The New York Giants drafted Engram 23rd overall in 2017 and he caught 262 passes for 2,828 yards and 16 touchdowns in five seasons. He said he wanted a fresh start and felt that signing with the Jaguars last offseason would give him a chance to put up some good numbers in coach Doug Pederson's tight end-friendly offense. Ouch
I saw Engram play a lot last season, since I now live in Jacksonville, and I also saw him a lot when he played with the NYGs and I must say he looked like a different player with the Jags. They got him the ball in position to make something happen - and he did. I wouldn't be a bit surprised if he makes a bigger contribution in the upcoming season. |

One person's opinion. Apparently, the older the uniform style, the more this person liked it. The Browns uniform should definitely be ranked last because it is, well, BROWN. |

Never dislike him but he can't block and he did have a high drop % with NY, more power to him. |

Dallas at #3? Seriously? I have always hated their unis -- what color are those pants anyway -- green, silver, blue? Of course, I am biased, because I hate that team with the intensity of a thousand suns, but they're a walking eyesore. |

six-time All-Pro guard and team captain Zack Martin is considering not reporting to training camp because of his unhappiness with his contract and the team's lack of interest in restructuring it, sources told ESPN's Adam Schefter. That’s too bad |
Re: Around the NFL - 2023 Offseason Thread
Chase Young for Zack Martin. Pay Sweat and Martin their money.

Fine except that they don't need Chase Young and we'd have to trade them Chase and more to get Zack Martin. That is if they would be willing to trade him to anyone, much less us - which is very doubtful. |

Re: Around the NFL - 2023 Offseason Thread
He started off a little slow his rookie season, but I had a good feeling about him. Damnit, Giants keep a good one:

Jones contract doesn't look so bad now, he is #14 on the pay scale now. Burrows has redone his yet. |

Re: Around the NFL - 2023 Offseason Thread
Thank god we got rid of him, he’s made out of glass:
Former Pro Bowl guard Trai Turner, who just signed this week with the New Orleans Saints, tore his quadriceps and is out for the season, per source. |

Never wish injury on anyone (with the exception of DAL, NYG, and PHI :), but glad we didn't bring him back. The projected O-line doesn't impress on paper, but he wouldn't have added anything to that... |
Re: Around the NFL - 2023 Offseason Thread
I just the reports of Chris Paul playing well are true. The G situation is no bueno. Concerned about T depth too. It seems such a glaring weakness that I scratch my head wondering why we didn’t do more to address it. Good thing Howell can run a bit.

Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk
That would be nice for CP - or even S Charles - to step up, but I do feel like they did address the O-line. They signed Wylie & Gates and drafted Daniels & Stromberg - while letting T Turner, A Norwell, and a few others walk. Sure, they could have gone after bigger names like McGlinchey, Orlando Brown Jr, or Jawaan Taylor, but they did address it. It's also not too late to add another O-lineman to the mix, depending on what they are seeing in Camp. There are still a couple decent players out there who remain unsigned. |
Re: Around the NFL - 2023 Offseason Thread
I don't feel like they addressed it adequately. We'll see soon enough though.

Re: Around the NFL - 2023 Offseason Thread
As "talent evaluators", we probably won't all agree on the specific personnel they brought in either through the draft or in free agency. But they did address the position group. Time will tell if it's markedly better than it was last year.

I hate playing on Monday Night Football. So I'm all for that scheduling. Not super excited about playing on Thanksgiving either. That's my favorite holiday. I love it w/o the Commanders winning. I will hate this year's if we lose to Dallas. |

Apparently they are super common - guessing most players hide them under another layer of clothing.
