The more I think about it the more I hope it's Warriors with the spear. I was on the redwolves train but man that Howling shit and logos I've seen are straight garbage.

What a bullshit reason to jump ship! Snyder didn't want to change the name. He fought the name change as long as he could. Now he is being forced to change the name by unavoidable circumstances beyond his control.

The good news is that we'll be keeping our beloved B&G colors. That means a lot to me.

I feel like skinsfaninok - seeing the team change its name is a lot to process mentally.

It just doesn't feel the same, thinking about whatever the name is, Redtails, redhawks, redwolves, redspears, redSHITS, whatever it is it is just sad IMO that today's cancel culture has brought about this.

I guess i just need to give this a chance to see if i can get behind it. If i can't, then i'm probably done as a fan of this team. I, like a lot of people, have been considering my fandom the last couple of seasons as thing with Snyder has gotten worse and worse, we went through the Bruce Allen debacle, now this, it just seems like things are getting worse and worse. But i am going to do my best to see if I can get behind this new start.

I'm sorry if I was all negative and dramatic yesterday but the Redskins were my childhood , football in general down south saved many of us in our certain situations.

Redwolves is ok but it's also the name of Arkansas state football...

I guess I will have to really think about it and losing the skins still doesn't seem real to me.. Crazy what a Football team can do to you

I hate the circumstances of this name change. It’s never been discussed or proven that the name Redskins is offensive. We’re just being run over by a liberal mob. It’s devastating and my worst sports nightmare. As foR the alternatives...Warriors is the best but only if we can use some variation of the spear helmet and have some subtle references to NA. Otherwise I’d probably go with Redwolves but not as enthusiastically as others. Just please no dumb Washington DC political red white and blue nonsense.

I hope it is Redwolves for the simple reason it is an animal, we can keep same color scheme and I don't think any other professional sports team is called Redwolves. Coming up with a logo should not be that difficult. Could go with the name for a year until the make a logo they really like There are some colleges that changed to from Redskins to Redwolves...

For Redwolves you could have the wolf on the helmet and the R logo on the sleeves

Correct, the other owners do not vote on the name. Just has to be approved by the league office/commissioner. Although the owners vote for the commissioner to represent them, so in that regards they did vote already.

How do yout know Dan wasn't prepared for this day? Maybe the quick turnaround is because he had a plan to execute ? He's been fighting this battle for decades and had to realize eventually he might lose it.

It ain't April Fools Day. He hasn't been fighting anything he has been denying a problem even existed. This is the same guy who was shocked that Giants and Eagles fans took over Fed Ex Field in 2018 and couldn't understand why fans were not coming to games. The same guy that abandoned the warriors trademark this year. I find it highly doubtful he was prepared.

Warriors is close to the chief, the Indian. It's close to the imagine of Redskin
You just have to keep that intact. Redwolf to me is an absolute joke. We would basically have the feel of an expansion team IMO. That brand of the Indian has to be important to Dan.

The whole (fake) argument is that "Redskins" is a racist slur and needs to be changed.

We're doing that.

The same habitually-offended protesters aren't out picketing other teams with Native-American identities as vigorously. We should be able to keep the theme while satisfying the "woke mob".

The Braves, Indians, Blackhawks, NBA Warriors, FSU Seminoles, Utah Utes and countless others are not being financially-blackmailed into changing like Dan Snyder has been. The Cleveland Indians are choosing on their own to explore a name change because they don't want this mess coming to their door next, but they're not being forced...yet.

I'd be happy if we returned to the original name of Braves as well. Heck, do that with the 1932 throwbacks with leather helmets full time. It would look great!

I don't understand how the history won't be intact no matter what you call the team. Nobody is erasing the Super Bowls or records. It's all there. This franchise has changed names before and the history of the Braves and Boston Redskins is still all there and will continue to be tied to whatever they call it next.
