A very good read on the Harbaugh/Baalke situation. |

Lot of buzz about Harbaugh going to the Dolphins next year. My gut still says college football. Don't know where though |

I wish I was so rich and crazy that I could go out and buy a $300,000 car and just take a baseball bat to it and not have a care in the world.

I wonder if Incognito wants to sell it. Would make a good race car now. Maybe I should contact him, but tell him to leave the bat at home....

i honestly don't know why the ferrari bashing is even news. if a guy wants to break his @#$$ that's his business. he paid for it. and yeah, it's weird and wasteful, but it's not a crime.

Just b/c something isn't a crime doesn't mean it's also not news. It's "news" for several reasons: 1) Preliminarily, for the backstory between Incognito & Martin; 2) Even without that, it would be some ET piece on "Ha ha look at the rich guy bash a Ferrari"; 3) Incognito has a long history of on-the-field rage issues. Given the high profile of the NFL, and, again, even without the Martin backstory, it would likely be reported and held up as an example of what an unstable guy he is and what team would want to take a risk on him. Sure, if it had nothng to do with the NFL, if there wasn't a back story where Incognito's behavior towards another player wasn't called into question, if the guy wasn't a high profile UFA with a tenuous history in the NFL, then, yup. No story. I mean, rich guys rage out on Ferrari's all the time - nothing to see here. |

@bbrowner27 I received wonderful news today. The NFL has reinstated me, and I now have the opportunity to prove to the fans and my teammates how important this sport is to me. I realize now more than ever that being part of the NFL is not a right, but a privilege. I am grateful that Commissioner Goodell and my agent were able to resolve this issue in a positive, productive manner so I can continue my career, provide for my family, and help my team win a Super Bowl. Thank you to all who have gone out of their way to show their support. I will live up to your expectations of me.[/SIZE][/B] Good for Browner. Glad he got this resolved because that was some bullcrap what the NFL was trying to do. Guess their lawyers told them they had no shot at winning that case. |
Re: the all encompassing 'discuss all things offseason' thread sponsored by Paintrain
I am looking forward to the start of Free Agency!
Mostly, I'm interested in what the Skins can accomplish but I'm interested, in general, as well. I think it's going to start fast and be a real donnybrook. That's because there are numerous good players available and it looks like more than half of the teams in the NFL will have over $20MM to spend. At least five or six teams could have over $30MM to spend with both Oakland and Indy having huge amounts of cap space at $64MM and $40MM, respectively, at present. If Oakland is planning to spend, they could bring in several big-time players to lead their team. Other than the Skins, Indy probably intrigues me the most because they already have Andrew Luck and now they have the opportunity to make some significant upgrades to their team in FA (and the draft). Let's get ready to r-r-r-r-r-RUMBLE! |

Over and over again, we've gotten burned by free agency and yet I'm such a Redskins news junkie it's like Christmas for me. My name is Paintrain and I have an offseason addiction. I hope we're strategically aggressive and make good fit moves, not star chasing. I get the feeling we're past the big splashy moves. Allen has never been a 'name' guy, been almost cheap to be honest. Gruden seems like more of a grinder/prove it guy than a big name/flash guy. I won't be surprised with a decent sized day one move, laying low for a few days to let the market come to us and then a busy end of the week/start of week 2. |

Re: the all encompassing 'discuss all things offseason' thread sponsored by Paintrain
cooley said last week that haslett would like to play man on the outside so he can bring pressure with the front 7 or bring a safety and make it 8 (nothing no one didnt know before).... but that requires 2 very good almost stud corners and thinks the skins should and will target a true shutdown corner.
seems talib is the only thing close to a shut down corner but i cant follow the nfl as close as i used to. im worried about talib's fragile body though ..... but i think a shutdown corner is moving up my list of wants and dropping DL very far down or even off my list 1. RT 2. FS 3. no. 1 cb 4. ILB 5. interior OL really glad QB is off that list nowadays |
Re: the all encompassing 'discuss all things offseason' thread sponsored by Paintrain
I agree with this list ^ except I would flip FS and RT. (I know we need to protect RGIII, but if we don't get some safety help, he won't see the field anyway as our D will be on for 45 minutes per game.)

Tampa Bay needs to restructure Revis' contract if they can't get a trade done. Releasing him would be a big mistake. He's the best man-on-man corner in the league, and you gotta find a way to keep him around for Lovie's defense. |
