2022 veteran QB options
 

Man Trubisky might not have had the greatest teacher/team/ situation for a young quarterback, and sure anyone can turn it around.
It is just the few times i saw him play he looked…well….awful. Maybe i only saw his worst games?
I think Id rather draft bp at quarterback at 11 and start with someone who isn’t possibly shell shocked from his time with da bears.

I say we get someone at 11, and keep TH for the last two minutes of each half. Lol

I feel like if we signed a vet and drafted a rook they would both constantly be looking over their shoulder.
The vet rebound comes here knowing its his last chance. The rook comes here with the weight of the world to finally be the guy. You start the rook and he stumbles - gotta bring in the vet u gave a contract to now and maybe its cus the rook was looking over his shoulder. You start the vet and he stumbles- you bring in the rook and we signed the vet for no reason.
I think that you either
A) sign the vet and draft elsewhere or
B) draft at 11 and keep Allen who would be more than happy having a job period. I cant see even TH being told he is the backup and being good with that. I think a rook would look over his shoulder at TH but not Allen in other words.

Look away Commanders fans. Whatever slim chance Washington had in landing Seahawks quarterback Russell Wilson was snuffed out as quickly as it was brought up.

During an interview on the Today show, Wilson was plainly asked if he’d play for Washington. Wilson, who is originally from Richmond, didn’t like the idea of returning home or even playing on the East Coast.

“I love the East Coast, but I think the West Coast is better for me right now,” Wilson said. “I got my whole family over here. I’m from Richmond and I know what you mean. I got people hitting me up every day.”

Man ... I was getting my hopes up.

Take a flawed QB at 11, suck next year, take a QB with first pick next year ... repeat taking guys with your first pick until you hit a no doubt home run.

RW was a pipe dream, Seattle has not indicated once that they would even part ways with him.. They are not stupid, he's a top 10 QB.. Our only hope would be Watson now

Russ is still a Seahawk. I doubt he would come out and be like hell yeah id go to Washington.

That being said I don’t think he is coming, not because of that interview though. There was nothing said other than the correct thing to say on March 1.

My best hope right now is Willis at 11.

Mitch Trubisky has talent. Way more than Allen or Heinicke.

There are throws made here that are impressive, and that Heinicke simply can't make.

It's a highlight film so not saying he comes in as QB1.

But I'd be totally fine with Rookie QB/Trubisky/Heinicke or Allen.

It almost certainly won't be Wilson/Rodgers/Watson.

My crystal ball says it will most likely be Trubisky who will be signed at the start of the free agency period; and if that's the case, I do not see them drafting a QB in the 1st round, maybe not at all.

I see a lot of hate on Trubisky, but after the pipe dream that is Wilson/Rodgers/Watson, he is probably the best option. The biggest knock on him coming out of the draft was experience. He has that experience now. He has starting experience (and playoff experience), and he has sat and learned behind one of the best young QBs in the NFL today, with the benefit of being surrounded by really good coaches there in Buffalo for the last year. Some of you think he's trash, but I'd rather take a chance on him than take a flier on one of these not-so-heralded prospects coming out of college this year.

No way RR drafts one of these QBs in round 1 and gives them the keys...no chance.

Regardless of who we get in free agency, we need to draft a young guy the team likes. We need a young guy in that QB room.

Not going to judge him on one play. I have seen him run the ball plenty of times and take on contact. I have also seen him have some huge days throwing the ball.

All the free agent QB's that are going to be on the open market have battled consistency issues. If they didn't they'd be on long term contacts. There's a reason they're free agents. You could say the same thing about Mariota, Dalton, Winston, Bridgewater...

I'm going to try and sign Mitch cause he has started playoff games. He has the most potential out of all the free agents.
