field temper to deal with. I just don't see the Lions doing much this year, especially with Green Bay and Chicago beating up on them in the division. If Stafford does down, they'll be battling the Vikings for the basement. |
