I'm really wary of Pashos.

Good risk. |
My money is on Pashos. When healthy in 2011, he was the 6th best OT in terms of PBE. Trent was 19th last year.. So yeah high praise for Tony.
Anyways again how does a CB depth chart of, Wilson, Crawford, Murphy suffice? Quarterbacks will have us highlighted in 6 different colors on their schedules. We'll get shredded.
Well, you also have Minnefield, 1-2 rookies, and a 2nd tier FA. We certainly aren't going to have a defensive backfield that scares qb's, so it will be another season of shoot out games most likely. I expect it's going to be a good thing our offense likely will be scoring 27-33 points per game. |

Counting on Minnifield.. That's what it's come down to I guess. You're right and the truth is I trust our front office to pluck a couple more Richard Crawford's in the draft, but we're playing with fire if these draft picks don't work out. I haven't even mentioned safety. |
Re: Around the NFL Free Agency Thread 2013
Minnifield knee is bad. Kiem had an article in his email about the extent of it. I believe its a 2 torn acls and a microstress fracture surgery. No counting should be done with Minnifield, its only a bonus at this point.

Well that's exactly why I hesitated to say it. We are counting on him as it stands. |

A guy coming off 2 ACLs and micro fracture surgery has a lonnnnggg way to get back, and most likely will never be the same. (the micro fracture surgery being one of the biggest detriments to his career) I posted last night, that when you have a defense ranked so poorly against the pass that we were able to keep who we could afford and filling out the rest with draft picks (remember this draft is deep at CB, S, and T). The thinking being we were 31st aginst the pass last year, we liked what we have we the rest of the team so they are priority number one. We (the FO) will fill out the defensive backfield with rookies and a 2nd tier FA here and there, and we honestly can't be much worse. |

Kenny Phillips is good when healthy. Dov Kleiman @NFL_RealUpdates #Eagles close to signing former #Texans OLB Connor Barwin, per @JasonLaCanfora. Barwin is a good 34 OLB |
look at the FA list at nfl.com, there's like 6000 CB/DBs out there.
winfield, cason, talib, smith, arrington, etc etc.
Sean Smith signed with Kansas City. |
Re: Around the NFL Free Agency Thread 2013
yeah, and barwin to philly sucks, cause he's undervalued. phillips too. dam iggles.
well, cason and winfield are my short list then i guess. talib would be fine too, but it seems like every cb is getting 5-6m/yr and well, we can't afford that. |
The Eagles can sign all the players they like & I still don't see it making a difference. Vick will be done by game 5 & Foles will not fit the scheme. Plus, I don't think Kelly will transfer over to a good NFL coach.

Vick is terrible and foles is bad too. Eagles always get hype but never do anything. I agree about Kelly also. |

Eagles were owned by injuries last year. I won't be shocked at all if they compete next year.

What the heck?! Seattle just signed another DE in Bennett. I know they lost Clemons to ACL injury but signing Avril and Bennett might be overkill move?

The more free agents seattle brings in, the more losses they'll have. |
Re: Around the NFL Free Agency Thread 2013
I agree with you but in Bennett's situation, it is one year deal so it is likely for him to play lights out this year.

http://www.brownsgab.com/wp-content/uploads/2012/03/Pashos-foot.jpg
That's not a big deal. Incisions always look bad like that. I've had both of my feet completely reconstructed (16 screws, 7 pins sticking out, 3 big incisions on the tops of each foot, all 5 metatarsals cut and screwed back together, joints removed and fused...I'm fine. I can do anything and more than I did before it. Pashos has the best rehab docs in the world compared to me having to learn how to walk on my own. What kind of surgery did he have? It's really not bad. The bruising is normal. The discoloration is from tape and he obviously just had it unwrapped by the extra texture on his skin. The incision is really straight and well done. That's nothing...really. Post-op pics are always worse-looking then they really are. Cool picture actually. If we had a player surgery photo thread, I'd love it. That's not scary at all. When you look down and it's your own foot...sure, that might make you a little lightheaded, but photos are nothing. |

I'm I crazy or are the chances of resigning DHall getting more realistic by the minute?
It's very real. I'd remember hearing awhile back (before this cap penalty was laid on us) that he was willing to restructure if need be because he wanted to retire a Redskin. I can't imagine the Skins at least not attempting to sign him back. The FA pool for CB's is dwindling and there's no telling what kind of pickens we'll have in the draft. Its a safe move. |
Re: Around the NFL Free Agency Thread 2013
Redskins should have all the bargaining chips now with hall because it seems no one else is interested. I'm sure they are considering bringing him back because now his value might actually be close to his pay.

Why not both? One year deals for each or two years to stretch the cap hit. |

But... but... I thought Hall would command $5M/year?
Honestly, I don't expect him back. Not sure we can really afford anyone this year. If Merriweather comes back and plays well, that would huge. |
