Maybe the facts are in, and Campbell is indeed that much of a bust.

But still, I don't think that J. Russell is better than Campbell. I consider them about equal, when it comes to the raiders.
Q: Should Campbell have recognized the Raiders were in the wrong formation on fourth-and-1 and called a time out?
Cable: Yeah, absolutely. In the heat of the battle, whatever it is, we didn’t get it done. I tried to fix it, but (the officials) weren’t paying attention to us.
This is what I was talking about when I bashed him. Gotta be better than that.
wait a second.
a coach has his team in the wrong formation and its the QB's fault?
So every time a team has an illegal formation its the QBs fault?
By that token there are a lot of QBs that make that same mistake every Sunday.
Didn't we have an illegal formation in week 1?
Should McNabb get bashed?

Are NFL Head Coaches Benching Black QBs Faster Than White QBs? : Zennie Abraham : City Brights

If i said that historically a black QB gets pulled faster then a white QB it would be correct statement.
Try and remove emotion and take a look Sanchez 5 picks in 1 game not pulled, Flacco 4 picks 1 game not pulled, Carson Palmer 4 picks, Jake Delhomme, Romo 4-5? etc need i continue?

McNabb was pulled after 2 pick 2 years ago for Kolb who came in and threw 2 picks 1 a pick 6.
Campbell has gotten the quick hook twice both times on bad teams with coaches that were under the gun.
Tarvaris Jackson had the rug yanked out from under him by another insecure coach and came back at the end of the year to bail that sorry coach's team out and send them to the playoffs 2 years ago.
Vince Young who basically saved the Titans season last year and has made several late game comebacks yanked.

We can all be objective and make an observation.
It doesn't mean that there's neccesarily a cause and effect relationship.
You can make the observation and leave it at that.
If find it strange that someone would make a comment and meet that kind of negative reaction.
The reaction to the statement is actually part of the problem if people create an uncomfortable environement for an opinion then people are less likely to state that opinion.

Give Bruce Gradkowski some credit. When we replaced Campbell down two points at half at home against a vastly inferior team last year (Chiefs), Todd Collins came in and actually assisted the Chiefs in winning the game. Gradkowski at least took care of his business and got Campbell the "W", and made Tom Cable's decision look rational and not at all desperate.

The Raiders have a better QB situation this year than we did last year.

Russell and Campbell aren't even in the same ballpark. Sorry, not even close.

You're talking about one of the biggest busts in NFL history, right behind Ryan Leaf, and comparing him to a middle of the road guy in JC.

It just doesn't add up no matter how you look at it.

The excuses for Campbell are truly overwhelming...

It's O-line..
It's the Running game
It's the WR's
It's the formations
It's the coach
It's the front office
It's the defense
It's the fans
it's the stadium
It's the way he was brought up

Did anyone ever stop to think that maybe.....

JUST maybe...
Campbell is horrible?

Seriously...Did Heath Shuler or Patrick Ramsey get the opportunites that this non-leading loser get?

At least Ramsey has the actual excuse of playing behind a non-blocking Fun and Gun offense with absolutely no protection, but the fans decided he sucked and Ramsey never proved anyone wrong...

But noooooooooooo...NOT JC...

The only person I've ever seen get excused, for every screwup they ever made,is our very own president...

Only difference is...One set a franchise back for 5 years
The other has ruined a Country

BTW...I love having McNabb!!:food-smil
He's a great player and person...

(This was said just in case an Obamabot Liberal threw out the racist or bigot card at me) lol

You know how they can be...lol

Man up, dude. Hold yourself accountable.

ace - plenty of us questioned JC during his time here, repeatedly for about 2 straight years. for every "apologist" there was a "doubter".

its just that now, at least for me, whats the point of repeating what we've been arguing about for so long?

JC is a raider, mcnabb is our guy.

And btw tripp....why would I say we are going 14-2 if I thought our current QB play is bad?

Doesn't make since does it bud?

I said and started thread saying that our current WR core is not as bad as everyone made it out to be....
That we were fine there...(luckily,I was proven right, this last Sunday in a loss)

That our QB play FROM LAST SEASON made them worse than they really were...
OK?

HOWEVER..having said that...
I still am on board for UPGRADING with Jackson and think it would be a good idea to have an end zone target for the fades and jump balls...

Really 30gut ? Really ? How many times have coaches or fellow players taken the blame for Jason ****ing up ? A lot, believe that. Slim if he sees it he can CALL AN AUDIBLE !!!!!

I'm black, I've been profiled, felt the sting of racism and all that you can't pull that the man is holding the brotha down bullshit. Not in this instance. He's just sorry IMO. Take that play away, and I'm pretty sure they would've lost that game had he stayed under center. Cable knew it, the team knew it. THAT is why you will see Jason on the bench, or standing there holding a clipboard. NOT because he's black, African American, Zulu, Wachutu, or just a guy from the south. Make Campbell a white guy and I'm pretty sure he wouldn't get so much sympathy. I'm just saying. This shouldn't be a race issue, it's a skill issue. Unfortunately for him, he wasn't drafted there so there is no loyalty and very little patience. He just lacks the skills to be an above average QB, if your team isn't full of Pro Bowlers that are the best at their position and can win on their own, they just need a guy to say "Hike" then he's not your guy.

Sanchez is Hispanic. A very fine one though. That said, Rex's dad really didn't give a crap about race, and it's likely Buddy passed it down...

If anything, the Raiders should be happy that it appears McFadden has learned how to be a NFL running back. He was running with power and finishing runs, I was like wow who is that guy? If he runs like that all year they might have a decent shot to be respectable.
I seriously would rather have J.Russell over Campbell...
I think Campbell sucks that bad!

As bad a Russell was...and he's REAL bad...he did win games last season.

I'm not sure Campbell could win a game for Oakland...
He was losing against the Rams before being pulled and Gradowski brought the team back...lol

I'm a firm believer, the Redskins won..."in spite" of Campbell last season.
I think we had enough talent to do so...specially on the defensive side.
The statement about Russell vs. Campbell is moronic, to say the least. Seeing Russell last year against us, I think the following comparison is apt. If Campbell's a turtle in games, Russell is a sloth. JaVendingMachine is much worse than Campbell. NO ONE HAS PICKED HIM UP. Hell, even Ryan Leaf was given a second.

Yes, Sanchez is hispanic thank you for the correction.
LoL, and um i guess he's fine? I guess he's a decent looking guy?
Look it, i'm not saying its outwardly about race.
But just take an honest look at the trends......it could simply be an abberation but it would appear that blacks have a shorter leash then non-black.
