Like I said we looked good with the New Jerseys but the product on the field is UGLY. This team is regressing under Ron, he’s a bad coach folks and he needs to be fired asap.

2.5 weeks that Wentz hasn't done shit, when will Ron see the light.

Concur. With that said, Rivera is clueless.

I figured something out today, if you're from Pennsylvania there is a 99% chance you're a selfish, obnoxious asshole. Guy or girl. Had a lady Steelers fan to my left and a dude Eagles fan to my right. Easily the 2 most obnoxious assholes in the bar.

He’s completely shell shocked from last week’s embarrassment and it’s carried over. The Oline is completely in shambles

We will have to disagree then. Starting Heinicke accomplishes nothing for this year or the future imo.

I don't think it would be as bad as you think. Wentz just makes everything look worse than things are. Howell is quick in making decisions, Robinson would definitely help. The run game had 150 yards rushing.

Re: GAMEDAY THREAD … Let’s Go!

Good: defense is rebounding
Bad: the oline and Carson are struggling
Worst: the coaching is simply poor. Turner has no excuses

This.
If you want to take out wentz and put in heineke, then you might as well just keep in wentz. 1 can't run, and 1 can't throw....both give you the same chance of winning. Howell is the unknown.
Rookie or not, he's in the nfl. Play, or don't play. Heineke and wentz can't play well. Thay leaves 1 other option.

He's a muscular Henicken with a better arm and better decision making.

Rivera is wasting trying to win games with Wentz, everyone is ripping the OL, yet they allowed 2 sacks and provided a good running game. Dallas D is supposed to be one the best and they played better with Nick Martin and Charles. Larsen should be coming back from IR and slide into C. What they should do this week is cut Trai Turner and William Jackson and bring back Flowers and Jimmy Moreland.

Re: GAMEDAY THREAD … Let’s Go!

Translating generic preseason plays into success in the regular season has absolutely zero correlation. Washington lore is filled with training camp heroes that don't pan out in the regular season. If Howell is as smart as some of you think he is then he is learning a lot this season.

skinsfan69 10-02-2022 04:26 PM

Re: GAMEDAY THREAD … Let’s Go!

First Ron is responsible for putting this 0-line together. That is on him. The Norell signing is a failure.

Next he is responsible for signing Wentz. We already know how I felt about that signing so no need to to keep harping on it. But the one thing I kept saying is a good NFL QB is not on his 3rd team in 3 years. If he is then that is huge red flag.

William Jackson for the most part can run w/ the wr's and is right there. But he can't make the play when it's time to. He's a fucking spaz and has to grab the wr when he doesn't have to. Diggs on the other hand is totally comfortable when it is time to make a play.

Turner and Norell just ain't cutting it. Actually all 5 guys on the o-line aren't cutting it.

I don't want him to start because of how he looked in pre-season. I want him to start because Wentz sucks and Heinicke has a noodle arm. He's a good No. 2. I simply think Howell is the best of the 3 and 100% has the most upside.

And under the bus the whole OL goes.

He doesn't give a shit about Wentz either. He is only protecting him to protect his own ass.

Turner got benched cause he sucked and is a liability, like I said Scherff should have been kept, Wentz not signed. At this point I would go kiss Flowers ass and ask him to come back.

Re: GAMEDAY THREAD … Let’s Go!

The line and Wentz are not helping each other right now. But Wentz doesn't seem to have any feel for the game at all. He throws late, early, high and I think some of it is he has the jitters cause of the line. Forget pocket presence, he doesn't seem have presence.

He's an unrealistic dumb fuck throwing the OL under the bus. Everyone can see Wentz is the problem, it's his fucking ego. Next week Tennessee will kill Wentz, I guess an injury to Wentz it's the best hope for this team.

If Robinson comes back next week, he will help the OL. Wentz is not fixable.

Re: GAMEDAY THREAD … Let’s Go!

One thing about Taylor is he at least has a feel for the game and can escape better than Wentz. I am not playing Howell under any circumstances until perhaps a few games left in the year. Putting him in this early is clearly a give up, wave the white flag sign. You can't do that to your vets that are trying to win games. I think the players do have confidence in the noodle. He has played several good games.

Nope, Wentz isn't. One thing that RG3 said is he is a space thrower and I agree 100%. He can't have guys around him, he needs a clean pocket to throw the ball w/ accuracy.

Im with NC. I like Levis out of Kentucky. Would take him over Young and definitely over Stroud. OSU quarterbacks just do not translate in the pros. And every year is the guy who is finally a cant miss and he misses.

If Turner calls a game like today where everything is within 5 yards of LOS go for it, but you aren't winning with Heinicke either so it is a moot point.

Re: GAMEDAY THREAD … Let’s Go!

Heinicke's "noodle arm" damn near got this team top .500 last year and beat the defending Super Bowl champions. Not to mention that "noodle arm" played TB the hardest in the 2020 playoffs on their Super Bowl run on how much notice?

Wentz's "strong arm" has not translated into anything meaningful with a 1-3 start and Scary Terry is not getting the ball. But go ahead and bash TH and his tiny contract and results while saying Wentz and all his contract are 1-3, and he has thrown for a few yards. Wentz is arse. Heinicke may not be the final answer, but he is a hell of a lot better option than that Ginger Stiff you have taking snaps now for multiples of the cost of TH.

+1

I'm fine with letting Howell redshirt this year, there is a reason he was a late-round draft pick.

If Wentz has to be benched, this year is a waste anyways. Let Heinicke get us a good draft pick and if he sucks again this year then play Howell a few games at the end of the year.

Some of ya'll act like throwing a 5th round rookie pick in at qb behind a shitty offensive line is a great way to determine if he's worth building around. Not everybody is ready to play their first year in the NFL.
