Brady had Randy Moss.

Boy, right as I'm starting to warm up to the idea of Tebow being better than I think he is and the fact that he's one of the true role models in the NFL, he goes out and lays this egg. Think Elway is regretting his decision to name Tebow his starting qb next season?
Still belongs to Peyton Manning.

Colts without Manning end up with the #1 pick.

Patriots without Brady still ended up 11-5.
Patriots can't be faulted for having a proper backup in place, where as the Colt's obviously never gave thought to the possibilty of life without Manning until it was already upon them. Plus everyone wants to talk about the defenses of both the Colts and Patriots, I'm sorry other than a couple players they could be almost exact clones of each other on how inconsistent they've been over the years. And finally, look at the weapons each team supplied the 2 qbs. Manning has had Harrison (future HOFer), Wayne (future HOFer), Clark (future HOFer), Stoakley, Garcion, Pollard & Collie. Brady has only had Moss (future HOFer for 3 seasons), Welker (best slot reciever in the game currently but I'm not sure if he's a HOFer right now), and then of course the last 2 years Gronk & Hernandez. But also lost in that is the fact Brady has done what he's done year in and year out with a minimal running game at best. Manning had James in his backfield putting up over 1200 yards rushing 6 out of 8 seasons for the Colts where as the last 11 years have seen the Patriots only have that happen once with Corey Dillion doing that in 2004.

Hands down for me Brady has done more with less his entire career and is the best qb of all time.

I wonder how GMScud feels about this Tebow showing.

Stokley, Garcon, Pollard, Collie??????????? Really? Without Manning you wouldn't know who those guys are.

Absolutely no way. Again, let's look at the defenses. Having a top 5 defense compared to having a bottom 5 defense. It's not even REMOTELY in the same ball park.

Again. The cold hard facts that the Patriots go 11-5 WITHOUT Brady solidifies my argument and pretty much makes yours invalid. The fact the Colts go from a 10-6 playoff team to the #1 draft pick in the NFL also backs up that case.

Hey guys, I guess Trent Dilfer and Brad Johnson are better QBs than Dan Marino!!! That's pretty much the type of argument you are using.
I would say greatest in NFL today but I wouldn't even say top ten all time. The rules today favor the passing game so much that it is hard to compare different eras. Marino, Montana, Jurgenson, Young, Kelly, Stabler, Bradshaw, Baugh and others could all get over 5,000 yards every season today. Especially throwing underneath to Welker and Gronkowski and then watching them add 50 yac.
Nuts. He won 3 Super Bowls with scrubs at WR. Troy Brown? Welker and Gronkowski just showed up 5 minutes ago, and Welker didn't do jack in Miami. Once you get past the top 4-5 WRs, the next 50 are interchangeable. Hell, Santana Moss has a 1500 yard season. Victor Cruz?

For 3 seasons, and only one of which saw them make the Superbowl and that was also the only one of the 4 Brady led Patriot teams that lost a Superbowl.

Exactly. I keep hearing about all this "talent" he's had and the truth is, he's made them.

What did Edjerrin James do when he left the Colts? Absolutely nothing.

With all that "talent", and they ranked 27th in passing.

skinsfaninok 01-14-2012 11:16 PM

Manning Is one of the best ever top 10 but he has a losing playoff record and has only won one sb. Bradys playoff record is very good and has won 3 titles and maybe 4 this season sorry but the NFL is about winning and Brady has more than Manning

Reggie Wayne? Marvin Harrison Dallas clark??

Troy Brown had a 1200 yard season Tom's first year. If you look at Tom's progression, he didn't hit a QB rating of 90 until 2004. Up until then, the numbers were kind of meh.

Wait, so Welker sucked in Miami but now is beastly? So are you saying he's a scrub and only good because of Brady? In the same breath, you say Manning had all this talent....lol He's also been with the Pats since 2007 so it's been longer than 5 minutes.

I'll second that skinsfaninok. What a punk move by Miller. Take your ass whipping like a man. Also lol at a Tom Brady punt on third down. Guess Emperor Belichick has decided to play it safer instead of going for it on third/fourth down in a meaningless blowout, ala 2007.

Put the Broncos in the mix to go after Flynn and/or RGIII, it's going to be a brutal battle between Cleveland, Redskins, Miami and Denver.
