Re: Who should we go for in Free Agency?
Only way I pass is if we can trade down
Even if we can't, I just don't think Mariota is that good. Also would you rather have Antonio Cromartie or Browner as a stop gap CB?? |
Re: Who should we go for in Free Agency?
I would pass on him, and Browner scheduled to visit us after he leaves New Orleans
So, we sign Knighton, Cox, and Browner today and call it a successful free agency. Move Hall to Safety and draft another safety to go with him (in round 3 or later). Draft Scherff (Iowa) Rd. 1 and Erving (FSU) Rd. 2. |
Re: Who should we go for in Free Agency?
Rather have browner he's big and physical
|

Clayton is just being brainless. He claims that the Bradford trade takes away all the Eagles trade-up ammo. But: 1) Bradford is part of the ammo! 2) The #2 pick the Eagles surrender is for NEXT year. 3) The Eagles still have the #20 pick and other picks besides. 4) The Eagles could also add players in a trade with, say, the Titans, like the Jets did to move up and take Sanchize. |
Re: Who should we go for in Free Agency?
Still think Titans will take Mariota
|
Re: Who should we go for in Free Agency?
So back to Free Agency...
Apparently we're hosting Knighton, Cox, and Browner. I think Knighton and Cox would be great picks ups. A line with Hatcher, Knighton, and Paea would be ridiculous. |
Re: Who should we go for in Free Agency?
If I were the Titans, I'd take Bradford over Mariota and not think twice, especially since they'll get more than Bradford in the trade. But that's just me.

If we sign those 3, I might move Hall to unemployed, and I wouldn't take Schreff at 5, Erving I like. |
Re: Who should we go for in Free Agency?
Rather have Culliver than Cox, both solid corners with baggage.
|

I doubt we sign both Cox and Browner, with the need we have for a Free Safety. Unless one of them decides to play safety. |

Not to mention his torn thumb pectoral. |

He had shoulder surgery in college to fix his femur. :laughing- |

The poor guy will probably never be able to play tether ball again and you lot are laughing at him.
tsk tsk |

Yeah that would definitely be a problem. |
Re: Who should we go for in Free Agency?
Nobody wants a spread offense QB anymore

Re: Who should we go for in Free Agency?
Michael Johnson released from Tampa I would like him. I know he's probably going to Minnie or Sissy nanti. I would like him in our DL rotation.
|
Re: Who should we go for in Free Agency?
Johnson is a pure 4-3 end. Don't think he'd fit in here real well. At least not on our base D.
|
Re: Who should we go for in Free Agency?
goldson if the bucs release him
|
Re: Who should we go for in Free Agency?
^^^ yes pleeeeaasssse
|
Re: Who should we go for in Free Agency?
Goldson is done. Give me gilchrist or Parker....
|
Re: Who should we go for in Free Agency?
Give me a front seven so good, it doesn't matter who we have on the back end. Aka the Carolina Panthers defense.
|

I would love Gilchrist. He played free safety in college, but the Chargers moved him to strong safety because of Weddle. Maybe we could play him at free? |
Re: Who should we go for in Free Agency?
lol theres no safety in FA worth it. goldson wasnt a fit either hes strictly run support. man we used to like corners and coverage safties on these forums what happened? meriweather, clark, landry, these dudes dont get picks man. i want a ballhawk. im not asking for sean taylor more like haha clinton dix. if none is out there in FA.. DRAFT ONE.
what OL is left?? pull the trigger scotty and remember a guy like Luavo woooont cut it. recognize talent folks. |

If there is a player who can stablize one of the 2 saftey positions for the next 3-5 years, why not? Also, you mention OL...you talk about frivolous spending in free agency, we've seen several clear examples by 4-5 teams in the last week. I mean some really questionable contracts to unproven, average players. |
Re: Who should we go for in Free Agency?
Postions that are not deep in the draft that we need to find bandaids in Free-agency
S CB (slightly above average) QB (but F/As are terrible) |
Re: Who should we go for in Free Agency?
Apparently we tried but failed to sign Antrel Rolle.

I just said the samething to a coworker. |
Re: Who should we go for in Free Agency?
F Rolle!! never liked that punk, Chicago made a mistake signing him.
|
Re: Who should we go for in Free Agency?
Knighton and Browner and I am happy
|
Re: Who should we go for in Free Agency?
Rolle was probably a slight upgrade over Clark. Glad Chicago overpaid for him. Their D is probably worse than ours.

Re: Who should we go for in Free Agency?
An anonymous head coach tells NBC Washington that "teams are afraid to sign" free agent DT Terrance Knighton because he's out of shape.
Knighton is meeting with the Redskins on Thursday, but has already been passed on by former coaches in Oakland and Chicago. He was expected to be a hot commodity as a run stuffer, and was at one point outrageously seeking $8 million per year. It's not exactly surprising that someone nicknamed "Pot Roast" is out of shape, but Knighton could cost himself all sorts of money by not hitting the open market in the shape he's expected to be in. per Dianna Marie Russini |
